Chapter 88: Delivering Themselves to the Door

Yue Zhongxian was amused by her words.
“Is it Yue Ling? When she gets back, Iāll tear her mouth apart.”
“You can’t blame her.” Duchess Hillary deliberately provoked him. “Who told you to be so picky in choosing a partner? Those who fly in the sky, swim in the sea, crawl on the landāno matter how excellent, you don’t like any of them. Itās only natural that people would be suspicious.”

Yue Zhongxian didn’t want to listen to her nagging anymore. He picked up his helmet and prepared to leave.

Shadow Robots?
Hearing this, Yue Zhongxian became interested.
This mysterious and evil organization, with robots as its core, had run rampant in the interstellar world for many years without anyone being able to catch them. He had only been investigating for a few months when he found their hideout, which happened to be by the Ghost Lake on Moon Comet Star. He had planned to deal with it after finishing his current affairs, but now they had delivered themselves to the door.
“Understood.”
He leaped down the steps. A massive and sharp silver battle armor immediately appeared around him. The streamlined design was exquisite and elegant, full of a strong sense of technology. Each joint was flexible and vigorous, and the whole set exuded an incomparable, top-tier, sharp combat power.
“Wow! Brother, youāre so handsome!”
The little rabbit, Yue Ling, clenched her fists and jumped three feet high, her rabbit ears even popping out in excitement.
“Wait for my good news.”
“Okayā”
After Yue Zhongxian left, Duchess Hillary curiously leaned toward Yue Ling.
“Ling’er, is your idol that famous interstellar star Isphine? I heard her original form is a mermaid. Not only is she beautiful, but her voice is also very moving. If your brother goes to rescue her, will they fall in love at first sight and develop feelings for each other?”

On the way to Ghost Lake, Su Miantang stood in front of the Shadow Robots’ intelligent brain screen, carefully observing their operation mode and every move.
Just as Jun Chengyin had said, the reason they looked like identical shadows was because they had applied a special material to their bodiesāheterogeneous acrylate powder. This powder was stored in everyone’s charging compartment.
Coincidentally, her Void Essence couldn’t last too long and needed to be used at the critical moment of rescuing Isphine. To continue hiding without being discovered, she had to replace one of them.
Taking advantage of a robot entering the charging compartment with a password, she followed it inside. While it revealed its most fragile brain-machine interface, she destroyed it with a single strike from the Snow Ice Needle Enzo had given her. She then took its place, applied the heterogeneous acrylate powder to her body, and quietly waited for the charging time to end.
When the time was up, the starship also reached its destination, slowly landing on a pitch-black, cold, and mysterious lakeside. The robots led the handcuffed and foot-shackled Isphine, who was crying like a baby, out of the cage. They turned on the communication equipment:
“Report to Dr. Lauren: his new plaything has arrived.”
“Dr. Lauren has replied: send her to the main laboratory first and give her an injection of Propofol. He can’t bear to see the little mermaid crying pearls.”
“Received!”
Receiving the order, a group of robots escorted Isphine toward the laboratory.
Su Miantang followed silently.
Along the way, she memorized every entrance and exit mechanism, password, and route she passed.
Finally, they reached the laboratory. Even as a scientist who had seen many big scenes, she was still shocked by the situation inside.
The beastmen corpses imprisoned in water tanks had already been hollowed out. The severed limbs soaking in sealed jars were still moving flexibly. Rows and columns of various sharp knives glinted with sharp light. There were also spots of blood that hadn’t been cleaned, belonging to goodness-knows-who, or perhaps mixed together, dried on the work table, showing the cruelty that had just occurred…
