F4 High School Band Makeover chapter 10

Chapter 10

It seems this is the typical process of interrogating a criminal – a war of attrition.

The principal just couldn’t believe that an underage person’s will could be more resolute than an adult’s. After brainwashing him for more than an hour, he found that he still couldn’t pry open the boy’s mouth, so he called someone to directly go to the locker and get his phone.

“Unlock it,” the principal was also a little impatient.

Bai Sinian remained unmoved.

At this time, a few more tall male leaders came into the office, surrounding Bai Sinian. Their aura exerted tremendous pressure, adding a huge burden to him.

They took turns bombarding him in his ear, resorting to threats and inducements. All tactics were used, but Bai Sinian still resolutely refused to delete it.

It had already been three hours, and it was dinnertime, but the matter had made no progress.

The principal was human too, and he had to eat. After they left the office, they locked Bai Sinian inside.

Cui Yeyi had gone to the third floor of the cafeteria early to reserve a spot, but ended up having to eat alone, as no one showed up.

When the class was over, Bian Rui directly rushed to the sophomore year 2 class to look for Bai Sinian, but his classmates told him that Bai Sinian was taken away by the director of studies at the beginning of the first class.

Bian Rui immediately went to the cafeteria and found Cui Yeyi, “Bai Sinian might have been arrested!”

“What?!” Cui Yeyi was so scared that he even dropped his chopsticks.

At this time, Shen Bei and Fan Hongyi also ran over, “We just went to the old building and saw that it had been locked up again, it seems the school has discovered our activity location.”

“Damn! Shitty school!” Cui Yeyi cursed loudly.

Shen Bei was afraid and anxious, “Now what do we do?”

Here, Bian Rui was the leader, and everyone looked at him, waiting for his answer.

Bian Rui’s brow was furrowed, and it seemed like he could hang a bag on it. After several minutes of silence, he said, “For this matter, we may have to tell the parents.”

“Huh? Is it that serious? Last time I burned down the activity room, my dad just beat me up a little.” Cui Yeyi was timid and aggrieved.

Bian Rui remained calm, “Bai Sinian was taken away at the first class, and it’s already been more than three hours. Have you ever seen a student disciplining session last this long? The seriousness of this matter requires us to be vigilant.”

Bian Rui continued, “And now this video has been spread to the public, it’s not just our school that can see it, it has become a social hot spot. This is something that we few cannot face and solve. We need to tell the parents. Who has Bai Sinian’s parents’ phone number? Why didn’t the school directly call his parents, but instead found him alone?”

Shen Bei became more and more terrified, “They won’t torture him, will they…”

Cui Yeyi shivered in fear.

Bian Rui shook his head, “They shouldn’t, what kind of society is this now? The leaders definitely won’t lay a hand on the students, but they might try to break his psychological defenses.”

Based on the way those leaders handled the matter with Lin Yueting’s parents, he could see their methods.

“I’ll go ask his classmates,” Fan Hongyi was the first to run away.

Cui Yeyi: “I, I’ll be honest with my parents…”

Shen Bei: “Me too.”

Bian Rui nodded, they didn’t do anything wrong in recording the video, and they didn’t distort the facts either. They were doing something right, but it was detrimental to the school’s interests. They couldn’t fight against the big group, but with the support of their parents, it might be different.

Those school leaders finished their dinner and came back, seeing Bai Sinian leaning on the sofa, they pulled him up.

“Who let you sit? Is this a place where students can sit?”

Bai Sinian was too lazy to argue with them. He had been standing in the office all afternoon, and now he was tired and hungry, standing in the middle of the office, feeling weak.

The more he was in this state, the more the principal and those leaders felt that victory was within reach.

“Bai Sinian, you are a smart child. Now the matter has escalated. We spent money to remove the hot search, but the shares on Q-space haven’t been removed yet. As long as you help the school say a few words and delete that video, in the future, when we have any competitions, we’ll choose you first.”

“You know, if you win an international award, you can get direct admission to a good university!”

Previously, Bai Sinian didn’t want to speak, and now he couldn’t say anything at all. He was so tired that his legs were shaking slightly, and cold sweat beaded on his forehead.

Until around 8 o’clock in the evening, the door of the principal’s office was suddenly knocked on with a “bang bang bang”. The director of studies went to open the door, and surprisingly saw two people in police uniforms.

“Hello, someone called the police saying you are illegally detaining a student.”

The police showed their credentials and glanced into the office, seeing a student and several teachers.

“Who reported the false alarm?!” The director of studies’ face flashed with a trace of panic. “Officer, we are just educating the student normally. How could we be detaining him!”

“Impossible! You’ve kept my son from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. now, more than six hours, not letting him eat or drink! And you say there’s no illegal detention!” Bai Sinian’s mother shouted hysterically.

“Mom?” Bai Sinian was surprised to see his mother.

Mother Bai rushed into the office, seeing her son’s haggard appearance, surrounded by several tall male teachers, and immediately burst into tears. She hugged Bai Sinian tightly, “Are you okay? Your parents are here, you don’t have to be afraid.”

“Mom, I’m not afraid,” Bai Sinian said weakly.

At this time, Bai Sinian’s father, followed by several other adults, walked into the office. Father Bai looked firmly at his son, then said to the principal, “I am Bai Sinian’s father, and this is the lawyer I hired. I will let my lawyer talk to you. And don’t forget, these children are just boarding students, not orphans.”

The last sentence was almost spat out through Bai’s father’s teeth. He was simply too disgusted by the actions of the leaders.

The principal laughed dryly, “It’s all a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding. Let’s talk things through.”

Then the principal scolded the deputy director in a low voice, “The security guards are all idiots! How did they let the people in?”

The deputy director was drenched in cold sweat, “The security guards called you several times, but you didn’t answer.”

The two police officers, due to their busy schedules, said, “Mr. Bai, since you’ve also brought a lawyer, you talk it out first, try to resolve it peacefully. If it doesn’t work, come find us again.”

Bai’s father was very understanding of the police’s work, “Okay, okay, thanks for coming over.”

“No problem, serving the people!”

After the police left, Cui Yeyi’s father and Bian Rui’s mother also arrived. Several parents gathered at the principal’s office door.

The lawyer inside was educating the principal and other leaders, telling them what mistakes they had made in this matter, and our side would reserve the right to pursue responsibility, recording the entire process.

Bai Sinian’s parents, feeling pity for their child, decided to take him out to eat first.

“Son, is there anything you want to eat? Mom will take you out to eat.”

Bai Sinian didn’t want to go too far, “Mom, let’s just eat in the school cafeteria. The stir-fry on the third floor is quite delicious.”

“Okay, whatever you want.”

Bai Sinian was embraced by his parents as they walked out. As soon as he took a few steps, he saw the four people at the corner of the staircase.

They all ran towards Bai Sinian, “Bai Sinian, are you okay? Did they do anything to you?”

At this moment, Bai Sinian’s heart seemed to have flown up to the clouds. His idol band actually cared so much about him, how touching!

He shook his head, “I’m fine, I’m just hungry, going to the cafeteria to eat now, I’ll contact you later.”

“Okay.”

Bian Rui and the others were still worried, so they followed behind, all going to the cafeteria together.

They sat a little distance from Bai Sinian’s table, not to disturb the family of three, but they could still occasionally check on Bai Sinian’s condition.

Bai Sinian’s parents ordered a table full of dishes for him, and his mother kept spooning food into his bowl, “Eat more, look how skinny you’ve become?”

“Mom, there’s so much, it’s a waste.”

“It’s not a waste, if you can’t finish, we’ll pack the leftovers to take home.”

Bai Sinian felt much more at ease now, and devoured two big bowls of rice.

After eating his fill, he suddenly felt a little guilty. He knew how busy his parents were at work, and that they only got to have a family gathering once a week, working overtime on weekdays just to avoid weekend overtime and be able to accompany their child.

“Dad, Mom, I’m sorry for taking up your time.” Bai Sinian put down his bowl, full of guilt.

Bai’s mother smiled through her tears, “What are you apologizing for, as a family? Mom saw this video today and is proud of you. “

“Mom…” Bai Sinian was incredulous as he looked at his mother.

Bai’s father was also pleased, “We got a call from your classmate on our way to the school, and we understood the background and context of this matter after that, and also watched this video. When I saw your name as the lyricist, Dad was really proud that your studies have not been in vain all these years.”

“We just ran into Lin Yueting’s parents at the school gate. They have been sleeping by the roadside for two days, picking up their protest banner the next day. As parents, we can’t bear to see such things happening.” Bai’s mother started to cry again.

“Mom, don’t cry.” Bai Sinian handed her a tissue.

Bai Sinian suddenly thought of something and asked, “Mom, will I have to transfer schools?”

“Do you want to transfer?”

Bai Sinian shook his head.

Bai’s father patted his shoulder, “Then we won’t transfer. We didn’t do anything wrong in the first place, the mistake lies with these school leaders. We will file a complaint, appeal, and visit the higher authorities, we absolutely won’t let our child be bullied unfairly.”

“That’s right!” The one speaking was Bian Rui’s mother.

Bian Rui’s mother carried a branded handbag and wore a silk dress, with a graceful bearing that exuded an air of wealth.

Somehow, Bian Rui’s mother and Cui Yeyi’s father had come to stand by their table.

Bian Rui’s mother said, “We have to unite and report these leaders to the education bureau. As far as I know, the principal this year is preparing to be selected as one of the ‘Top 10 Principals in the City’, so he’s been trying to suppress this matter, to avoid affecting his career advancement. Now it seems his professional career should come to an end.”
