After Sharing a Bed with the Dangerous S-Class Sentinel chapter 34.1

Chapter 34: This Pervert! Part 1

Mǐ Qiū knew that Róng Liáng was standing right behind her.

The man’s gaze moved from the empty plate on the table to her back. Mǐ Qiū stood up, turning her body stiffly to face the newcomer.

She had a vague premonition that this man would exude an overwhelming sense of oppression at first glance. Not wanting to reveal her inner turmoil, she forced herself to maintain an appearance of extreme calm. The shadowy figure in Mǐ Qiū’s mind gradually took on a real face.

In front of Mǐ Qiū, Róng Liáng’s features slowly became clear. Contrary to her imagination, he didn’t look terrifying at all; instead, he possessed a strange beauty within his handsome features.

He curled his lips. His face looked like a sculpture, with finely carved brows and eyes. His features were so exquisite and three-dimensional that it startled her. Mǐ Qiū was so struck by his handsomeness that she didn’t dare look up at him.

Róng Liáng spoke faintly, “Guide Mǐ, are you satisfied with tonight’s meal?”

She nodded. “Mhm, it was very delicious. I’m satisfied. Thank you for your hospitality tonight, Mr. Róng.”

Róng Liáng: “Guide Mǐ, as long as you’re satisfied. Mama Zhāng, see her back to her room.”

Mǐ Qiū: “I haven’t talked about the main business yet.”

Mama Zhāng tactfully walked away. Only then did Mǐ Qiū bring up the matter of the island. Róng Liáng agreed readily, and things proceeded surprisingly smoothly.

“Then we’ll leave the day after tomorrow. No, let’s make it tomorrow. The sooner the better.”

“Alright.”

The maid had said he was difficult to persuade, but unexpectedly, Róng Liáng agreed so easily. His tone was exceptionally gentle, and he seemed very easy to talk to. Mǐ Qiū couldn’t see any signs of mental illness in him at all; he seemed like a refined and gentle gentleman…

His way of speaking made her very comfortable. Although he was an S-class Sentinel, actual contact with him made Mǐ Qiū feel surprisingly relaxed. This made her sigh in relief; it seemed he wasn’t as bad as the rumors said. Some things really had to be seen to be believed.

Afterward, they chatted for a while longer. As she went upstairs, Mǐ Qiū didn’t forget to glance down at Róng Liáng.

She absolutely, definitely wasn’t boy-crazy; it was just that many beautiful things always compelled people to admire them, nothing more.

The maid had just gone to the side. Mǐ Qiū saw her standing in a corner, her legs trembling uncontrollably. Mǐ Qiū rubbed her eyes with the back of her hand—she must have seen it wrong, right?

Having eaten a delicious meal and had a pleasant conversation with Róng Liáng, Mǐ Qiū could finally return to her room and sleep peacefully…

The next day, Mǐ Qiū was woken up completely by the barking of the dog, Qiū Qiū. She stretched out her arm and fumbled for the light-brain on the bedside table; it showed 8:30.

Right, she had to eat breakfast. Róng Liáng wouldn’t be making breakfast for her again, would he? Mǐ Qiū got up, tidied the loose hair around her ears, changed clothes, washed up, and then applied a hot towel to her face for a while.

This method relaxed the tightness in her face, and the drowsiness faded along with it. Before Mǐ Qiū left her room, the maid Mama Zhāng knocked on her door and said, “Miss Mǐ, you can come down for breakfast now.”

Mama Zhāng said Mr. Róng had prepared breakfast. Mǐ Qiū felt like everything since yesterday was a dream, but unexpectedly, it was real. She had met the man from yesterday, and he had indeed cooked for her. Mǐ Qiū yawned and walked downstairs.

On the dining table were some jam and butter-fried toast. The toast was stuffed with a fried egg and a pork chop. Mǐ Qiū took a bite, and the fragrance filled her mouth, satisfying her palate completely. Mǐ Qiū asked the maid if Mr. Róng had agreed on a departure time today.

Mama Zhāng: “Departure?”

Mǐ Qiū: “I agreed with Mr. Róng yesterday that it would be best to leave for the island as soon as possible. Mr. Róng agreed.”

“Oh, is that so? I haven’t heard Mr. Róng mention it.”

Mǐ Qiū: “Has Mr. Róng already had breakfast?”

“Mr. Róng has already eaten.”

“Does he cook like this every day?”

“Yes, he likes cooking for himself because he feels others aren’t attentive or clean enough.”

Mama Zhāng told Mǐ Qiū that there were two ways to eat this toast: one was like this, and the other was sandwiching jam between two slices of buttered toast. Mǐ Qiū tried it; the jam was pineapple-flavored, sweet but not cloying, and it tasted quite good.

Mama Zhāng added, “About the departure Miss Mǐ mentioned just now, do you need me to ask Mr. Róng again?”

“Mhm, okay.”

Actually, Mǐ Qiū wanted to stay here for a few more days, if only for the delicious food. She was a little glutton at heart, and it was hard not to care in the face of such temptation. However, the shortest route back to the island from here took three days. First, she was afraid of missing the deadline. Second, if the other two guests arrived first and she arrived later, it wouldn’t be appropriate for hosting everyone.

Thinking this, Mǐ Qiū chewed the food in her mouth even more slowly, savoring the deliciousness carefully.

Later, the maid told her Róng Liáng wanted her to go up personally. Hadn’t they already discussed almost everything? Mǐ Qiū indeed had nothing more to say to him, but she went up anyway to urge him and see what time they would leave today.

Mǐ Qiū’s luggage was sitting untouched in the room. Mǐ Qiū usually only took out what she needed temporarily and left the rest untouched, making it easier to pack later.

Mǐ Qiū had always been someone with her own plans. After going upstairs, she knocked on his door.

“Enter!”

She opened the door directly. The scene that greeted her was several paintings lying on the floor, and the walls were covered with paintings too. The paintings were filled with messy lines and abstract art she couldn’t understand…

Mǐ Qiū had to lift a foot to step over them. How was this a place to rest? It wasn’t a bedroom at all, okay? It looked more like a studio.

Mǐ Qiū took a few more steps forward. The man was by the window, a slender paintbrush held between his fingers, seemingly painting the scenery outside.

Mǐ Qiū said straightforwardly, “Mr. Róng, didn’t we agree yesterday that we would leave today? I don’t know if you’ve set a time; I’m ready anytime.”

He put down the paintbrush and walked straight towards Mǐ Qiū.

“Agree on what yesterday?”

“The island matter. I checked the weather for the next few days, and it’s quite clear, so I thought it would be better to go earlier.”

When it came to observing the weather, Mǐ Qiū was an expert; observing the weather was what she had been doing on the island.

After putting down the brush, Róng Liáng wiped his paint-stained hands with a clean wet cloth.

His fingers were well-defined, slender, and fair. Mǐ Qiū had never seen such beautiful hands; they seemed born for painting. So beautiful!!

“Close the door, Mama Zhāng.”

Just as he was about to call Mama Zhāng, Mǐ Qiū thought it was a simple task, so she hurried over and closed the door.

Róng Liáng: “There’s so much fine dust floating in the air. Not a single painting of mine here can be contaminated.”

So he wanted the door closed because of that. But there was nowhere to step in this entire room. Wouldn’t the paint fumes contaminate his nose?

The paint itself contained some bad components, harmful to the respiratory system.

Róng Liáng’s voice was exceptionally deep: “I remember you, Guide Mǐ Qiū.”

Mǐ Qiū thought he was reaching out to shake her hand, but his hand paused in mid-air, stopping just by her ear. His fingers gently touched Mǐ Qiū’s earlobe, then brought it to his nose for a slight sniff.

“Guide Mǐ’s skin is really tender.”

Mǐ Qiū was slightly confused by his sudden behavior.

“The scent on Guide Mǐ is different from these singular paints; it’s colorful.”

She obviously didn’t know what he was talking about.

So she promptly steered the topic back. Mǐ Qiū: “Mr. Róng should be clear about what I just said, right? Or do you need more time to consider?”

His eyes were deep, staring closely at Mǐ Qiū like a predator fixing on its desired prey. He drawled, “I think let’s forget about today. Because soon I’m going to paint a portrait for Guide Mǐ Qiū. This painting will always be posted in the most conspicuous position in my room, where I can see it as soon as I open my eyes.”

“Does Guide Mǐ agree?”

Mǐ Qiū had to say she could, no problem.

“Does Guide Mǐ really agree? Letting me paint your beauty.”

His condition today was slightly abnormal. Last night he was clearly so gentle, speaking in a low voice, not loud at all. But seeing him again today…

However, Mǐ Qiū dismissed the doubts in her heart.

“Mhm, I have absolutely no problem. How long does a portrait usually take?”

“That depends on the detail, Guide Mǐ. It will take three days.”

Three days was actually okay; Mǐ Qiū could accept that. So it was settled.

As she prepared to leave, she was stopped by Róng Liáng.

The man scanned her face and body up and down. Was this some kind of preliminary process for painting her?

The man leaned closer to her, breathing shallowly against her neck, and said, “If possible, please expose more of your skin.”

Mǐ Qiū’s eyes widened enormously. She had never widened her eyes like this before. Whether from shock or something else, her mind was even a bit fuzzy.

She didn’t even know what she said, just staring blankly and muttering to herself, “You don’t mean nude, do you?”
