Chapter 77 I Found Your Biological Parents
“Qingyan, kiss me.”
The man’s tone was calm and matter-of-fact. Lin Qingyan was stunned for a moment before reacting. This time Gu Fei was really asking for a kiss, not reminding him about something on his mouth.
He didn’t intend to refuse. After hesitating for a moment, he put the roses he was holding aside.
Then, the boy obediently leaned in, slightly raising his chin, touching two dry, soft lips. He shyly closed his eyes, his long, thick eyelashes trembling slightly.
Gu Fei’s Adam’s apple bobbed. It was as if a feather had lightly fallen on his heart—weightless, but itchy, stirring a ripple within him.
The kiss lasted only two seconds. Just as Lin Qingyan was about to pull away, Gu Fei suddenly reached out and wrapped his arms around his waist, pulling him closer, holding the back of his head, and lowering his head to deepen the kiss.
Gu Fei’s kiss wasn’t as simple as Lin Qingyan’s; it wasn’t a fleeting touch. It was gentle, restrained, yet powerfully irresistible. It invaded Lin Qingyan’s territory smoothly, as if pouring all the days of longing into this kiss.
The night outside the car window deepened, the night wind bringing a hint of coolness, but the temperature in the confined space of the car was rising, spreading little by little to the young man’s cheeks.
An ambiguous and amorous atmosphere lingered between them.
Lin Qingyan surrendered, never thinking of defending himself, even actively wrapping his arms around the man’s waist, tentatively responding to his kiss, which in turn led to the man’s more unrestrained invasion.
This long kiss lasted for an unknown amount of time, until Lin Qingyan’s face was flushed red, and he couldn’t breathe. Only then did Gu Fei let go of him, lingeringly pecking his lips twice, which were now red and glossy from the kiss.
The person in front of him was even more captivating than the vibrant red roses to Gu Fei.
“It seems Qingyan hasn’t learned to breathe yet.” Gu Fei’s calm tone was laced with a hint of pampering. He kept his arm around Lin Qingyan’s waist, his palm resting lightly on the top of the young man’s head, rubbing gently, and then leaning down to kiss him there again.
Lin Qingyan’s face flushed red, unsure whether to say it or not, “…I didn’t wash my hair.”
Gu Fei: “…”
They embraced silently. Lin Qingyan still felt embarrassed, burying his head in Gu Fei’s shoulder, but he didn’t let go, still tightly holding the man’s strong waist. The air was filled with the man’s faint scent, and Lin Qingyan’s heart was filled to the point of overflowing.
In a place where Gu Fei couldn’t see, the corners of the young man’s mouth turned upward. His voice was soft and gentle, “I’m really happy now, because I saw you.”
Gu Fei, usually taciturn, simply tightened his arms. He looked down quietly at the person in his arms. The young man’s exposed nape was white and flushed, his shoulders slender. He casually stroked the young man’s spine, his eyes filled with complex emotions.
The atmosphere in the car was warm and harmonious until a rumbling sound suddenly broke the silence—Lin Qingyan’s stomach protesting.
Lin Qingyan immediately embarrassedly covered his stomach.
Gu Fei couldn’t help but chuckle.
“Hungry?”
“Mm, haven’t had dinner yet.” Lin Qingyan nodded honestly.
Gu Fei finally released him, picking up the bag on the passenger seat. “I bought it for you when I passed a cake shop.” He opened the bag, inside were several delicately decorated small cakes, looking very appetizing.
Lin Qingyan couldn’t help but swallow. He was even hungrier.
Gu Fei saw his expression and a smile flashed in his eyes. “They’re all yours.” He opened a Black Forest cherry cake box and inserted a small fork, then handed it to Lin Qingyan, “Eat.”
“Thank you.”
Lin Qingyan smiled and took the cake, lowering his head to eat. Perhaps because Gu Fei bought it for him, the cake tasted exceptionally delicious.
He ate happily. He looked up to find the man staring at him, those beautiful eyes looking particularly deep and gentle and affectionate under the night.
Lin Qingyan paused, then scooped up a piece of cake and held it to Gu Fei’s mouth, saying expectantly, “Do you want some?”
However, Gu Fei didn’t open his mouth. Lin Qingyan thought he didn’t want to eat it, or disliked that it was a used fork. Gu Ye wouldn’t eat something someone else had eaten. He immediately blushed with embarrassment, quickly saying, “Sorry.”
Just as he was about to pull his hand back, Gu Fei grabbed his wrist and opened his mouth to eat the cake. Although he was eating cake, his eyes were still on Lin Qingyan.
“Delicious.” Gu Fei said.
Lin Qingyan’s hand trembled slightly as he hesitantly pulled it back, feeling even more embarrassed. Although Gu Fei was talking about the cake, why did he have some strange thoughts? He smiled awkwardly, “If you like it, eat more.”
Gu Fei, “Mm.”
Lin Qingyan noticed that the man was still looking at him, his expression calm and composed…He silently looked away, as if getting the meaning behind that look, and scooped another piece of cake to Gu Fei’s mouth.
A subtle curve appeared on Gu Fei’s lips as he ate it again. He rarely ate sweets. And Gu Ye certainly wouldn’t eat something someone else had eaten, but Lin Qingyan was different.
Like this, Lin Qingyan only ate half of the small cake, the other half ending up in Gu Fei’s stomach. Gu Ye, having a sudden pang of conscience, didn’t compete with the kid for food anymore.
He got another mousse cake for Lin Qingyan. While eating, Lin Qingyan secretly watched the man. Seeing that he didn’t ask for more food, he ate with peace of mind.
Lin Qingyan didn’t know that all his little actions were seen by the man beside him. Gu Fei couldn’t help but purse his lips, attentively watching the young man’s expression as he ate, his eyes slightly curved, seemingly very satisfied.
After finishing the mousse cake, Lin Qingyan was still not full, secretly glancing at the bag; there were still two cakes left. He sadly looked away.
He couldn’t eat them, he would get fat.
“Fei-ge, I’m full.”
“Really?” Gu Fei looked at him, reaching out to wipe a bit of cake crumb from his mouth, “Eating too many sweets isn’t good. Fei-ge will take you to eat something else.”
Lin Qingyan shook his head, “No, no, I’ll just go to the cafeteria later. I can’t go back too late.” He was content to spend more time with Gu Fei in the car.
“Mm.” Gu Fei rubbed the soft short hair of the young man. He thought it was time to get to the point. This matter…Lin Qingyan had the right to know first.
Gu Fei didn’t immediately present the results to him but instead asked Lin Qingyan, “Qingyan, have you ever thought that you’re not your parents’ biological child?”
Lin Qingyan didn’t understand why he suddenly asked this. He chuckled wryly, “I have thought about it, but I was born by my mother after ten months of pregnancy in the hospital.” So, it was just a thought.
Gu Fei was silent.
After a moment, he looked seriously into the young man’s eyes, his gaze gentle, and said solemnly, “Qingyan, Fei-ge has something very important to tell you.”
“Mm?” Lin Qingyan looked at Gu Fei’s serious expression in confusion. He couldn’t imagine what could be so important, unless Gu Fei was going to break up with him, but that…was impossible, absolutely impossible!
“For you now, it might be good news.”
“Good news?” Lin Qingyan frowned in confusion.
Gu Fei took his briefcase and took out three documents, “These are three DNA test reports. These two are of your parents, Lin Jianxiang and Zhou Yuelian.”
Lin Qingyan was startled. Combining Gu Fei’s words…He hesitantly took the two reports from the man, his eyes immediately falling on the bright red characters: No Biological Relationship Confirmed.
After testing by our center, Lin Qingyan and Lin Jianxiang are confirmed to have no biological relationship.
Lin Qingyan’s heart skipped a beat, his heart suddenly accelerating, his body almost going limp. His trembling hand reached for the other report, the result was the same:
After testing by our center, Lin Qingyan and Zhou Yuelian are confirmed to have no biological relationship.
“No biological relationship…” His mind went blank, buzzing. He tightly clutched the papers, his throat as if something was stuck, unable to speak for a long time.
He looked at Gu Fei for help.
“As you see, Lin Jianxiang and Zhou Yuelian are not your biological parents.” Gu Fei held his face, his gaze exceptionally gentle, his tone equally soft, “Sorry, I investigated your background without your permission.”
“It’s okay…” Lin Qingyan’s expression was dazed; he hadn’t fully accepted the fact yet. Gu Fei didn’t speak, but gently stroked his spine, comforting him in his own way.
After all, this kind of thing is indeed difficult for anyone to accept.
Lin Jianxiang and Zhou Yuelian are not my biological parents…Lin Qingyan repeated this sentence in his mind over and over again, still uncertainly asking Gu Fei, “Is it true?”
Gu Fei said, “Absolutely true.”
“I had someone collect hair samples from that couple for DNA testing.”
Lin Qingyan was silent for a moment, accepting the fact more quickly than he’d expected. He tried to remain calm, “Mm, I understand.” Knowing that those two weren’t his biological parents, he actually felt a sense of relief.
If he had acted on his suspicions earlier, he might have known the results sooner. If it weren’t for Gu Fei, he…no, in two lifetimes, he would never have known the truth.
“Fei-ge, thank you very much for letting me know the truth, but when did you start suspecting that I wasn’t their biological child?”
“The day you were locked in the room by Zhou Yuelian.”
Lin Qingyan vaguely remembered. At that time, Gu Fei directly told him you’re not your mother’s biological child. He asked why, and Gu Fei had frankly said that his parents and brother were ugly, but he was handsome.
So, Gu Fei was a prophet.
Although he had accepted the facts, Lin Qingyan’s mind was still a mess.
“Actually, I knew the results a while ago.” Gu Fei looked into the young man’s eyes, saying softly, “The reason I didn’t tell you was because I was investigating your biological parents.”
“Now, I’ve found them.”
