Her voice was laced with impatience.

Li Xuanyue naturally caught the look the man shot her and understood immediately.

Before coming to the Phoenix Clan, he had sought out countless famous physicians. But every single one of them was helpless against the needles in his body. He thought he would be like this for the rest of his life. He had never imagined there would be such a turning point.
It would be a lie to say Jun He wasn’t excited and overjoyed. He just maintained a calm facade.
“Not now.” Divine Doctor Liu mused, “His Highness must rest and build up his strength. We can only begin when his body is no longer in its… current state of depletion.”
Divine Doctor Liu might as well have pointed at Jun He’s nose and told him he was too “drained.”
“Ahem!”
Jun He, rather embarrassed, lowered his head and cleared his throat.
Li Xuanyue felt the awkwardness too. “Very well, then. For the time being, Consort Jun will stay in Junhe Hall and focus on recuperating. Once your body has recovered, we’ll have Divine Doctor Liu remove the needles.”
This also meant she could finally get some rest.
And so, free from Jun He’s… entanglements, Li Xuanyue was instantly brimming with energy.
She appeared before the other four clans for the next two days, looking absolutely radiant. Anyone who didn’t know better would have thought she’d found a pot of gold. The smile on her face didn’t falter for a second from the moment she stepped into the hall.
It even made Shufen, who was sitting nearby, turn to look at her.
“Princess Xuanyue seems to be in a very good mood today,” Shufen said with a wide smile. “Did something wonderful happen?”
