After Being Mistaken for His Boyfriend by His Amnesiac Childhood Friend CHAPTER 1

Chapter 1

Jian Huayi was at a motorcycle GP race when he learned of Liang Xun’s return to China.
On the asphalt track, a red MV Agusta roared past like a flash of fire.
Some people compared the MV Agusta to an untamable wolf, and the hunter who could tame it would most likely be the king of the GP race. In the vast race track, the red MV Agusta sped ahead, leaving everyone else in its dust, until it crossed the finish line.
“Lu Yang, amazing!”
Lu Yang took off his helmet, shaking his loose black hair. His flamboyant and wild appearance reminded people of the domineering MV Agusta on the track just now.
Bumping fists with the person who spoke, Lu Yang scanned the crowd behind him, “Where’s my baby?”
The crowd immediately started teasing, their laughter erupting.
“Alright, alright, we know our Brother Lu is the number one romantic in City A.”
“Not just romantic, I think he’s more like a lovesick fool!”
“Speaking of lovesick fools, shouldn’t that be Young Master Jian? What a prodigy, yet he’s completely devoted to our Brother Lu.”
That was a bit much. Lu Yang patted the man’s chest, warning him, “Enough already.”
Jian Huayi, having just finished a phone call, arrived late. Lu Yang tossed his helmet to someone nearby, swung his leg over his motorcycle, strode to Jian Huayi’s side, and without a word, leaned down and planted a hearty kiss on his face.
“Where were you?”
Lu Yang’s brothers were all watching them, their expressions a mixture of envy and teasing, all watching the show.
Jian Huayi frowned slightly. He didn’t like being this intimate with Lu Yang in public; it always felt like countless cameras were hidden in the corners, taking secret shots, making him uncomfortable.
But Lu Yang loved it, as if eager to prove something. Every time Jian Huayi privately asked Lu Yang to be more considerate, Lu Yang would evade the issue, and the next time he’d act as he pleased.
Jian Huayi suppressed his discomfort and handed Lu Yang the flowers he had brought, “Congratulations.”
Lu Yang took the flowers, extending his other hand to take Jian Huayi’s, but Jian Huayi dodged it. The radiant glow on his face froze. He stared at Jian Huayi, his eyes darkening slightly.
Jian Huayi also looked at him calmly, his emotions unreadable.
“Brother Lu, let’s go to the usual place later.” Someone rushed forward, raising an eyebrow at Lu Yang, completely unaware of the awkward atmosphere.
Lu Yang held the flowers in his hand, switched arms, and put his arm around Jian Huayi. This time Jian Huayi didn’t refuse. Lu Yang smirked, his tone relaxed, “Let’s call Lao Gao and the others.”
“Okay.” The man stole a glance at Jian Huayi but dared not call him, so he looked at Lu Yang.
Lu Yang narrowed his eyes and asked Jian Huayi, “Baby, you should come too. Lao Gao was a teammate from my old racing team. I’ll introduce you to him.”
Jian Huayi didn’t immediately agree; he had something to leave for.
Seeing this, Lu Yang leaned into Jian Huayi’s ear and whispered, “Baby, Lao Gao is my best friend. A few years ago, I had a back injury during a race, and he helped me contact the doctors. He heard I have a boyfriend and specially took leave from out of town to see us.”
Jian Huayi relented slightly, and Lu Yang added, “Just meet him for a bit; you can leave early if you have something to do.”
Jian Huayi finally nodded. He glanced at his phone; he should still make it.
A group of people headed to a bustling street food stall. Lu Yang had a connection with the owner and had reserved the best seats in advance.
“Little Lu, on your motorcycle again?” The owner saw Lu Yang in his racing suit and asked in dialect.
Lu Yang smiled, “Race.”
“Did you win?”
Someone answered quickly, “Of course, Brother Lu is the GP king!”
Lao Gao and the others arrived first and came out when they heard the voices.
“Lao Gao.” Lu Yang and Lao Gao bumped fists.
After the greeting, Lao Gao looked at the young man beside Lu Yang. The racing circle wasn’t without homosexuals, but he was still surprised when he heard that Lu Yang had a boyfriend.
“Young Master Jian.” Lao Gao smiled.
He had known Lu Yang for many years. This kid was a reckless troublemaker back then, relying on his good looks to date numerous girlfriends, each one more beautiful than the last. Who would have thought that less than a year after they parted ways, people in the circle would say Lu Yang had settled down, falling for a man.
But seeing him today, he understood Lu Yang somewhat.
Jian Huayi nodded to Lao Gao. Lu Yang immediately put his arm around him, raising his eyebrows and showing off to Lao Gao, “Jian Huayi, my wife, isn’t she beautiful?”
“You little rascal, you’ve gotten lucky.” Lao Gao patted Lu Yang on the shoulder and laughed.
“Wife, this is Lao Gao.” Lu Yang was completely oblivious to Jian Huayi’s strangeness and made the introduction.
The group filled the entire private room.
Jian Huayi sat beside Lu Yang, acting like a killjoy. Considering his presence, they didn’t dare to be as casual as usual, exchanging knowing glances with each other.
“Is your eye twitching?” Lu Yang glared at them coldly.
The person usually responsible for breaking the ice stepped forward, smiling and handing the menu to Lu Yang, “Brother Lu, let’s order, let’s order.”
Lu Yang took it and handed it directly to Jian Huayi. Jian Huayi was stunned, looking at mostly unfamiliar dishes. After hesitating for a moment, he randomly ordered a few.
Jian Huayi was handsome, and his family background and status were unattainable for everyone present. Although he sat among them, it was obvious to everyone that he didn’t fit in, and Lu Yang could see it too.
Before they got together, many people chased Jian Huayi, people far more outstanding than Lu Yang, this reckless troublemaker. Yet, Lu Yang was the one who finally won this unattainable flower.
So, Lu Yang was very insecure. Even though they had confirmed their relationship, Lu Yang always felt that Jian Huayi would abandon him.
He knew Jian Huayi didn’t like being intimate with him in front of others, but he still ignored his wishes and childishly asserted his dominance, trying to quell his inner inferiority and insecurity.
Ding-dong—The phone vibrated. Jian Huayi flipped the screen. A light blue sky wallpaper displayed a concise message: I’ve arrived.
Jian Huayi turned off his phone, turned to Lu Yang, and said in a clear voice, “I have to go. Don’t drink too much.”
Lu Yang subconsciously held Jian Huayi’s hand, his fingertips rubbing against the smooth, soft skin. His dark eyes flickered, “Wait until the food is served. You ordered lettuce, remember?”
Seeing them whispering, the people at the table teased sourly, “Brother Lu and Sister-in-law have such a good relationship.”
Lu Yang waved his hand, his words full of boasting, “If my wife and I don’t have a good relationship, should I have a good relationship with you?”
“Ugh—”
Although he didn’t remember ordering lettuce, it wasn’t the right time to leave. Everyone at the table was looking at them, so Jian Huayi sat for a while longer.
The private room was stuffy, and some people were smoking, the various smells mixing together and assaulting his nostrils.
The smell of smoke was unpleasant, mixed with the pungent smell of alcohol.
No one smoked in the Jian family, and Jian Huayi couldn’t stand the smell. He stood up and walked out, but Lu Yang grabbed him.
“I’m going to the restroom.”
Lu Yang finally let go of him.
As soon as Jian Huayi left, the topic at the table changed.
Someone offered Lu Yang a cigarette, and Lu Yang took it.
“Brother Lu, doesn’t Sister-in-law look down on us?” Someone had long been unhappy with Jian Huayi’s coldness, resentfully said.
Smoke rings curled, Lu Yang’s expression unclear. He exhaled a puff of smoke and remained silent.
He didn’t know how to answer. Jian Huayi being with him was largely because of that necklace. He still didn’t know if Jian Huayi truly loved him.
“Sigh, that little Fang was better before. She was thoughtful and completely devoted to Brother Lu.”
“Lao Zhao.” Lu Yang glanced sideways, his voice heavier.
Lao Zhao shut up sheepishly, raised his glass to toast Lu Yang as an apology.
After downing it in one gulp, he still couldn’t help but say, “But Brother Lu, that little Fang is still asking about you, clearly not giving up. Don’t you want to reconsider?”
“Get lost, I have a wife.”
After blowing some wind outside, Jian Huayi returned to the private room, and everyone cleverly changed the subject.
“Lu Yang, I should go. Have fun.”
Having kept Jian Huayi for so long, Lu Yang decided to stop there and smiled, “Baby, be careful on the road.”
Jian Huayi left, paying the bill for them.
A total of 1,500, just a meal for him, but a huge difference for Lu Yang and the others.
Yet they enjoyed it without a second thought, while complaining about Jian Huayi’s coldness and disdain for them.
Jian Huayi was like a piece of ice without warmth, offering no hope of thawing.
Someone was curious, winking at Lu Yang in a lecherous way, “Brother Lu, did you… you know… with Sister-in-law? Is she like that in bed…?”
Lu Yang glanced at him without speaking.
“What do you mean by that? Are you suggesting Brother Lu is not capable?!”
“Hehe, I’m just worried about Brother Lu’s… happiness. I got something good from a friend, guaranteed to make even the coldest person passionate… Brother Lu, if you need it, just tell me.”
The topic circled back to “Little Fang”.
“Little Fang wanted to get this from me before, but I was worried about him using it on Brother Lu, so I didn’t give it to her.”
“What do you mean? Brother Lu seems like someone who needs that kind of thing. Brother Lu is the strongest man in City A, right?!”
A burst of laughter.
Lu Yang was annoyed by the noise, but their words unconsciously brought up the image of the young man in his mind. He wasn’t as handsome as Jian Huayi, but he was attractive, especially those slightly drooping round eyes, which made people feel protective.
Why did he break up with her? Lu Yang took a puff of smoke. It was because he was too clingy; she was annoyed and broke up with him.
It wasn’t a special day. Tianyun Airport wasn’t crowded. The cold female voice of the airport broadcast echoed in the hall.
Jian Huayi didn’t let the driver drive into the airport.
The plane landed early, and the few passengers had already left the station. The exit was empty, only one figure remained.
The man was wearing a light gray windbreaker, one hand in his pocket, the other holding a suitcase. After a long time, he had shed the youthfulness of his teenage years, becoming more and more reserved, his jaw tight, his brow bones sharp, his dark eyes hinting at an inner sharpness.
“Liang Xun.”
Liang Xun looked up, looking at Jian Huayi walking towards him. A barely perceptible smile touched his cold profile. He extended a hand, “Long time no see, Jian Huayi.”
Their palms briefly touched.
Jian Huayi grasped the hand in front of him, looking down at the hand, a full size larger than his own, and made a rare joke, “Looks like the food overseas is pretty good.”
“Decent.”
Liang Xun released his hand and walked side-by-side with Jian Huayi.
Liang Xun’s surname was Liang, but he grew up in the Jian family. Compared to his status as an illegitimate child of the Liang family, the title of adopted son of the Jian family seemed more fitting. The Jian family had three sons. Jian Huayi was the second son and the only one who wasn’t openly hostile towards Liang Xun, but that was the extent of it.
Jian Huayi had a cold personality, and when he was young, he also had a proud air about him. Liang Xun knew he simply wasn’t interested in paying attention to him.
Lu Yang slumped on the sofa, his face flushed, his phone sandwiched between his shoulder and ear, surrounded by several onlookers.
“Hello, wife.”
His voice was slurred. Jian Huayi lowered his brows, “You’re drunk, Lu Yang.”
“Yeah, Lao Gao was there today, I drank a lot.” Lu Yang rubbed his temples. As soon as he looked up, he saw his brothers watching him with amusement, like watching a monkey. “Get lost, get lost.”
Jian Huayi waited for Lu Yang’s side to quiet down before continuing, “I’ll send the driver to pick you up.”
Hearing this, Lu Yang immediately sobered up. Remembering the purpose of his call, he mumbled, “Wife, can you come pick me up yourself?”
Jian Huayi really had something to do tonight. Liang Xun had returned to the country, and his father had gathered the whole family to welcome Liang Xun.
He couldn’t refuse.
The air fell silent.
Lu Yang’s eyes suddenly reddened. For the first time, he actively hung up the phone, tossed it aside, and lay back on the sofa.
“Brother Lu, what’s wrong?”
Lu Yang took a deep breath, recalling the scene of Jian Huayi walking side-by-side with another man, his head throbbing.
He said he had something to do; it was to accompany another man.
After a while, he exhaled a sigh, muttering something under his breath. He grabbed the arm of the person who had approached to ask, whispering in his ear, “Call Fang Chengyi.”
After hanging up the phone, Jian Huayi found Liang Xun looking at him, observing carefully, dark eyes seeming to swirl with elusive emotions.
“Boyfriend?” Liang Xun asked.
Jian Huayi’s fingertips paused, “Yeah.”
