Sù Zé Chū brought out a plate of candied sweet potato balls.
This must be the original owner’s favorite food.

Mǐ Qiū casually checked on her light-brain. The potato balls were made from sweet potatoes grown in an interstellar planting base.
Other ingredients in the interstellar world weren’t as plentiful, were rather rare, and expensive, but potatoes and sweet potatoes were different.
Sweet potatoes like these had a long shelf life and were very filling, so most planetary citizens ate them. Hence, there were large-scale sweet potato production bases.
The recipe for candied sweet potato balls was simple. First, steam the sweet potatoes. 30 minutes after the water boils, when the sweet potatoes are completely soft, mash them into balls and fry them in a pan.

“Officer Hè asked me to renovate these two houses. There must be a second batch of guests coming.”
Sù Zé Chū: “Are you looking forward to their arrival that much?”

Mǐ Qiū nodded, but she didn’t stop her assembly work.

So Mǐ Qiū went there alone. She just wanted to make seafood soup at lunch and amaze everyone.
Suddenly, she heard something moving on the beach.
Digging open the small holes one by one—it was simply a treasure trove! The more Mǐ Qiū dug, the more incredible she found it. So deep! Looking inside again, a big crab was walking sideways. Its four legs ran incredibly fast; it was hard for Mǐ Qiū to catch.
Pressing hard on its shell didn’t work either.
Mǐ Qiū aimed at it, wanting to grab it but afraid of getting pinched. After all, it was waving its big claws right now, looking very hard to deal with.
Then, Mǐ Qiū’s attention was interrupted by a sound.
Her ears were buzzing constantly. Mǐ Qiū thought there were mosquitoes, but what mosquitoes would there be in this weather! So strange! And this thing… unfortunately, it didn’t look like a bee, a butterfly, or any flying insect. It seemed to be some kind of smart device with a black, hard shell.
Disturbed by it, Mǐ Qiū couldn’t continue putting things in her bucket.
Anyway, the crab just now had scampered away in a flash, running far away, and she couldn’t catch up.
Although the thing in front of her was small, it flapped its wings quickly and flew towards Mǐ Qiū.
Mǐ Qiū almost sat down on the ground in shock. The bucket tipped over, and two small crabs she had caught ran out.
Someone behind her steadied her in time, preventing her from falling.
It was the Sentinel with sea-blue hair, Ān Yì Mò.
Ān Yì Mò grabbed the small flying thing in front of Mǐ Qiū and crushed it into powder with one hand, scattering it on the sand to be buried by the soil.

Ān Yì Mò said firmly, “This is a probe sent by the enemy.”

“Correct.”
“Who exactly is this enemy you speak of?”
Ān Yì Mò: “Sentinels injected with hormones, but this group of Sentinels comes from elite teams, so they are extremely dangerous. Thankfully, Mǐ Qiū had brought tissues.
But he still took the tissue and helped her wipe her sand-covered hands.
Ān Yì Mò was very careful with the gaps between Mǐ Qiū’s fingers.
Mǐ Qiū felt like he grabbed her hand several times just now.
Ān Yì Mò seemed reluctant to let go, constantly touching her hands lightly.
Mǐ Qiū’s fingers were rubbed by his fingertips. So, once he finished wiping, Mǐ Qiū quickly withdrew her hand.

Hè Chí came over, saw this, and handed her a tissue. “Are you okay?”
Hè Chí wiped Mǐ Qiū’s eyes.
Zhù Shāngchén, who arrived at the same time, just watched blankly from the side, not saying a word.
Mǐ Qiū felt much better now and started cooking.
Finally, after nearly an hour of arduous “battle,” she had the final result in the kitchen.
“Wow, it smells so good!”
It felt great to cook and have such a bountiful harvest.
However, there was one thing. Mǐ Qiū tasted a small sip and found the seafood soup a bit bland. It smelled good, but something seemed missing.
Beside her, Xiao Měi was looking at her with resentment. It hadn’t cooked personally for a long time.
Robot Xiao Měi couldn’t understand why everyone here wanted to steal its job.
Mǐ Qiū felt it still wasn’t quite right, so she adjusted the seasoning.
She added a bit more salt and some other seasonings to taste. This should be about right, Mǐ Qiū thought.
Seafood soup was actually easy to make because its original flavor was already delicious; it didn’t even need excessive seasoning. The original taste was better.
When Mǐ Qiū finished cooking, she found Zhù Shāngchén standing outside the kitchen door at some point. It looked like he was waiting for her. So Mǐ Qiū called him to eat. It was the first time Mǐ Qiū had seen him with such an expression—gloomy, staring straight at her.
Mǐ Qiū didn’t take it seriously at first. Until the evening, when Zhù Shāngchén went to the backyard with her and said something that made her feel completely incredulous.
