Chapter 64: Godly Doctor’s Level
The doctors employed by the Mei family were all experienced physicians, usually very steady, yet never before had one been this excited.
Of course, this Doctor Zhao of the Mei family was obsessed with medicine; he was only interested in medical skills and prescriptions.
Patriarch Mei didn’t answer Doctor Zhao’s question but asked instead, “Doctor Zhao, is there any problem with this prescription?”
Doctor Zhao said solemnly, “This prescription is excellent, truly wonderful. There are no problems at all.”
“It can treat Madam’s illness very well.”
“So, the urgent matter is to quickly gather the herbs and brew the medicine for Madam. Perhaps she can be saved.”
“Although we don’t have the Mystic Frost Flower yet, this prescription can nourish her body, buying us time to find the flower.”
Hearing Doctor Zhao’s words, Patriarch Mei felt relieved.
He hurriedly called the butler and ordered him to get the herbs from the storehouse so he could brew the medicine for his wife.
His wife had been in a coma for many days. Doctor Zhao had checked her pulse, which was extremely weak. Patriarch Mei was incredibly worried.

The doctor persisted in asking, “Patriarch Mei, which senior prescribed this?”

Patriarch Mei looked at the handwriting and naturally saw the beautiful temperament and virtue of the writer.
Su Muyao was definitely different from the rumors.

So, he couldn’t tell.

“You could have protected Young Master Mei. Why didn’t you refuse back then, Patriarch?”
“If not for that, Miss Su wouldn’t have been so insulting when she returned home, angering Madam to the point of fainting.”
Patriarch Mei revealed an inscrutable expression.
Some people and some things might seem bad, but who knows what the reality is?
If this prescription truly worked, and if Su Muyao really possessed the Purification Ability as Qingchen said in the letter, then the Mei family’s decision back then was correct.
Seeing that Patriarch Mei didn’t want to speak, Doctor Zhao didn’t ask further. He simply shook his head with a sigh, feeling pity for Mei Qingchen.
Given the Mei family’s status and power, as well as Mei Qingchen’s appearance and character, there were plenty of females who liked him. He felt that any random pick by the Mei family would have been far better than that Su Muyao.
Patriarch Mei, however, didn’t think so.
Once the butler found the herbs, Patriarch Mei brewed the medicine himself. Having cared for his wife all these years, he preferred to do it himself and knew how to brew medicine.
Doctor Zhao didn’t leave; he wanted to see the real effect of the prescription.
After brewing the medicine and controlling the temperature, Patriarch Mei added sugar and prepared candied dates before bringing it into the room.
At this moment, Mrs. Mei was still in a coma.
Patriarch Mei carefully spooned the medicine into her mouth.
“Madam, this is medicine brewed from a prescription our son sent. It is a token of his heart. You will get better after drinking it.”
Although his wife was comatose, Patriarch Mei knew she was still conscious. Especially since she worried most about their son; mentioning him would make her subconsciously drink the medicine.
