Chapter 15: Did You Ever Love Me?
Gu Huaiye had finished packing one suitcase.
He had too many belongings to pack all at once, so he planned to move them in several trips.
Buying everything new was out of the question; no matter how troublesome it was, he had to move the things that belonged to him.
He was bankrupt now; he certainly couldn’t buy clothes recklessly anymore. He had to save where he could.
Gu Huaiye closed the suitcase, preparing to drag it out of the walk-in closet.
Xie Miaohan was blocking the doorway. Unable to move the suitcase out, Gu Huaiye had no choice but to look up at him.
“Let me through.”
Xie Miaohan remained indifferent, his gaze locked tightly on Gu Huaiye.
After a few attempts, even Gu Huaiye’s good temper was worn thin.
He let go of the suitcase, crossed his arms, and stared at Xie Miaohan with a displeased expression.
“What exactly do you want? You wouldn’t cooperate with the divorce, and now what are you trying to do?”
“Are you hungry? Do you want to eat dinner?” Xie Miaohan answered a question with a question.
Gu Huaiye felt a sense of powerlessness, like punching cotton.
“Not eating.”

Gu Huaiye turned pale at the words, but Xie Miaohan continued to be aggressive.

“So?” Gu Huaiye lowered his eyes, long lashes covering the sadness in them. “You went through all this trouble just to bankrupt me, not to divorce me?”
“En, there’s no need for a divorce,” Xie Miaohan said. “I’m not an Alpha right now; I need your pheromones. You must mark me every month to reduce the torture of my susceptibility periods. As compensation, I am willing to support you and your father.”

Gu Huaiye couldn’t see through the person beside his pillow at all. He felt he was terrifying. How could he be unscrupulous to this extent?
“You sold your body just for revenge? Don’t you feel disgusted?”
Xie Miaohan’s brows were dyed with a sinister gloom, emitting a terrifying pressure.
“Have you investigated?” Xie Miaohan mocked. “You keep claiming how much you like me, yet you weren’t even willing to do an investigation. It’s all your imagination, always thinking I had something with him?”

Gu Huaiye felt ashamed by his words.
He indeed hadn’t treated Xie Miaohan too well sometimes, but Xie Miaohan was always cold to him, ignoring his existence.
