Chapter 28: You Have to Let Me Have My Fill
But the currently disoriented Liu Mingzhou was unaware of Chi Qulin’s thoughts. Like last time, he fumbled around, attempting to possess the person in front of him for a moment of peace of mind.
Chi Qulin naturally didn’t want to let him have his way, but he still wasn’t strong enough to resist.
Looking at the person clinging to him, Chi Qulin gritted his teeth and asked, “Liu Mingzhou, who do you really like?”
“I like you.”
“Who am I?”
“Chi Qulin.”
This time, Chi Qulin was speechless.
Before he could answer, Liu Mingzhou sealed his lips, their mouths entwined.
Chi Qulin sighed. But rather than worrying about who was truly in Liu Mingzhou’s heart, he had something more important to ask.
Seizing a moment when their lips parted, Chi Qulin seized the opportunity to press, “What was that about Xiao An setting the fire?”
Liu Mingzhou stopped, staring at Chi Qulin, the tears he’d been holding back finally spilling down his cheeks. “Brother, I’m sorry, I’m sorry…”
Chi Qulin felt restless. “Don’t apologize, I’m asking you what happened!”
“Don’t yell at me, brother,” Liu Mingzhou wiped his face indiscriminately, then used his damp fingertips to press against Chi Qulin’s lips. “Brother, I’m sorry, I’m sorry to Yao Xinyu and to you. I’ll protect you, even if I have to die.”
So the fire wasn’t an accident caused by Yao Xinyu after all? Chi Qulin felt a chill run down his spine. He unconsciously relaxed his grip, which had been pushing Liu Mingzhou away.
Liu Mingzhou’s emotions were still unstable. He continued to press, “Brother, if I die, will you forgive me?”
Looking into Liu Mingzhou’s deep, dark eyes that still shone with light, Chi Qulin was stunned.
He involuntarily recalled the heart-wrenching scene of witnessing Zhou Xuan jumping into the river, feeling powerless to help.
No matter what, he didn’t want a similar scene to repeat itself.
So the words instinctively slipped out, “Liu Mingzhou! You’re a grown man, why are you always talking about death? Can you be more mature?”
Liu Mingzhou looked at Chi Qulin with a wronged expression, like a child who had been scolded for doing something wrong.
This expression made Chi Qulin furious, his voice rising sharply, “What are you feeling sorry for? Your life is your own. I hate it when people casually abuse their bodies.”
“I understand, I’ll live well,” Liu Mingzhou put on a docile expression, nuzzling and nibbling on Chi Qulin, yet still confidently saying, “Since I’m so obedient, shouldn’t brother reward me?”
Chi Qulin rolled his eyes. “You’re being obedient for your own sake. If I reward you, you’re the one who benefits. Your calculations are quite shrewd.”
Ignoring Chi Qulin’s complaints, Liu Mingzhou leaned into his ear and softly asked, “Do it, brother?”
Seeing Liu Mingzhou’s sly smile, Chi Qulin finally realized that the person in front of him had returned to normal.
He was furious and threw a punch.
The soft punch was immediately caught, then a soft kiss landed on it.
Liu Mingzhou carried Chi Qulin into the bedroom, saying as they went, “Brother, I know you have a lot of things to ask me, and I’ll tell you everything.”
Feeling himself sinking into the soft bed, Chi Qulin immediately pushed back, “We have to get up early tomorrow to go to the hospital to see my mother, don’t make a fuss.”
Liu Mingzhou feigned ignorance, “Why is this making a fuss? Isn’t this normal for couples?”
Seeing Chi Qulin didn’t respond, Liu Mingzhou pressed his advantage, kissing his neck, and whispering in his ear, “Brother, I only like you. You can ask me anything, but…”
…But before that, you have to let me have my fill.
Liu Mingzhou didn’t say the last part aloud, instead letting Chi Qulin experience it firsthand.

Chapter 29: Unable to Get Out of Bed Again
Sinking into the soft bed, feeling Liu Mingzhou’s weight pressing down, Chi Qulin couldn’t help but sigh again—being reborn as an invalid was truly debilitating.
He warned again, “Liu Mingzhou, now that you’re awake, speak properly!”
“Brother, the fire that disfigured you was indeed set by Xiao An.” Liu Mingzhou kissed his way up Chi Qulin’s collarbone, finally reaching his earlobe.
A tingling sensation spread through his body. Chi Qulin immediately turned his head away, and after regulating his breathing, asked again, “Why did Xiao An do that?”
The amorous advances paused for a moment. After a moment of silence, Liu Mingzhou said casually, “He did it to get revenge on me because he considered you to be the most important person to me.”
Liu Mingzhou’s answer was impeccable. Even though he still felt something was missing, Chi Qulin reluctantly believed him.
But after the important questions were answered, the less important ones began to stir in his heart, scratching at his soul, causing Chi Qulin to ask impatiently and somewhat displeased, “Who was the ‘Xiaochi gege’ you kept calling when you were delirious?”
Hearing the name, Liu Mingzhou paused for a second, then stuck out his tongue to lick his canine tooth, asking instead of answering, “Brother, are you jealous?”
Chi Qulin felt embarrassed. “No, I just…”
Before he could finish, Liu Mingzhou’s soft tongue invaded his mouth, silencing his clumsy denials.
This kiss was unusually gentle, lacking its usual forceful intensity, but it made Chi Qulin’s heart flutter.
Feeling Chi Qulin’s acceptance and response, Liu Mingzhou became even more entangled, until both of them were flushed, their inner turmoil overwhelming their remaining rationality. Only then did Liu Mingzhou reluctantly release Chi Qulin, quickly explaining, “‘Xiaochi gege’ is my biological brother, Liu Mingchi. After my parents divorced, he lived with my father. Later, due to the bullying by Xiao An and his gang, he suffered from depression, and then…”
Liu Mingzhou took a deep breath, trying to calm his turbulent emotions, and continued, “Actually, when my parents divorced, my father chose to raise me. It was I who cried and begged to live with my mother… So I’ve always felt guilty that if I’d stayed with my mother, he wouldn’t have died.”
Seeing Liu Mingzhou’s casual, concise explanation, Chi Qulin felt even more distressed. He felt guilty about his impulsive jealousy, so he instinctively hugged Liu Mingzhou tightly, patting his back and softly comforting him, “Silly Xiaozhou, it’s not your fault, really.”
Liu Mingzhou returned Chi Qulin’s hug. He smelled the hot pot scent on Chi Qulin, suddenly realizing, “So you secretly went out to eat hot pot.”
Chi Qulin rolled his eyes without hesitation. “It wasn’t secret. You were asleep, and I didn’t want to wake you up.”
Liu Mingzhou immediately asked shamelessly, “Were you worried about me?”
Chi Qulin didn’t want to answer such a trivial question. His gaze shifted slightly, landing on the wound on Liu Mingzhou’s arm. He rebuked sternly, “Why did you hurt yourself like this again?”
“I…” Liu Mingzhou lowered his head, muttering aggrievedly, “I dreamed you left me again. When I woke up, you weren’t there, and I couldn’t reach you on the phone… I don’t quite remember what happened after that…”
Chi Qulin thought back. His phone had indeed run out of battery. He scratched his head awkwardly, then thought of something else and continued to ask, “Are you sick?”
Seeing Liu Mingzhou’s posture of accepting a scolding, Chi Qulin realized his words had been ambiguous, so he seriously rephrased his question, “Is your mental state unstable? Do you easily lose control in certain situations?”
“Yes,” Liu Mingzhou answered concisely. “But with you, I won’t lose control.”
Chi Qulin instinctively replied, “I’m not some kind of miracle cure…”
Before he could finish, his lips were covered again. Liu Mingzhou supported the back of his head with one hand, while the other expertly unbuttoned his shirt.
Chi Qulin tried to push Liu Mingzhou away, but he heard him whisper in his ear, “Brother, you are my cure.”
The words were overly sentimental, enough to make any grown man cringe at the cheesy romance.
But Chi Qulin found it endearing. He froze on the bed, unable to process it for a while.
When his brain finally resumed functioning, Liu Mingzhou had already lifted his legs, staring at him intently like a hunter eyeing its prey.
That look, that posture…Chi Qulin realized his recently regained mobility was about to revert—at least tomorrow, he wouldn’t be able to get out of bed.
