After Rebirth, I Stole My Ex-Boyfriend’s White Moonlight CHAPTER 25-26

Chapter 25: It Couldn’t Possibly Be the Same Person
“Ge, Ge, what are you thinking about?”
Liu Mingzhou’s soft voice sounded in his ear. Chi Qiulin snapped back to reality, looking at the night reflected in Liu Mingzhou’s eyes. A wave of sadness washed over him, and he instinctively hugged him tighter.
“Ge, you’re spacing out again,” Liu Mingzhou gently stroked Chi Qiulin’s hair, his clear gaze softly observing him.
“Xiaozhou, Xiao Zhou…” Chi Qiulin murmured, clearly incredulous. “Are you Zhou Xuan?”
As soon as he finished speaking, Chi Qiulin felt regret. How could Liu Mingzhou be Zhou Xuan? If Liu Mingzhou’s claim of not being reborn was true, then this Liu Mingzhou, with a completely different face from Zhou Xuan and very much alive, couldn’t be him.
As he pondered this, Liu Mingzhou leaned closer, his voice low and subtly seductive. “I am, Ge.”
Chi Qiulin was so surprised, he stammered, “You…”
“Ge,” Liu Mingzhou lowered his head slightly, placing a soft kiss on Chi Qiulin’s ear. “So, will you let go of your past with Yao Xinyu and like me again?”
Before Chi Qiulin could respond, Liu Mingzhou’s kiss had already fallen on his neck. The tingling sensation spread throughout his body, making Chi Qiulin softly moan.
“Ge, remember, we counted stars under the night sky and made wishes? Do you know what my wish was?”
Without waiting for Chi Qiulin’s reaction, Liu Mingzhou continued, “My wish was for you to be safe, happy, and live a long life.”
A long life? Chi Qiulin twitched his mouth. This wish was incredibly ironic for him, given his premature death. But when he thought about his rebirth, he couldn’t laugh anymore.
Could surviving by transferring to a new body be considered a long life?
Liu Mingzhou’s answer seemed to confirm Chi Qiulin’s thoughts—”Ge, on the anniversary of your death, the night before your birthday, I dreamt of a shooting star. We were sitting side-by-side on the grass, just like we were when we were younger. You said seriously, no matter what wish I made on the shooting star, you hoped it would come true.”
Chi Qiulin was speechless; he had indeed said those words, both in his dream and in reality.
Chi Qiulin suddenly understood. “So you had a premonition that I would come back, and that’s why you kept suspecting Jing Qiu Chi’s true identity?”
“Yes,” Liu Mingzhou gently rubbed his canine teeth against Chi Qiulin’s collarbone, stopping only when Chi Qiulin, unable to bear the teasing, tried to push him away. “I’ve finally found you again. This time, I won’t let you go to anyone else.”
Chi Qiulin knew the “someone else” Liu Mingzhou referred to was Yao Xinyu. But thinking of Yao Xinyu still caused a sharp pain in Chi Qiulin’s heart—he didn’t know if it was because he loved too deeply or was hurt too deeply.
But compared to this agonizing conflict, Chi Qiulin had something more important to ask. After a moment’s thought, he asked directly, “If you are Zhou Xuan, why are you so different?”
Liu Mingzhou looked at Chi Qiulin with an amused expression. “Different? Do you mean personality or appearance?”
“Both…” Chi Qiulin looked at Liu Mingzhou’s bright eyes, then recalled Zhou Xuan’s bandaged eye, pondering for a moment before continuing, “Changes in personality are normal, but I don’t understand the difference in appearance.”
Hearing this, Liu Mingzhou reached out and touched Chi Qiulin’s chest. Just as Chi Qiulin thought he was going to act inappropriately and was about to stop him, Liu Mingzhou pulled a handkerchief from his shirt pocket and covered one of his eyes. “Does this look familiar now?”
Chi Qiulin frowned and honestly replied, “It seems not, and it seems like it does.”
For some reason, Chi Qiulin felt that Liu Mingzhou only possessed Zhou Xuan’s memories, but he wasn’t Zhou Xuan.
With this thought, Chi Qiulin looked up questioningly, meeting Liu Mingzhou’s complex gaze.

Chapter 26: Is the Name Yan Ze Nice?
Despite this, Chi Qulin still had many questions he wanted to ask, but Liu Mingzhou quickly stopped him.
Warm fingertips pressed against Chi Qulin’s soft lips. Liu Mingzhou’s eyes held an unreadable expression, but his tone remained gentle. “Brother, I’ll tell you slowly later. But it’s late now. Let’s get some rest. We have to go to the hospital tomorrow.”
Although somewhat unwilling, Chi Qulin nodded understandingly. He let Liu Mingzhou help him wash up before returning to the bedroom.
Both of them smelled of the same shower gel. Lying face-to-face on the soft bed, Liu Mingzhou buried half his face in Chi Qulin’s neck, greedily inhaling Chi Qulin’s unique scent. He soon fell into a deep sleep.
Listening to the steady breathing beside him, Chi Qulin felt an emptiness in his stomach.
He really missed the old hot pot restaurant in the west city.
Seeing Liu Mingzhou sleeping soundly with a furrowed brow, Chi Qulin didn’t want to wake him. He gently separated their intertwined fingers, loosened the arm wrapped tightly around him, and carefully got out of bed, supporting himself against the bed frame.
After a period of rehabilitation training, Chi Qulin could now walk with support. He cautiously held onto the wall as he went downstairs and then hailed a passing taxi.
The driver patiently helped Chi Qulin into the car. Thinking of the hot pot, Chi Qulin’s mouth watered.
The driver was a young man. Seeing Chi Qulin sitting in the passenger seat looking rather uneasy, he asked directly, “Dude, you’re in this state and still going out. Is something urgent?”
Chi Qulin awkwardly looked at his less-than-mobile legs and secretly complained. These naive young people really loved creating awkward situations.
He raised an eyebrow and nonchalantly replied, “What if I said I just wanted to eat hot pot?”
The driver immediately nodded vigorously. “That’s a huge emergency! To be honest, I really want hot pot too. I haven’t had it in ages, especially the spicy one. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water.”
Hearing “spicy hot pot,” Chi Qulin felt he had found a kindred spirit and readily invited, “Want to have spicy hot pot together? My treat.”
Then he realized something was amiss. Aside from whether this casual invitation was too abrupt, the driver probably made more money in an hour than the cost of several hot pots. Why would he give up making money to accompany a leisurely person like him?
Unexpectedly, the driver readily agreed, “Sure, sure! We absolutely must order the tripe and duck intestines.”
Chi Qulin’s worries instantly vanished. “Yes, yes, those are my favorites too!”
“Hahaha, this is awesome…”
The steaming hot pot emitted an alluring aroma. Chi Qulin watched the young man bury his head in the food and thought he was quite cute.
During their casual conversation, Chi Qulin learned that the young man had once been a driver for Jingbo Company.
The name Jingbo seemed familiar, but Chi Qulin couldn’t remember where he’d seen it.
After much thought, Chi Qulin finally asked, “By the way, what’s your name?”
The young man, who had been diligently eating lettuce, suddenly looked up. After a long gaze at Chi Qulin, he slowly replied, “My name is Yan Ze.”
Chi Qulin sincerely praised, “Yan Ze? That’s a very nice surname.”
Yan Ze calmly replied, “Thank you. Your surname is very nice too.”
After dinner, Yan Ze drove Chi Qulin home. Watching Yan Ze drive away, Chi Qulin realized something—he hadn’t told Yan Ze his name.
Did Yan Ze already know him? Or did Yan Ze already know Jing Qiu Chi?
A sense of unease arose in his heart. Chi Qulin sighed helplessly and, supporting himself on the garden fence, slowly walked towards the villa entrance.
