Chapter 15: No One But Xiansheng Will Want Him
Su Huaiyao was still dissatisfied that Yu Xiuqing had spoken so harshly to Song Wei for Shen Yuan’s sake. No matter how he thought about it, he felt uneasy.
He looked up at the man, his eyes gradually reddening. He instinctively lowered his head, fidgeting with his fingers and sniffing softly. In a very small, yet deeply aggrieved voice, he said:
“Xiuqing-gege, I know it’s because Shen Yuan looks somewhat like me that you were willing to spend a fortune to bring him back to the Yu family. But now that I’m back, you seem to have changed. You’ve started to care about Shen Yuan…”
Hearing this, Yu Xiuqing immediately leaned down and cupped the youth’s pale, delicate face with both hands. His movements were incredibly tender, as if he were holding a precious treasure.
However, in terms of skin texture, it was not as fine or smooth as that fool’s; instead, it felt somewhat rough.
It had to be said that only Shen Yuan’s face could trigger his impulse to violate, and it felt very satisfying to slap it.
His twisted mind wanted to destroy everything perfect and flawless, yet he was also obsessed with the tactile sensations skin provided.
The fingertips Yu Xiuqing used to caress the boy’s cheek suddenly paused. Seemingly dissatisfied with the texture, he placed his hand on top of the other’s head, coaxing him in a low, performative voice:
“Xiaoyao, what kind of nonsense are you thinking? Am I the type of person to be unfaithful? You’ve truly misunderstood. How could I care about a fool? Moreover, I have no intention of abandoning you. My feelings for you have never changed.”
Su Huaiyao lifted his misty eyes, looking at him half-doubtingly. “Re… really?”
The man nodded and rubbed his fluffy head a few more times. “Of course. I only love you.”
Hearing the definitive answer, a look of triumphant joy flashed across Su Huaiyao’s face. He immediately hugged the man tightly, burying his head in his chest like a wounded animal whimpering. He murmured:
“Xiuqing-gege is so good. I believe you. I knew Xiuqing-gege wouldn’t abandon me…”
Yu Xiuqing smiled, a rare trace of tenderness in his eyes. He raised his hand to pat the boy’s back, soothing him:
“Mm. I won’t.”
Su Huaiyao rubbed against him coquettishly. His dark eyes stole a glance at the youth on the floor, as if triumphantly declaring his sovereignty. He asked softly:
“Then, Xiuqing-gege, we must stay together forever, and then get married, okay?”
The man’s eyes darkened, a flash of unreadable depth passing through them. But the corners of his lips hooked up, his smile deepening. He reached out to pinch the boy’s small face, saying dotingly:
“Okay. Whatever Xiaoyao says.”
Su Huaiyao nodded vigorously, his large, dark eyes blinking sincerely.
Shen Yuan watched the intimate actions of the two by the bed. Seeing Su Huaiyao’s provocative gaze, his heart felt a needle-like sting of pain. Tears wouldn’t stop flowing.
Ma… Marriage?!
Mister Yu agreed to marry Su Huaiyao?!
This news was like a bolt from the blue. A “boom” echoed in Shen Yuan’s head, and his vision went black.
He shook his head in disbelief, then stood up unsteadily from the floor. His pale pink feet stepped on the cold marble floor as if stepping on blades. He approached the heartless man step by step.
Su Huaiyao stared fixedly at the youth’s miserable face. The fierce, vicious look in his eyes made the other flinch.
An inexplicable sense of crisis within him forced him to cling tighter to Yu Xiuqing, fearing he would be snatched away.
“Yu… Yu Xiansheng…”
Shen Yuan tremblingly reached out two small, blood-stained hands, lightly clutching the man’s sleeve. He looked at him with tear-blurred eyes, his voice dry and hoarse, as if it contained blood:
“Ca… can you please not marry Su Xiansheng… You said you would love Yuanyuan… Was… was it all a lie? How could Xiansheng… lie to me…”
He lowered his head and tugged at the man’s sleeve, sobbing until he could barely catch his breath. The tip of his small nose was bright red.
As soon as he finished speaking, however, Yu Xiuqing pushed him forcefully to the floor without hesitation. The man tilted his head slightly, his lips curling into a smile that made one shiver. He spoke slowly:
“You’re becoming even more of a fool. When did I ever say I only loved you? What right does a servant I bought have to receive the love of me, Yu Xiuqing?”
He quickly withdrew his gaze, his expression full of disdain, as if looking even once more would dirty his eyes.
Seeing that this fool wasn’t actually that favored by Yu Xiuqing, Song Wei immediately put on an arrogant front:
“On what grounds can you say Master Yu can’t marry my son? Are you so stupid you can’t even recognize your own status? Oh my, how hilarious. Do you really think eating golden rice for a few days means you can fly onto a branch and become a phoenix?”
Looking at Shen Yuan, who had fallen heavily, Su Huaiyao curled the corners of his mouth contemptuously, looking lazy and relaxed.
He wantonly enjoyed the man’s embrace, feeling the warmth of the large hand stroking the top of his head, a face full of happiness.
Sitting on the floor, Shen Yuan was in too much pain to stand up. His pale legs were curled up, his hands bracing against the floor, his small face twisted into a knot of agony.
He finally understood how painful it was to watch the person he loved most be intimate with someone else.
The thin hospital gown was blown about by the cold wind entering from the door. The little fool shivered involuntarily, feeling cold all over—even his heart had frozen through.
“Shen Yuan, I know Xiuqing-gege is very outstanding. Those who like him could line up from Nangang to abroad.”
As Su Huaiyao spoke, he deliberately looked up at the man, a smile blossoming on his lips. Then he looked at Shen Yuan’s pale, haggard face, a flash of loathing and disgust in his eyes.
But he didn’t make it obvious. Instead, with a piteous and extremely aggrieved expression, he said:
“Shen Yuan, I can understand your feelings. One should strive with all their might for the person they love. There’s nothing wrong with that. But after all, I’m the one who has known Xiuqing-gege since childhood. We will be engaged soon. Perhaps you should find someone who treats you with all their heart; only then will you be happy.”
Shen Yuan shook his head while crying. “No… I don’t want to… besides Xiansheng… no one will want Yuanyuan…”
“That’s right. Besides me, who would want you?”
Yu Xiuqing interrupted coldly. His dark eyes were filled with loathing and extreme paranoia. His voice was bone-chillingly cold: “You are a thing I bought. You want to find someone to seek happiness? Absolutely impossible.”
The little fool shrank back in terror, his small face deathly pale. He bit his lip hard, trying desperately to stop crying, but his tears fell like broken pearls.
At this moment, the man’s face was as dark as water. Shen Yuan saw cruelty and ferocity in his eyes.
And a heart-burning desire…
He was very familiar with this feeling. After staying by Xiansheng’s side for so long, he could more clearly perceive that the emotions in the man’s eyes were releasing a certain signal toward him.
The pain in his lower body came in waves, suffocating him. It seemed to warn him that the man before him was dangerous.
But perhaps because he had been tormented by Yu Xiuqing too many times, his body had become sensitive. Just being stared at by those deep eyes made Shen Yuan feel heat throughout his body…
