[ABO] After Accidental Marking, I Became Everyone’s Darling chapter 63

Chapter 63

An Le turned to Gu Chen, his lips pursed, saying nothing.

Gu Chen, however, handed him a business card with a smile. “Regarding Xiao Heng’s matters, you can ask me anytime. After all, as an elder, I also hope he can live a more relaxed and happy life.”

“But he keeps a lot of things bottled up inside. If he can’t vent them for a long time, there will be problems. Otherwise, how do you think his heat cycle went out of control?”

Gu Chen: “Alright, I won’t disturb the two of you young people anymore. I’ll go now.”

After saying that, Gu Chen left.

Leaving An Le standing there alone.

He looked at the business card in his hand, hesitating.

He knew Gu Chen might not have good intentions; even though it wasn’t confirmed, he still suspected him.

But he really wanted to know about Lu Heng’s past.

Only by knowing Lu Heng’s past could he know which direction to help him from.

Finally, he put the business card in his pocket, planning to use it later if needed. For now, he would try to ask Lu Heng and let Lu Heng tell him personally.

When Lu Heng returned, An Le was still lost in thought.

Lu Heng walked over and asked softly, “What are you thinking about?”

An Le was startled, but when he looked up, his eyes held light and a smile.

An Le: “I was thinking about Mr.”

Lu Heng smiled, took his hand, and walked while asking, “Did Gu Chen leave?”

An Le nodded. “He left.”

“Then let’s go home.”

There wasn’t really anything to see here; he stayed to see if Gu Chen would reveal any flaws.

But Gu Chen had left, and he couldn’t follow him.

Besides, although he still had doubts, he was eight or nine tenths sure about the answer.

An Le: “Okay.”

He didn’t like being here either. This place was beautiful, but because of his purpose for coming today, it felt somewhat oppressive.

So, if he could leave this place immediately, he would be very happy.

After calling him in the morning, An Qiang didn’t wait for him and went straight home. Li Jie was “left behind” at the An family, so Lu Heng drove him home today.

This was his first time in the passenger seat. He nervously gripped the seatbelt, his gaze fearfully fixed on the front.

Lu Heng: “Nervous?”

An Le nodded. “Mmm, a little.”

Lu Heng didn’t drive as fast as Li Jie, but he was still afraid.

But soon, Lu Heng pried open his grip on the seatbelt and held his hand tightly.

An Le turned his head in surprise, seeing Lu Heng driving with one hand, and felt even more frightened. He exclaimed, “Mr., you… you must obey traffic rules!”

He had intended to comfort his little omega, but it only made him more scared.

Lu Heng had no choice but to let go of his hand and obey the traffic rules.

An Le finally relaxed, but before he could completely calm down, he heard Lu Heng ask, “Why didn’t you let me question Gu Chen today?”

Although An Qiang called An Le, it wasn’t impossible that it was Gu Chen’s scheme.

Creating a chance encounter, making An Le misunderstand, and then clearing it up.

Either giving An Le a good impression, or making An Le feel guilty for misjudging him.

Both were possible.

An Le looked at Lu Heng, but Lu Heng seemed unconcerned, driving with an indifferent expression.

He pursed his lips and whispered, “Mr.’s relationship with his parents isn’t good.”

Lu Heng: “Mmm, and then?”

An Le said, “But Mr. said before… that Uncle is good.”

Lu Heng rarely said anyone was “good” in front of him, and among all his family members, he only ever said Gu Chen was good.

Therefore, he couldn’t bear to let Lu Heng see the image of his only good family member destroyed.

At least not until he was sure.

Lu Heng chuckled helplessly. If he weren’t driving, he would have immediately hugged An Le into his arms.

But he couldn’t help himself; he stopped the car by the roadside and hugged the bewildered omega from the passenger seat onto his lap.

Lu Heng: “Le Le, meeting you is my good fortune.”

Since meeting An Le, every step forward in life brought him surprises. He was very lucky.

An Le hugged Lu Heng back and whispered, “Meeting Mr., Le Le is also… lucky.”

Not just lucky, incredibly lucky.

An Le felt that in the ten years since his mother’s death, all his luck had been saved for meeting Lu Heng.

Although An Le tried his best to consider him, facts were facts, and they couldn’t be changed.

Therefore, Lu Heng kissed An Le and said helplessly, “I know Le Le feels sorry for me, but this matter is inseparable from Gu Chen. Don’t feel any closeness towards him because of me. No matter what he does or says, don’t believe him.”

An Le was startled, then nodded and whispered, “Okay.”

He hadn’t planned on believing him anyway.

Looking at the well-behaved omega in his arms, Lu Heng couldn’t help but lower his head and kiss him.

He didn’t know how long it had been when An Le felt short of breath; the car was filled with Lu Heng’s scent. His consciousness was blurry, and he felt his buttons coming undone.

Just as he thought Lu Heng was going to have sex with him in the car, a loud voice suddenly broke the silence: “Stop! Stop! Stop!”

An Le opened his eyes and looked out the window, seeing a police officer standing there with a ticket in hand, and several alphas behind him.

The police officer was furious. “This is a public place; intimate activities in vehicles are prohibited. Please obey the traffic rules and go home!”

Seeing strangers, An Le quickly hid his head in Lu Heng’s arms.

Lu Heng glared at the police officer, and the ticket in the officer’s hand froze in mid-air, unable to move forward.

Seeing how fierce Lu Heng was, the onlookers lost their interest in watching and turned to leave.

In the end, Lu Heng sent An Le home, but he went to the company himself.

Li Jie was dozing off at home out of boredom. Seeing An Le return, he deliberately ran over and asked, “Where did you go? Why didn’t you take me with you when you went out today?”

Li Jie’s questioning tone hid a sigh; acting was really tiring, not easier than fighting, truly frustrating.

An Le knew An Qiang was secretly watching and pretended to be guilty. “I… I forgot.”

Li Jie helplessly replied, “Okay then. Next time you go out, you must take me with you, otherwise, the boss will deduct my wages.”

An Le: “Mmm.”

After speaking, An Le was about to go upstairs to rest but was stopped by An Qiang, who suddenly appeared.

“Le Le, wait.”

An Le turned around, didn’t call him anything, just looked at An Qiang calmly.

An Qiang said with a smile, “Come, go to my study with me.”

An Le nodded, beckoned Li Jie, and then went to An Qiang’s study.

At the door, An Qiang fulfilled his earlier promise to An Le and enrolled An Le’s fingerprint on the study door lock. “You can come in anytime.”

There weren’t any important items in the study; all the important things were locked in a secret room, which An Le couldn’t access.

After An Le’s fingerprint was recorded, An Qiang took An Le inside.

As soon as they entered, he asked, “Didn’t I call you this morning and tell you that person wasn’t coming? Why didn’t you come back with me?”

An Le didn’t answer immediately but thought for a moment before saying, “I met Uncle, and we… had dinner together.”

He hadn’t originally intended to say it, but Lu Heng said Gu Chen was involved in this matter, so he recounted the situation to see An Qiang’s reaction.

Sure enough, An Qiang’s smile became even more pronounced. “Oh, I was wondering why you didn’t come back even after I waited so long. So you were having dinner with Mr. Gu.”

Then An Qiang said, “It’s a pity, though. That person said he has something on recently and can’t meet yet, so you have to wait a little longer.”

“Mmm.”

An Le nodded, thought for a moment, and asked, “Who is that person? Why… didn’t you just tell me?”

Before, he had used the other person’s pheromones to help An Le adapt; now that Lu Heng was around, An Qiang didn’t dare to use pheromones on him, for fear of being discovered by Lu Heng.

An Qiang said helplessly, “That person’s identity is special. If you haven’t met, revealing their identity prematurely would be detrimental to them.”

“But don’t worry, you’ll naturally know who they are when you meet.”

An Qiang said with a smile, “Alright, I still have things to do. Do whatever you want in this study; I’ll go first.”

An Qiang left.

An Le looked at the door, took out his phone, and quietly called Lu Heng.

Lu Heng video-called him and taught him where the easiest places to hide things were in the study.

Following Lu Heng’s instructions, An Le searched many places, but found nothing.

Until the last place, he saw the secret room door.

But he didn’t know the password to open it.

An Le tried several times with the study door code, and the birthdays of An Qiang and An Yi, but he couldn’t open it, and ultimately left disappointed.

That night, Lu Heng and An Le made up for what they hadn’t finished in the car earlier, three times.

Both were covered in sweat but were reluctant to shower, greedily absorbing each other’s scent.

An Le lay on Lu Heng’s chest, drowsy, when he suddenly heard Lu Heng ask, “What was An Qiang’s reaction when you returned today?”

An Le barely opened his eyes and whispered, “He seemed very happy to hear that I had dinner with Uncle.”

Lu Heng fell silent after hearing this.

An Le didn’t dare to speak anymore. He hoped that person was anyone but Gu Chen.

But it seemed things went against his wishes; what he didn’t want always happened.

He hesitated, a little hopefully saying, “By the way, Mr., before, An Qiang used that person’s pheromones to help me adapt, so… I know what that person’s pheromones smell like.”

Lu Heng immediately asked, “What does it smell like?”

In this world ruled by pheromones, knowing someone’s pheromone scent made them much easier to find.

Lu Heng, as Gu Chen’s nephew, naturally knew what Gu Chen’s pheromones smelled like.

Therefore, whether that person was Gu Chen or not could be known immediately if An Le just said it.

An Le said, “It’s… the scent of sandalwood.”

After saying that, he thought for a moment and asked, “Uncle’s pheromones… what do they smell like?”

Lu Heng didn’t answer. He was silent for a long time before letting out a cold laugh. “Heh.”

The cold laugh startled An Le. He slightly raised his head, looking at Lu Heng’s cold face and asked questioningly, “Mr., what’s wrong?”
