After Sharing a Bed with the Dangerous S-Class Sentinel chapter 17

Chapter 17: Is Something on Your Mind?

Mǐ Qiū nodded, a pink flush rising on her slightly chubby cheeks.

She was wearing a light blue shirt with jeans, and the pink bunny-ear hypnosis device was on her head.

But right now, she looked anything but natural.

“Now, just lie down on the bed.”

Shěn Qīnghuái lay down on the bed.

Mǐ Qiū, however, seemed a bit at a loss for how to begin.

The first day she arrived, when she’d gone to his room for the broken water heater, he had at least been wearing a black shirt.

Even though it had been a bit tight-fitting, Mǐ Qiū suddenly found it difficult to take the first step, facing him like this. The scene was already making her mind run wild…

It was just so strange. She shook her head, trying to fling all the weird thoughts out.

There were still droplets of water on his abdomen from his shower. To prevent water from getting into the hypnosis device and causing a problem, Mǐ Qiū had no choice but to take a clean tissue and lightly dab his lower stomach.

With only a thin layer of paper between them, the feeling of his abs was even more distinct. Shěn Qīnghuái’s half-closed eyes watched Mǐ Qiū as she wiped, her focus drifting.

His hand touched her wrist, as if reminding her of the task at hand.

His gaze lingered on her face for a few seconds before he asked in a lazy tone, “Is something on your mind, Guide Mǐ Qiū?”

Mǐ Qiū was still lost in a trance, mesmerized by how good his abs felt, imagining them as a slide she wanted to go down…

She snapped her hand back.

Mǐ Qiū finally proceeded to the next step. Shěn Qīnghuái had already entered a state of sleep. They both closed their eyes, and she first entered his shallow dreamscape.

This time, Mǐ Qiū quickly saw Shěn Qīnghuái’s spiritual body. The golden wolf wasn’t in the grotto; this world looked like a modern city.

Mǐ Qiū stood on a stone pathway. The golden wolf was lying at her feet, its paws occasionally rubbing against her pant leg. It gently nipped the cuff of her silver-gray Guide uniform.

Mǐ Qiū crouched down to observe it carefully and discovered the golden wolf was actually listless and sick, looking completely dispirited.

It wasn’t lively like before.

It seemed it was sick…

Visually, the wolf had no external injuries, but it looked very weak. Its condition couldn’t be left like this.

Just then, not far away, Mǐ Qiū saw a military district veterinary hospital.

Although Mǐ Qiū wanted to pick it up, the golden wolf’s body was just too massive. She was willing, but unable. She could only try to find a way to make it follow her. Mǐ Qiū tried calling its name—she’d just call it Little Wolf.

Mǐ Qiū: “Little Wolf! Little Wolf, come with me.”

The golden wolf was clearly indifferent to her calls. Mǐ Qiū had no choice but to try a different name, calling it Little Huái.

That was it—the “Huái” from Shěn Qīnghuái. The golden wolf finally obeyed her and followed her to the hospital.

A veterinarian in a mask saw it and said to her, “This is an extremely rare golden wolf. This fur color is truly top-grade among wolves.”

Mǐ Qiū just nodded. She couldn’t really stand around and chat; the total time for the hypnosis was limited.

“Doctor, can you see what’s wrong with it? It looks to be in very bad shape.”

The vet performed an initial examination.

After the initial results, they would figure out a course of treatment.

“The results don’t show a major problem. It’s likely sick because of an internal parasite.”

The vet recommended an injection, which would have a quick and positive effect and wouldn’t delay its recovery. Mǐ Qiū finally let out a sigh of relief, her mind at ease.

As the doctor prepared the injection, Mǐ Qiū quietly steadied the golden wolf’s head, not wanting it to be in too much pain.

The golden wolf had been squinting, looking to be in a very, very bad state. After the treatment, its overall condition finally eased slightly.

It looked much better now and had its appetite back. When Mǐ Qiū fed it food and water, it no longer rejected her.

It was very obedient, but Mǐ Qiū still couldn’t possibly hold it. The golden wolf could only rest temporarily in a cage in the hospital room.

Mǐ Qiū stayed by its side. She didn’t know how much time had passed, but she was so sleepy she dozed off. When she opened her eyes again, right in front of her…
