After the Honest Man Picked Up a Dark, Obsessive Psycho chapter 17

Chapter 17: Kiss: Baby’s Little Mouth is So Sweet

Zhou Shu turned his head in displeasure, his tone nasty.

He had just been pondering how to deal with this disobedient person, but the moment he saw him standing there obediently, that temper vanished into thin air.

He Qing’s expression was as cold as ever. Thinking of the filthy look Zhou Shu had given Jiang Yunian earlier, his tone sank. “He’s my friend. Don’t get any ideas about him.”

Zhou Shu laughed. So after all these years, his feelings had really gone to the dogs?

“Since Baby says so,” Zhou Shu’s gaze grew more dangerous as he stepped forward to leave, “Then I definitely have to go get to know him.”

He Qing reached out to pull him back, not expecting to fall right into his trap. The moment he got close, Zhou Shu slammed him against the wall and pressed his entire body against him. He Qing’s arm was forcibly twisted and pinned behind his back. His jacket was roughly yanked open, hanging loosely on his frame, and two buttons on his shirt popped off, leaving his chest wide open in a humiliating display.

He Qing struggled in embarrassment and anger. “Do you know how to do anything besides being a pervert?”

“I also know how to f*ck you until you cry.”

He Qing clenched his teeth, turning his head away in annoyance.

Zhou Shu grabbed his chin and forced him to look back, planting a frivolous kiss on the corner of his mouth. “I just love this look of yours, looking at everyone like they’re dogs. It makes conquering you so much more thrilling.”

“What will it take for you to leave?” He Qing lowered his eyes in forbearance, the corners of his eyes tinged with red. “Don’t disturb them.”

“That’s easy.” Zhou Shu thought for a moment. “Move in with me.”

He Qing looked at him as if he were mentally disabled, wondering how he had the face to make such a request.

Was he really that cheap in Zhou Shu’s eyes?

“That’s enough. Do you really think you’re some hot commodity? You think this Young Master will revolve around you forever?”

“Then get lost.” He Qing scoffed.

How could such a pretty little mouth speak nothing but words he hated to hear?

The fire Zhou Shu had just suppressed in his heart flared up again. He pressed his forehead against He Qing’s, his voice fierce. “Sooner or later, I’m going to stop up that mouth of yours tight.”

He Qing: “…”

Zhou Shu pressed closer to his lower back. “With this.”

He Qing’s face flushed red instantly, and he struggled to get away. Since he wouldn’t cooperate, there was nothing more to say.

Zhou Shu’s anger hadn’t dissipated yet; how could he let him go just like that? He clamped down on He Qing’s waist, lowered his head, and sucked hard on his neck.

“Hss…” He Qing’s body trembled. This bastard!

Zhou Shu didn’t let go until he left a bright red strawberry mark. When he looked up and saw He Qing biting his lip with red-rimmed eyes—looking bullied yet stubbornly enduring it—it slammed into his heart, freezing him in place.

In just one short year, he had changed a lot, yet seemed to have not changed at all.

A year ago, the He family business went bankrupt, and the old He family mansion was auctioned off. When Zhou Shu found him, he was holding his father’s urn, being chased off the streets by city management officers (Chengguan). He had this exact expression then.

Coincidentally, that officer was a security guard the He family had fired years ago. Once a tiger falls to the flatlands, anyone can stomp on it. But He Qing had hard bones; he wouldn’t make a sound even when bullied. Clearly, if he had just yielded to Zhou Shu, acted a little spoiled, and called him Laogong, he wouldn’t have had to suffer like that. But this fool refused. For the sake of that worthless pride, he ran back to Nancheng without a word, cutting ties completely.

Twenty years of affection, a marriage tacitly agreed upon by both families—he severed it just like that. Zhou Shu had been depressed for months because of his decisiveness, feeling utterly defeated.

“Why are you acting aggrieved again?” Zhou Shu rubbed the red corner of his eye. “Save the tears. Cry in Young Master’s bed.”

“Who’s aggrieved?” He Qing turned his face away.

“Me. I am, alright?” Zhou Shu said grumpily. “Who in the circle doesn’t know this Young Master got dumped by you? Who could be more aggrieved than me?”

He Qing refused to take the blame. “I never agreed to be with you in the first place, it was you…”

Seeing Zhou Shu’s face darken, he wisely shut his mouth.

“I what?” Zhou Shu maliciously pressed his knee between He Qing’s legs.

He Qing awkwardly turned his leg away, his voice flustered. “You… don’t…”

“Sure enough,” Zhou Shu chuckled low, with a nasty sense of satisfaction. “He was right. You only behave when force is used.”

“…”

Zhou Shu lifted his knee, grinding neither lightly nor heavily against the inseam of his trousers. Only after enjoying enough of He Qing’s forbearing and shy expression did he mercifully stop.

“I can leave them alone.”

Zhou Shu released the hand pinning him and leisurely began buttoning his shirt for him. He Qing, who had intended to flee, froze. He tilted his head back slightly, a layer of transparent moisture floating in his eyes, making Zhou Shu’s throat tighten. Suppressing the restlessness in his body, he said, “But you’ve left me hanging for so many days. Shouldn’t we settle this account properly?”

He Qing knew naturally that Zhou Shu wouldn’t let it go easily.

As expected, Zhou Shu made two demands. He fished out his wallet and pulled a rusty key from the compartment. He Qing’s breathing instantly became unstable. “You… how do you have the key to my house?”

“What your house?” Zhou Shu slapped away his reaching hand. “This Young Master bought it for a huge price. It’s mine now.”

“However,” Zhou Shu drawled, speaking leisurely, “If you beg to enter the Zhou family door, wash my clothes, cook my meals, and warm my bed every day, I might consider adding your name to the deed.”

He Qing automatically ignored the nonsense, staring tightly at the key. “What do you want me to do?”

“That house has been empty for a year, it’s full of dust,” Zhou Shu tossed the key to him. “This Young Master wants to live there. Go clean it up.”

He Qing caught it carefully, somewhat uncertain. “Just that?”

“You think your house is small?” Zhou Shu said. “Until the work is done, you live there. Remember, do it alone. If you dare slack off…”

He paused, threatening, “I’ll put it on the market tomorrow.”

“Don’t worry! I won’t slack off,” He Qing panicked, his tone carrying a plea. “Don’t sell it yet. I will redeem it.”

“Redeem? By drinking with clients?” Zhou Shu scoffed coldly. Seeing him cherish the key so much, he grumbled, “You haven’t lived there more than a few times in twenty years. Where did this deep affection come from?”

He Qing didn’t answer, only asking, “What’s the other thing?”

Zhou Shu tugged at his collar, saying stiffly, “Add me back on WeChat immediately.”

Thinking it wasn’t enough to vent his anger, he added, “If you dare block me again, you’ll bear the consequences.”

He Qing tightened his palm, wrapping the key securely, and whispered a thank you.

He thought… he would never be able to redeem it. Although relying on himself meant he might never be able to buy back the old mansion, at least it hadn’t fallen into a stranger’s hands.

Seeing his attitude soften, Zhou Shu couldn’t suppress the curve of his lips, though it vanished in an instant.

Although he achieved his goal, his desire was insatiable. He approached again, pinning the man back against the wall, their nose tips almost touching. Knowing he couldn’t dodge, He Qing resignedly closed his eyes.

He waited for over ten seconds, but the expected kiss didn’t land.

He opened his eyes in confusion. Zhou Shu’s face was close at hand, full of oppression, yet he hovered by his lips without any intention of moving closer.

He Qing had never been the proactive type. Having been chased and protected by Zhou Shu since childhood, pride was in his bones. But at this moment, under the gaze of those deep, bottomless eyes, he actually felt a bit timid.

Zhou Shu waited and waited, the light of expectation in his eyes gradually dimming, replaced by a trace of disappointment. Just as he was about to straighten up, his lips were suddenly touched by something soft.

The kiss was very light and short, cool and soft, separating at the first touch.

Zhou Shu was stunned, momentarily forgetting to react. It wasn’t until the person pushed him away forcefully and ran without looking back that he snapped out of it.

He licked the spot that had been kissed, a goofy, extremely cheap grin slowly spreading across his face.

Baby’s little mouth is truly sweet.

He Qing walked back hurriedly, the blush on his face not yet faded. He subconsciously touched his lips, his heartbeat absurdly fast.

It was just a kiss, not anything important.

Despite his best efforts to maintain composure, Jiang Yunian still caught a glimpse of the fresh, glaring hickey above his collar. To declare sovereignty so blatantly… gays really were something else.

He Qing coughed lightly, unnaturally tugging up his collar. “Let’s continue.”

As the setting sun went down, the shoot finally wrapped up. Jiang Yunian lowered his head to adjust his wig; a strap had slipped, the clasp stuck in the lace.

“I’ll do it.” He Qing naturally helped him hook the strap, his fingertips inadvertently brushing against the skin of his back neck. Jiang Yunian’s body went slightly stiff. “…Thank you.”

He suddenly paused.

He Qing kept his head down, fingers moving nimbly, eyes focused as if he were merely dealing with an object.

“Done.”

Jiang Yunian stared at their overlapping shadows on the ground, his ears heating up. How could he forget… he was currently a “girl.” How did He Qing manage to be a hooligan so naturally? Should he give him a warning?

“Next time… I can do it myself,” Jiang Yunian’s voice was very small, the words almost swallowed in his mouth. “Men and women should keep their distance…”

He Qing didn’t seem to hear, or perhaps had no reaction, and went straight to pack up the equipment.

Hao Meng, standing to the side, hadn’t heard such archaic words in ages and laughed, saying he was acting like a little girl. Jiang Yunian thought to himself, Well, aren’t I a “little girl” right now?

“I’m going to the restroom.” When Jiang Yunian turned, his skirt hem almost got caught on the grass.

He Qing abruptly placed a hand on his shoulder. “Let’s go together.”

Didn’t we just talk about men and women keeping their distance…

The sensor light in the corridor seemed broken, dim and flickering. Jiang Yunian moved slowly, his heart drumming. They had only known each other for a few days; why was He Qing getting so close to him? Even Hao Meng didn’t get this treatment.

He stole a glance at the hand on his shoulder, trying to discern something from the other’s expression, but He Qing looked calm, revealing nothing.

“What’s wrong?”

Jiang Yunian shook his head. “Suddenly don’t want to go anymore. How about you go first… I’ll wait a bit.”

“Just go now, there’s only one toilet here.” He Qing increased the pressure on his hand slightly, pushing him forward.

Jiang Yunian panicked as he was dragged along. The restroom sign was right in front of them. In a flash of wit, he said, “I think I forgot something.”

He backed away as he spoke, daring not to look He Qing in the eye.

“Having that issue again?” He Qing looked at his flustered appearance and understood, making a move to grab his phone. “I’ll have Hao Meng bring it to you.”

Jiang Yunian hurriedly denied it. His small face flushed red, hands and feet at a loss, thinking this joke had gone too far. Seeing he couldn’t keep up the lie, he wanted to slip away. But before he took two steps, He Qing’s cold voice came from behind.

“I know you’re a guy.”

Jiang Yunian’s footsteps froze in place. He turned back in shock. “How did you know?”

I hid it so well.

He Qing pointed vaguely at his neck. “You think you hid it well?”

Jiang Yunian subconsciously covered his Adam’s apple. He didn’t want to admit it, but he really couldn’t deny it. “Then can you…” Don’t like me.

“I’ve seen you. You look… very much like him.” He Qing looked at him unblinkingly and suddenly spoke.

Done for. These familiar words… he had received many similar love letters…

Jiang Yunian furrowed his delicate brows, his brain spinning fast, certain he had zero interaction with He Qing. Could it be that He Qing felt he looked like his first love, and that’s why he…

“You wouldn’t… have fallen for me, would you?”
