Chapter 138: I Want to Get Off the Plane
The audition finished in the evening.
Jiang Su packed his bags overnight, bought a ticket for the last flight to the studio city, and left Qingyang City.
In the departure lounge, Jiang Su finally remembered that he hadn’t told his family he was joining another cast to film a new drama.
The WeChat group name had been changed again:
[Singles Progress Bar 2/7]
Jiang Su: …
He had never thought being single was a big deal before, but looking at this group name made him feel inexplicably sad.
Jiang Su sent a message in the group: “Joining a new cast tonight to film. See you all next year.”
This drama would take at least half a year to film. It was almost July, so by the time he returned to Qingyang City, it would indeed be next year.
Second Sister: “?”
Old Six: “See you next year??”
Fourth Sister: “Little Seven, are you so poor that you have to desperately take on roles to make money? If you have any difficulties, just tell your sister, I’ll help you. [GotMoney.jpg]”
Eldest Brother: “Not taking a break?”
Third Brother: “How are you even busier than your third sister-in-law?”
Fifth Sister: “If I’d known you could endure hardship this well, I would have made you test for flight school with me back in the day.”
Jiang Su: “I’m boarding.”
Xu Mocun had bought Jiang Su a first-class ticket, and they went through the VIP channel.
The plane hadn’t taken off yet, and Jiang Su was slowly rummaging through his bag for an eye mask.
He could finally leave this city.
When he returned in half a year, he wouldn’t be afraid even if he ran into Huo Qingyan again. By then, Huo Qingyan would have definitely forgotten about this incident.
Time would smooth everything over.
Jiang Su rummaged in his bag for a long time but couldn’t find his eye mask. He was about to ask Xu Mocun, but then he turned and remembered that Xu Mocun had gone to the other end to take a phone call.
Thinking that he would have to lie down for two or three hours, Jiang Su prepared to stand up and stretch a bit.
“President Huo.”
Jiang Su had just stood up when he heard a familiar voice. His outstretched arms hadn’t even been pulled back yet. He turned his head stiffly to look in the direction of the voice.
Zhou Fu and Huo Qingyan were walking over, one after the other, clearly heading for the seats behind Jiang Su.
“Mr. Jiang!” Zhou Fu looked surprised the moment he saw Jiang Su.
Jiang Su: “…”
Huo Qingyan was also quite surprised. He knew this flight was headed to a city with a large film studio.
He was going there this time to inspect a studio city project.
Because of Jiang Su’s comeback, he had recently become very interested in entertainment-related projects.
Jiang Su had just wrapped up filming and returned yesterday, and now he was going to film again today?
Jiang Su didn’t say a word, his face stiff as he sat straight back down.
An announcement came over the speakers, reminding passengers that the plane was about to take off.
Jiang Su abruptly stood up again, grabbed his bag, and walked out.
Xu Mocun finished his call and was being urged by a flight attendant to return to his seat. He ran right into Jiang Su, who was carrying his bag.
“What are you doing?” Xu Mocun blocked him.
Jiang Su’s expression was as serious as a dean giving a speech under the national flag. “I want to get off the plane.”
Xu Mocun: “We’re about to take off. What are you getting off the plane for?”
Jiang Su: “Huo Qingyan is here.”
Xu Mocun was also a bit surprised, but that wasn’t the point. “So what if he’s here? Why are you so afraid of him? Is he going to eat you?”
A flight attendant walked over. “Sir, the plane is about to take off. Could you two please return to your seats.”
“Sorry, we’ll go sit down right now.” Xu Mocun dragged Jiang Su back.
Jiang Su was reluctant, but he didn’t forget to argue, “I’m not afraid of him.”
He wasn’t afraid of Huo Qingyan; he just wanted to die on the spot to preserve his dignity.
“President Huo, what a coincidence.” Xu Mocun also saw Huo Qingyan sitting in the row behind them when he returned to his seat.
Huo Qingyan nodded at him in acknowledgment.
Jiang Su didn’t even have the courage to linger for an extra second. He whooshed back to his seat and sat down.
Xu Mocun thought back.
Ever since he called Jiang Su that morning, he had felt that Jiang Su was a bit strange.
By the afternoon, it got worse. Not only was he saying weird things, but he also wanted to move and join a new cast. And now, seeing Huo Qingyan, he was acting this cowardly.
Xu Mocun asked him with a worried look, “What on earth is wrong? Did something happen? If something’s wrong, you have to tell me.”
Jiang Su looked at Xu Mocun, wanting to speak but holding back.
It was the look of someone who had lost the will to live but didn’t dare to die.
Xu Mocun: “…” So scared, but I also really want to know what happened.
After the plane took off, Jiang Su asked a flight attendant for a blanket, draped it over his head, covering himself completely, and ignored everyone.
It was late at night when the plane landed.
Jiang Su was joining the cast for a long time, so he had a lot of checked luggage.
While they were waiting for their bags, Huo Qingyan signaled for Zhou Fu to go over and help.
Zhou Fu walked over. “Mr. Jiang, let me help you with your luggage.”
Jiang Su glanced at Huo Qingyan, who was standing in the distance, pursed his lips, and said, “Telling your President Huo to get lost would be the biggest help you could give me.”
Zhou Fu: “…”
He turned and walked back to Huo Qingyan’s side.
“What did Jiang Su say?” Huo Qingyan asked him.
Zhou Fu: “President Huo, do you want to hear his exact words?” Huo Qingyan indicated that he should just say it.
Since you asked, I won’t be polite.
“Mr. Jiang said that you getting lost would be the biggest help to him.”
There, now President Huo knows how annoying he is.
But Huo Qingyan just turned and walked toward Jiang Su.
Zhou Fu stood rooted to the spot.
It seemed President Huo still didn’t know how annoying he was.
When Jiang Su saw Huo Qingyan walking over, he pushed his luggage cart and walked straight toward the exit.
Huo Qingyan strode after him.
“Jiang Su.”
Jiang Su avoided Huo Qingyan, buried his head, and walked in another direction.
He couldn’t look Huo Qingyan in the face right now.
Because… Huo Qingyan had done something for him that even his own father had never done.
Damn it…
Huo Qingyan really was a pervert.
Fortunately, there weren’t many people on the late-night flight, and Jiang Su had decided to join the cast at the last minute, so no reporters were waiting for him.
Whichever way Jiang Su went, Huo Qingyan followed.
Finally, Jiang Su couldn’t take it anymore.
“Will you ever stop!” His delicate features were simmering with anger.
Huo Qingyan was relieved to see that he was finally willing to look him in the eye.
He asked Jiang Su in a low voice, “You remembered everything from last night?”
“You still dare to mention last night…” Jiang Su, feeling a bit guilty, glanced around and said fiercely, “If you mention last night again, I’ll kill you!”
Huo Qingyan naturally knew he was just saying it out of anger.
“You were drunk, you didn’t mean to. I know.” Jiang Su’s thoughts weren’t that hard to guess. He knew Jiang Su felt embarrassed. If they just talked about it frankly, Jiang Su might feel a little better.
“I was drunk, but were you drunk too? You…” Jiang Su glanced at Huo Qingyan’s hand hanging at his side, instantly fell silent, and looked away.
“It was stuck at the time, I…”
Jiang Su suddenly raised his voice, cutting him off, “You’re still talking!”
Huo Qingyan fell silent.
Xu Mocun and Zhou Fu walked over at that moment.
They only heard Jiang Su’s last sentence.
Seeing that neither of them looked right, Xu Mocun asked, curious and confused, “Are you two fighting?”
Jiang Su: “No!”
“Yes…” Huo Qingyan was about to say, “It’s a small misunderstanding,” but after hearing Jiang Su’s denial, he quickly changed his answer: “No.”
