After Being Reborn, I Became Explosively Popular Across the Entire Internet CHAPTER 91

Chapter 91: An Nanyi’s Downfall

Lin Qingyan didn’t know that his story had caused a huge sensation online. He had a rare night of peaceful sleep.

He woke up to a bright and sunny morning. When he woke up, the weather was bright and sunny. Large patches of sunlight poured in through the window.

Gu Fei came out of the bathroom and saw this scene. The young man was sitting on the bed, eyes half-closed, still drowsy, the bright sunlight illuminating his profile, every strand of his tousled hair seemed to radiate light.

Lin Qingyan smiled at him. “Ge Fei, morning.”

Gu Fei’s Adam’s apple bobbed. “Morning.” He walked to the bedside, couldn’t help but reach out to press down a strand of stubborn hair sticking up on the young man’s head. It popped back up as soon as he let go. “Can you wash up yourself?”

Lin Qingyan: “I… should be able to.”

“Then you can’t.” Gu Fei directly scooped him up and turned towards the bathroom. Lin Qingyan’s eyes widened in surprise, instinctively hugging the man’s neck.

His round, fair earlobes immediately turned red, his expression slightly shy. He mumbled softly, “Ge Fei, I hurt my arm, not my leg. I can walk.”

The man didn’t speak, but a hint of a smile flashed in his eyes, making his usually cold and mature face appear more vibrant.

“…” Lin Qingyan felt like a helpless invalid. Gu Fei squeezed toothpaste onto his toothbrush and put it to his lips, almost brushing his teeth for him. He didn’t need to lift a finger to wash his face; Gu Fei took care of everything.

After brushing his teeth and washing his face, Gu Fei looked at the fair, radiant face with satisfaction. He leaned down and kissed the soft lips, sharing a kiss filled with minty freshness.

The young man was extremely obedient, standing still and letting him do as he pleased, even tentatively responding. Gu Fei was captivated by his docility, but eventually restrained himself.

“What do you want for breakfast?” Gu Fei gently wiped away the saliva on the young man’s lips with his fingertip. Lin Qingyan blushed, shyly turning his face away. “Um… anything is fine.”

Not long after Gu Fei went out, there was a knock on the door. Lin Qingyan thought it was a nurse or his parents. His mood was good, a light smile playing on his lips. He said, “Come in.”

Unexpectedly, it was An Nanyi.

The smile on Lin Qingyan’s face immediately vanished, his gaze wary as he looked at the man standing at the door.

Perhaps afraid of being recognized, An Nanyi was wearing ordinary trousers and a short-sleeved shirt, a baseball cap, and a mask, obscuring his entire face. But Lin Qingyan recognized him instantly.

An Nanyi took off his hat and mask, revealing a somewhat haggard face, his eyes red-rimmed and dark circles under his eyes, suggesting a sleepless night. He looked at Lin Qingyan, “Yan Yan…”

Lin Qingyan frowned slightly and stepped back two paces. “What do you want?” His calm tone held a hint of coldness. He was disgusted and repelled by An Nanyi’s sudden arrival, sensing something bad was about to happen.

An Nanyi maintained his usual pitiful appearance, tears welling in his eyes as he lowered his gaze slightly. “I came today to apologize. I’m sorry.”

He spoke sincerely, but Lin Qingyan didn’t believe a word. He knew An Nanyi better than anyone. “I’m sorry, I don’t accept your apology. Please leave.”

The young man’s tone was colder.

“Yan Yan, I really know I was wrong…”

“I was momentarily confused and did a lot of things that hurt you. I didn’t intentionally hide the truth; I was just scared… scared of being kicked out of the An family.”

“Yan Yan, please, don’t let Mom and Dad chase me away. I have nowhere else to go. It’s my fault. I won’t hurt you again…”

An Nanyi choked back sobs, his tearful appearance looking pitiful. Lin Qingyan found it funny.

He watched the other’s performance impassively, finally curving his lips into a smile, but there was no amusement in his eyes. “An Nanyi, you should say that to them.”

“Stop acting in front of me. Your acting is terrible.”

At these words, the expression on An Nanyi’s face slowly froze. He looked at Lin Qingyan, his gaze dark. “Lin Qingyan, have you forgotten something? I’m the son the An family loved for nineteen years.”

“Even if you’re back, what does it matter? To my parents and brother, you’re just a stranger. You saw how good my mother and brother are to me.”

Lin Qingyan remained silent, quietly looking at him.

“Since I was little, I’ve been doted on by my parents and brother. They gave me whatever I wanted and never let me suffer. We lived together for nineteen years!”

An Nanyi smirked, looking disdainful. “Do you know what nineteen years means? I’m the one who’s family with them. They’re my parents, my brother! Lin Qingyan, you shouldn’t be here. Aren’t you doing fine at the Lin family? That’s your home!”

Lin Qingyan remained calm and composed, influenced by Gu Fei’s calm and collected demeanor after spending time with him.

Previously, those words might have affected Lin Qingyan, but now he didn’t care.

However, An Nanyi’s arrogant attitude was irritating. Unlike his past life, he wouldn’t let others manipulate him, and his tone was impolite. “I suggest you say that to them.”

He suddenly smiled. “By the way, you probably don’t know, you’ll be kicked out of the An family soon.”

Politeness wasn’t necessary when speaking to someone like An Nanyi.

An Nanyi’s expression darkened, a flicker of sadness in his eyes. He muttered, “Why… why do you have to take everything from me?”

Lin Qingyan, it was all because of Lin Qingyan. He had lost everything. Everyone was cursing him, calling him insidious, vicious, selfish, despicable, and shameless, telling him to get out of the entertainment industry…

He just wanted to protect what was his!

Sadness and anger quickly overwhelmed An Nanyi’s reason. Suddenly, like a madman, before Lin Qingyan could react, his hands clamped around the other’s neck. “Lin Qingyan, it’s all because of you…”

An Nanyi’s grip was strong, his expression almost ferocious.

Although he didn’t feel pain, Lin Qingyan couldn’t speak and could barely breathe. He tried to pry the hands from his neck, but it was useless.

“I’ve lost everything, it’s all your fault!!”

Lin Qingyan couldn’t breathe, his fair face turning crimson.

Just then, someone entered—An Jing, followed by An Yu and An’s father and mother. They were instantly shocked by the scene before them.

Without a second thought, An Jing rushed in and kicked An Nanyi. The action was sudden and forceful; An Nanyi fell to the ground.

Lin Qingyan stumbled and fell as well.

“What the hell are you doing?!” An Jing roared at An Nanyi, then turned to help Lin Qingyan up. The other three rushed in anxiously.

“Yan Yan!”

“Are you alright?”

“Yan Yan, what happened?”

Lin Qingyan was helped to sit on the bed. Everyone looked at him with worry and concern. He gasped for air, feeling his breathing return to normal, then shook his head. “I’m fine…”

Although he said he was fine, his neck was terribly red. His skin was fair, making the finger marks clearly visible, shocking the An family.

Song Shuman was especially heartbroken. “How can you be fine when you’re like this? Does it hurt?”

An Lingkang, worried, told his second son, “An Yu, quickly call a doctor.”

“Oh, okay, I’ll go right away!”

Lin Qingyan comforted them. “I’m really fine, don’t worry.” He never expected An Nanyi to act like this, like a madman.

Thinking about this, he looked towards An Nanyi.

An Nanyi stood up, supporting himself against the wall. The place where An Jing had kicked him still ached. He lowered his head, feeling wronged, and tears streamed down his face.

Big brother had never hit him before.

“Big Brother, Mom and Dad…”

No one responded. An’s father and mother looked at him with disappointment and anger. The son they had considered the most obedient and well-behaved had repeatedly hurt their biological son.

What would have happened if they had arrived later? They dared not imagine, feeling a wave of fear.

Song Shuman raised her hand and slapped An Nanyi. Her eyes were red, her hand trembling. “An Nanyi, do you know what you’re doing?!”

An Nanyi covered his face, looking at Song Shuman incredulously. “Mom…”

“Don’t call me Mom!”

“Why did you do this? Why did you repeatedly hurt Yan Yan? Did you ever consider our feelings? Did you really treat us as your parents and family?”

An Nanyi shook his head, sobbing. “I was just afraid that if Lin Qingyan came back, you wouldn’t want me anymore. I really didn’t mean to do it…”

“An Nanyi, what do you think we are?” An Jing laughed angrily. “All these years, don’t you know how we treated you? And you, how do you repay our parents’ kindness?”

“If you hadn’t done anything, would we have abandoned you?!”

“Since you’re here today, listen carefully. From now on, you are no longer my brother, An Jing, nor are you part of the An family!”

“Big Brother, I was wrong…” An Nanyi grabbed An Jing’s arm, crying and begging him. He then looked at his parents. “Mom and Dad, I was wrong, I really was wrong. Please don’t kick me out. I have nowhere to go!”

“Go back to the Lin family. That’s your real home.” An Lingkang turned away, unwilling to look at him. “We’ll transfer your household registration as soon as possible. You’ll have nothing to do with the An family anymore.”

Song Shuman: “You… take care of yourself.”
