After Sharing a Bed with the Dangerous S-Class Sentinel chapter 22.1

Chapter 22: Two in One part 1

Mǐ Qiū understood very well that every word spoken right now was a requirement directed at her.

It was, essentially, a mandatory order.

Mǐ Qiū nodded, indicating that she had completely understood the meaning behind his words.

Sù Zé Chū said, “Alright, it’s getting a bit cold out. Go back inside.”

Mǐ Qiū asked, “Shall we schedule the hypnosis for tomorrow?”

Sù Zé Chū had no objections. Before the hypnosis, Mǐ Qiū still needed to do some research on him.

Before going to sleep, she turned on her small orange lamp. Not only was it lightweight and convenient, but the most important thing was that its yellow-green light was gentle and wouldn’t hurt her eyes. 1

Mǐ Qiū began searching for information about Sù Zé Chū on the StarNet.

Someone of Sù Zé Chū’s rank could usually be found on the official interstellar public network.

Mǐ Qiū tried searching and indeed found his spiritual body attributes. However, looking at him, Sù Zé Chū seemed like a very calm person. Logically speaking, a spiritual riot shouldn’t occur, but all of this would require further analysis based on the subsequent hypnosis.

The next evening, after making a series of adequate preparations, Mǐ Qiū entered his room.

Sù Zé Chū seemed to know she would come at this time; he was already sitting on a stool, quietly waiting for her.

Mǐ Qiū set up the equipment. Sù Zé Chū moved his seat to the bedside and said to Mǐ Qiū, “It seems Guide Mǐ Qiū’s hypnotic techniques are quite professional.”

Sù Zé Chū added, “I almost forgot, you are a famous master hypnotist.”

Hearing his words, Mǐ Qiū simply stated a fact: “However, usually the citizens of the Interstellar Alliance think that my hypnotism doesn’t qualify as something a proper Guide should learn. Furthermore, even with hypnotism, I still lack the soothing power that Guides are supposed to have. I am just a low-level F-class Guide.”

Mǐ Qiū was telling him the complete truth. She didn’t care much about outside voices; she was merely stating facts.

“Perhaps this hypnosis technique is truly useful. But I haven’t really reached the point where I can use it at will.”

Mǐ Qiū’s heart was beating like a drum. This test was particularly important and would almost determine her future.

“But if you trust me, I will definitely do a good job with this soothing session.” After speaking, Mǐ Qiū used the potion prepared with the Seven-Dazzle Flower. 2

After a few days, the petals of the Seven-Dazzle Flower had merged with the potion. It wasn’t rainbow-colored anymore but had blended into a solid pink. The texture was like plasticine—very soft.

Mǐ Qiū applied it to the hypnosis instrument. “It will be a little cold.”

She used the pad of her finger to slowly spread the medicine. The potion was indeed cold; he let out a muffled grunt. Her movements slowed down. Once applied, Mǐ Qiū tried to enter his spiritual body…

However, when she placed her hand on his abdomen, Mǐ Qiū discovered a major problem. Why couldn’t she see any imagery at all? There was only a pitch-black void. She tried entering twice in a row but couldn’t get in.

Mǐ Qiū considered many possibilities, even guessing that it might be caused by his spiritual body being too powerful.

After failing, Mǐ Qiū opened her eyes. Sù Zé Chū opened his as well. “Hasn’t it started yet?”

“It has started. Um, I’m trying hard.”

After Mǐ Qiū spoke, she placed her hand on him once again.

Finally, on Mǐ Qiū’s third attempt, she successfully entered his spiritual sea.

This time, Mǐ Qiū finally discovered where the spiritual body was—a giant octopus was waving its eight tentacles on the beach, using its arms to crawl continuously with small movements.

Mǐ Qiū could see the two rows of fleshy suckers on its tentacles.

But two of its tentacles were currently injured and seemed infected. She had to treat it promptly before releasing it back into the sea.

Mǐ Qiū approached the octopus. Two of its tentacles immediately climbed onto Mǐ Qiū’s waist.

The octopus’s tentacles were ice-cold, having just emerged from the deep sea, carrying a faint fishy smell…

Mǐ Qiū got closer to it and used her usual method, saying, “Little Chū, stay here obediently and don’t move. I need to help you find something to cure your wounds.”

Mǐ Qiū looked around. Indeed, there was nothing here but the beach.

But in this dreamscape scenario, she would definitely be able to find the items she needed.

Sure enough, she saw a medical kit by the reef next to the sea.

It was prepared specifically for saving the octopus.

Mǐ Qiū quickly retrieved the medical kit. Upon opening it, she saw labels on the outside of the medicine bottles, such as “Trauma Ointment” and so on.

Mǐ Qiū took a look; it was labeled “For Marine Life Use Only.”

Mǐ Qiū opened the bottle; it contained a white powder medicine. She wanted to apply it, but the octopus was still waving its tentacles in front of her face, with no intention of stopping.

It kept moving around, perhaps just out of fear of the unknown. Mǐ Qiū was worried that if this continued, its pain would gradually intensify.

Mǐ Qiū used both hands to try and pin down the injured tentacle, striving to stop the octopus from thrashing about.

Although that tentacle was held down, another healthy tentacle scraped against Mǐ Qiū’s cheek, leaving a trail of slippery, sticky mucus.

The wound looked like it was about to fester. Mǐ Qiū needed to use a scalpel to make a small incision in the infected area and squeeze out the pus. Of course, she had to be very, very careful during the process.

Mǐ Qiū sterilized the scalpel with alcohol before daring to start treating the tentacle.

She gently cut open the infected area on one tentacle, and then there was another one…

Well, the octopus went into a rage instantly, its other tentacles burrowing into her clothes.

Although Mǐ Qiū was afraid of the cold, she couldn’t just give up like this.

To soothe the octopus’s agitated mood, Mǐ Qiū could only hug the tentacles that had burrowed into her shirt and continue applying the medicine.

After making the incision and completely clearing out the infection, beads of hot sweat had broken out on Mǐ Qiū’s forehead…

The medicine had a faint minty smell. Perhaps due to this scent, after it was applied, the octopus gradually stopped writhing its body.

Mǐ Qiū took its tentacles out of her clothes and stroked it continuously, giving it more warmth.

But she hadn’t expected such a massive octopus to be covered in wounds.

From the looks of it, every time she entered a Sentinel’s spiritual body, their condition was never good.

Mǐ Qiū successfully released it back into the sea.

The translucent blue seawater should be able to provide the octopus with more healing, right?

.

“Who in the ranks is still losing focus?!”

Mǐ Qiū heard this voice abruptly, her ears trembling twice.

She discovered that at the very front of the formation, a woman with long hair tied up in a high ponytail, looking very dashing, was lecturing the group: “In a moment, everyone will go together to visit the drone mech grounds. Prick up your ears and listen well! Also, I’m telling you, Commander Sù is going to select a capable assistant from among you. So, during the visit, you must maintain silence. No whispering, no loud noises, no wandering around aimlessly without discipline. Are there any questions?”

In this team of Guides, there was only one patch of silver-gray that looked drab, making her whole face look dark by comparison.

Mǐ Qiū stood among them, looking completely out of place.

Drone mechs… “Commander Sù” must refer to Sù Zé Chū.

The woman began to speak again: “Run forward! Have you brought out the physical fitness expected of a Guide?”

This woman—Mǐ Qiū must have seen her on the official website. Oh, she was the First Guide.

A very strict existence. She could almost see through the psychology of all Sentinels at a glance, yet remained completely unaffected by any Sentinel’s spiritual body. Truly powerful!

Moreover, being the First Guide required extremely high talent. Mǐ Qiū knew very well that someone like her definitely wouldn’t make the cut.

The drone mech ground was surrounded by a large iron fence. There were round, triangular, and square drone mechs…

They were currently moving forward in their own designated areas, displaying their “skills.”

Although Mǐ Qiū wasn’t standing very close, she could feel the wind stirred up as the drone mechs passed by.

Mǐ Qiū was observing seriously when two Guides in front of her started talking.

They were B-class Guides, evident from the color of their clothes. 4

“Luckily, I just went to the Drone Mech Museum the day before yesterday. I know most of these mech types.”

“Like this one, the one with the pointed beak, streamlined shape, and black-and-yellow color, that’s the K11 Wasp. The other one, the F22 small square iron one, and…”

Mǐ Qiū didn’t understand any of it.

She could hear them talking, and listening was fine since she wanted to gather information.

“What are you doing? Eavesdropping?”

“I just wanted to hear which drone mech is powerful, just a little curious.”

The two B-class Guides looked at her sideways. “Which one is powerful? Is that something an F-class Guide like you can know? Save your energy. Besides, even if Commander Sù is looking for an assistant, he’ll definitely look for someone like us, at least a B-class Guide or above! Don’t even think about it. Knowing so much won’t be of any use to you.”

That wouldn’t do. She was determined to be this assistant. Otherwise, how could she soothe him? So she had to learn as much as possible. It was a pity she didn’t have her light-brain right now.

Mǐ Qiū still wasn’t very clear about the drone mech models marked in the field, so her heart was drumming a bit.
