Part 6
After about that much time, the Seven-Dazzle Flower finally bloomed.
Mǐ Qiū followed the online instructions exactly. She took one of its petals, crushed it into a juice, mixed it with the hypnosis potion, and put it in a small iron box.
Next time, she could use it.

This day, Mǐ Qiū had just woken up when her light-brain started ringing with a “life-or-death” call from Officer Hè.
Mǐ Qiū scrambled to grab the light-brain, but she was a step too slow. Officer Hè on the other end asked, “Why didn’t you answer? What were you doing? Don’t tell me you’re still sleeping!”
“No, no.”
Mǐ Qiū had just woken up. It was only 8 AM.
But if it were any later, breakfast would be cold. Mǐ Qiū thought the call was actually well-timed.
Mǐ Qiū asked him, “Officer Hè, is it something urgent?”
“Of course. If it wasn’t urgent, why would I be calling you?”
Mǐ Qiū knew she couldn’t escape this scolding. She carefully asked, “What is the urgent matter?”
“8:30 AM. You heard me, 8:30 AM. You need to be at the Star River Pier to pick up a guest.”
“Pick up a guest?”
“Yes. The guest, he…”
“The guest, he…?”
“Are you mimicking me?”
“Am I mimicking… oh, no.”
Mǐ Qiū suddenly remembered what she wanted to ask him. Her brain hadn’t caught up. “But… isn’t it still not time yet?”

Seeing the boat arrive, Mǐ Qiū realized there was indeed one guest on board.
She waited here for the guest to disembark, preparing to welcome him with her greatest enthusiasm.
The man had long, straight legs. From a distance, Mǐ Qiū felt, exaggeratedly, that his legs were almost as high as her waist.
After the man got off the boat, he gradually approached her.
Mǐ Qiū, looking only at his silhouette, already had a feeling his figure was excellent, and his face was probably very handsome.
The sunlight was perfect, outlining the Sentinel’s silhouette. It was a beautiful picture.
Mǐ Qiū watched him with an appreciative gaze. The man saw Mǐ Qiū, and his lips curved into a faint smile.

As soon as he said this, Mǐ Qiū roughly guessed what was going on.
Mǐ Qiū laughed awkwardly. “How could I not know you?”
Wait, who is he? Who would talk to me in this tone?
Oh, it must be the person who sent me that message last time, right? But what was his name? What was it? Ah, I really can’t remember at all.

Mǐ Qiū was really defeated by herself.

“Why are you all waiting outside?”
Shěn Qīnghuái: “Looking for our lost Guide Mǐ Qiū. We were afraid you’d lost your way.”
Mǐ Qiū: “I’m not lost, and I wouldn’t get lost. I just went to pick someone up.”
“Hello. I’m Sù Zé Chū.”
The three men all extended their hands and shook his firmly.
Only Zhù Shāngchén was relatively friendly to him.
“Why does everyone look so unhappy to see me…”
Zhù Shāngchén: “No, we’re very happy to have you. And, in terms of rank, I still have to call you Commander.”
Shěn Qīnghuái just helped Mǐ Qiū with the case in her hand. Mǐ Qiū told Sù Zé Chū to stay on the third floor.
“The rooms on the second floor are basically full, and one of them has a broken water heater.”

“What’s for dinner?”
“Xiao Měi will make dinner.”
“Xiao Měi? It seems your life here is quite rich.”

As Mǐ Qiū thought about it, she knew her choice had been the right one.
The menu she gave them back then was now her basic daily cuisine. And sometimes when they cooked, it felt like a cooking competition, which meant she got to eat even better food.
“All three of them can cook, huh—”
