Chapter 14: I’ll Support You From Now On
Mu Mu sat on Yan Gui Xing’s waist, looking at the oil-stained shirt and the reddened skin beneath the V-neck, his eyes instantly welling up.
He quickly brushed the vegetables off Yan Gui Xing’s chest. When he fully revealed the small, reddened area, he instinctively reached out to touch it.
Just as his oil-stained fingertips were about to touch the red skin, he stopped abruptly, fearing he would hurt Yan Gui Xing, and retracted his hand.
He looked at Yan Gui Xing helplessly, whimpering, “What do I do? It’s all red! Is it burnt? Waaah! I’m sorry, Mu Mu made a mistake!”
Yan Gui Xing, the instigator of the whole thing, not only saw his goal achieved but also witnessed the innocent child mistakenly believing it was his fault that caused the injury, his guilty expression making his eyes red and tearful, which delighted him immensely.
Of course, what made him happier was that the child sitting on his waist was light, and his small bottom was soft, far better than he had imagined, justifying all his efforts.
Regardless of his inner joy, Yan Gui Xing showed no emotion on his face.
He offered a reassuring smile, his hands gently resting on Mu Mu’s lower back, softly coaxing him, “Don’t cry, it’s okay. Be good, sit up, let me see.”
Those hands on Mu Mu’s waist, seemingly still, were secretly measuring the waistline hidden beneath the loose fabric.
Poor Mu Mu, already distraught, hadn’t noticed the hands behind him.
He let Yan Gui Xing lift him up, moving him from his waist to a seated position on his legs.
After sitting up, Yan Gui Xing looked down at the mess and couldn’t help but feel a touch of irritation and anger beneath his usual calm demeanor. He withdrew his hands from Mu Mu’s waist, resting them on the relatively clean parts of his shirt.
Just as he was about to dramatically pull at his shirt, he heard the boy’s tender voice call out, “Master…”
Yan Gui Xing’s eyes flickered, the anger momentarily hidden beneath the deep green. He turned his head, giving Xiao Ting a signal to remain where he was, unseen by Mu Mu.
Xiao Ting, though confused why its master wouldn’t let it help with the injury, obediently stayed put.
Yan Gui Xing started to remove his shirt. He actually wanted to rip the soiled garment to shreds, but to maintain his gentle and refined image in front of Mu Mu, he resisted!
Shirtless, Yan Gui Xing appeared much more muscular than he had seemed in his clothes.
But not excessively so; each muscle was perfectly defined, both aesthetically pleasing and suggesting immense power, like a lithe cheetah.
Furthermore, Yan Gui Xing inherited his mother’s complexion: an icy, pale white. Combined with his perfect physique, he resembled a statue meticulously sculpted by a master.
However, this complexion had a downside: any bump, bruise, or injury, even a minor one, resulted in a large patch of dark purple bruising, a strikingly dramatic effect.
As it was now, a faint redness from the burn stood out terrifyingly against his pale skin, looking like a ripe berry. No wonder Mu Mu thought it was festering.
As a child, Yan Gui Xing hated his own skin, as every fight resulted in his mother discovering his injuries and crying with worry.
Later, however, Yan Gui Xing cleverly used this very feature to his advantage. Now, seeing the alarming red patch on his chest, Mu Mu covered his mouth with his small hands, tears streaming down his face.
Such a soft, careless little thing, Yan Gui Xing sighed inwardly, gently patting the boy’s fluffy curls, comforting him, “Don’t cry. It’s not festering, just a burn.”
“But…but it’s so red!” Mu Mu, through blurry vision, looked at the redness, his heart aching, “It’s so, so red! Waaah, it must hurt so much!”
Yan Gui Xing wanted to say, You idiot, it doesn’t hurt at all. Compared to what I’ve been through, this is nothing.
But he wouldn’t. Mu Mu had handed him the opportunity on a silver platter, how could he not take advantage of it?
He furrowed his brows slightly, acting as if in extreme pain, letting out a soft hiss, causing Mu Mu’s eyes to redden further.
He curved his lips into a reassuring smile, “It’s just a burn; cold water will do. Mu Mu, can you help me to the bathroom to rinse it?”
Hearing a solution, Mu Mu quickly nodded vigorously, “Okay! I’ll help Mr. Yan right away!”
He rolled off Yan Gui Xing’s legs, taking his arm to help him up.
Yan Gui Xing rose, feigning weakness, leaning heavily on Mu Mu, directing him towards the bathroom hidden deep within the ground floor.
Perhaps due to his childhood experiences of moving frequently with his mother, Yan Gui Xing had a particular attachment to the concept of “home.”
He longed for a home of his own, a place he wouldn’t have to constantly move from.
Therefore, upon officially becoming the star master of Liuli Star, he acquired the villa with his birthday as the house number—his only residence on Liuli Star.
Because it was his only residence, Yan Gui Xing put a lot of thought into its design.
Each floor of the villa was fully equipped, ensuring he wouldn’t have to run up and down stairs just to use the bathroom.
The ground floor bathroom was tucked away in a secluded area, designed with a minimalist and spacious style. There was no bathtub, no standard wet and dry separation; a mirror that occupied nearly half the wall faced a gunmetal-gray square showerhead.
Mu Mu helped Yan Gui Xing to the showerhead. Seeing that the temperature on the control panel embedded in the blue-green wall tiles was set to 0 degrees, without thinking, he pressed the switch.
Icy water poured down like a torrential downpour, its speed catching both Yan Gui Xing, who had his hand on his trousers, about to take them off, and Mu Mu, who stepped back, completely off guard.
Yan Gui Xing, gripping his waistband, watched Mu Mu through the watery curtain: “…”
Mu Mu blinked his water-laden lashes, annoyed by the wet curls clinging to his face. He brushed them all back, revealing a cute and delicate little face.
The not-very-good quality white half-sleeve shirt, now wet and somewhat transparent, outlined Mu Mu’s thin and frail body in an alluring and suggestive way, causing Yan Gui Xing, who was less than a fist away, to darken his eyes, his breathing becoming heavier.
If Mu Mu were smarter, more perceptive, and had better safety awareness, he would have taken the opportunity to leave the bathroom at this point.
Sadly, Mu Mu lacked these things; he was even blaming himself for Yan Gui Xing’s injury.
He leaned closer to Yan Gui Xing, closing the last bit of distance between them. He reached out, carefully poking at the redness, now paler under the cold water.
“Mr. Yan, the cold water really works! The redness is fading!”
As he spoke, his warm breath sprayed against Yan Gui Xing’s chest, causing the skin to tense, goosebumps rising.
Mu Mu’s fingers were rough, with calluses on the fingertips, causing a tingling sensation against Yan Gui Xing’s soft skin—but it was more of an arousal.
Yan Gui Xing lowered his eyes, his hands clenching and unclenching at his sides. He wasn’t known for self-control; he acted on impulse.
He acted on his desires, wrapping one arm around Mu Mu’s slender waist, and with his other hand, he pinched Mu Mu’s slightly chubby cheek, forcing him to look up.
Yan Gui Xing lowered his head, looked into those innocent, clean eyes, curled his lips into a smirk, and suddenly leaned in.
Mu Mu’s vision darkened. Feeling another person’s warmth on his lips, he widened his eyes in shock.
He remained passively under Yan Gui Xing’s onslaught for a minute, like a small animal, frozen in fear, forgetting how to resist.
After a while, his stunned brain finally realized what was happening – he was being taken advantage of.
Mu Mu pushed hard on Yan Gui Xing’s shoulders, trying to use his meager strength to push him off.
Yan Gui Xing took Mu Mu’s struggles as foreplay. When he’d kissed Mu Mu long enough to leave the boy breathless and limp in his arms, he pulled back.
He rested his forehead against Mu Mu’s, his expression one of unsatisfied greed. He affectionately patted Mu Mu’s cheek, his voice husky, “Breathe, you little fool.”
Mu Mu finally came to his senses, blushing as he gasped for air. Once he’d regained his breath, he pushed Yan Gui Xing with renewed determination.
This time, Yan Gui Xing readily complied, but his arm remained around Mu Mu’s waist, like a large wild animal circling its mate with its tail, staking its claim.
Mu Mu tilted his head, looking at Yan Gui Xing with a confused expression, asking, “Mr. Yan, why did you kiss Mu Mu? Mommy said only people who like each other can kiss. Mr. Yan, do you like Mu Mu?”
Like? How could that be?!
Yan Gui Xing merely smiled, nodding noncommittally, using a gentle voice to utter sweet nothings, “Mu Mu, you work so hard at such a young age.”
“I really feel sorry for you. At your age, you should be in university, not working.”
“I’ll support you from now on, okay?”
