After the Marriage Agreement, I Was Entangled by a Gentle CEO chapter 4

Chapter 4: Honeymoon

After meeting the parents, Yu Tingzhou dropped Shen Zhouyue off at his place and didn’t appear again.

Just when Shen Zhouyue began to suspect Yu Tingzhou had forgotten his existence—or even doubted if he had really entered a marriage agreement with him—he received a call.

“Pack your things. We’re going to the US tomorrow.”

Shen Zhouyue was stunned.

He hadn’t received any news before this. Now, being suddenly told they were going abroad, he couldn’t quite react.

“Is there a problem?”

“Mr. Yu, what are we going to the US for?”

Hearing Shen Zhouyue’s question, Yu Tingzhou said impatiently, “Honeymoon.”

“Honeymoon?”

Shen Zhouyue didn’t process it for a moment.

Hearing Shen Zhouyue’s confusion, Yu Tingzhou explained patiently, “Didn’t I say in front of my mom that we were going on a honeymoon?”

“She called today to ask about it. I happen to have a discussion regarding a partnership with a company in the US in a few days, so I’m taking you along.”

“I’ll pick you up at eight tomorrow. Be on time.”

Before Shen Zhouyue could react, the phone hung up.

He rubbed the center of his brows and began to pack his meager luggage.

At eight the next morning, Shen Zhouyue waited in the living room until he heard the sound of a car engine outside.

Guessing Yu Tingzhou had arrived, he carried his luggage out.

Yu Tingzhou took the suitcase from Shen Zhouyue’s hand and nodded with satisfaction. “Very punctual. Keep it up.”

“Assistant Zhou, to the airport.”

Once on the plane, Shen Zhouyue felt a bout of tinnitus. He closed his eyes, frowning slightly.

Suddenly, he felt a weight settle on him.

Opening his eyes, he found Yu Tingzhou had covered him with a blanket.

The air conditioning on the plane was a bit cold, and the blanket provided Shen Zhouyue with much-needed warmth.

He whispered, “Thank you…”

“No need. I’m just worried you’ll catch a cold and have no one to play the part later.”

After speaking, he pulled a blanket over himself, closed his eyes, and rested. He had a tough battle to fight when they reached the US, so he needed to conserve his energy.

Seeing that Yu Tingzhou didn’t want to talk, Shen Zhouyue silently buried his head deeper into the blanket.

After more than ten hours, the plane landed at the central airport in the US.

Shen Zhouyue felt someone pinching his cheek. It didn’t hurt, but it was very disturbing to his sweet dream.

He pouted and muttered dissatisfiedly, “An’an… stop making noise…”

Unexpectedly, the hand harassing him didn’t stop but used more force, causing Shen Zhouyue faint pain.

Shen Zhouyue opened his eyes. His gaze still held the misty haze of deep sleep, looking foggy and pitiful.

He blinked hard, trying to drive the sleepiness from his eyes.

“We’re in the US.”

Looking at the face in front of him, which looked like a scaled-up version of An’an, Shen Zhouyue mumbled in his daze, “An’an… how did you grow so big…”

Hearing the name “An’an” from Shen Zhouyue’s mouth again, Yu Tingzhou frowned, feeling displeased.

He pinched Shen Zhouyue’s chin and questioned coldly, “Who are you mistaking me for?”

The slight pain on his chin and the questioning tone of the person in front of him successfully woke Shen Zhouyue up.

Remembering what he had just done and the name he had unconsciously called out, a trace of awkwardness and nervousness appeared on Shen Zhouyue’s face.

He swallowed. Just as he was about to say something, he heard the arrival announcement. He hurriedly changed the subject, “We’ve reached the destination. Are… are we not getting off the plane?”

As he spoke, he gave Yu Tingzhou a smile meant to curry favor.

“Your attempt to change the subject is truly clumsy.”

Although he said that, Yu Tingzhou didn’t pursue the previous question and let go of his hand.

Shen Zhouyue’s skin was very fair and easily bruised.

Even though Yu Tingzhou hadn’t used much strength, he left red marks on his chin. On that white skin, it was particularly obvious, looking as if he had been bullied.

Shen Zhouyue rubbed his chin and followed behind Yu Tingzhou, occasionally stealing glances at him to gauge his mood.

Although Yu Tingzhou didn’t pursue the matter on the plane, he was clearly somewhat unhappy.

With his back to Shen Zhouyue, he walked quickly toward the airport exit.

To keep up, Shen Zhouyue had to jog a little.

Just as they were about to leave the airport, a figure suddenly rushed toward them.

Shen Zhouyue hurriedly dodged, but without realizing it, his path behind was blocked. Surrounded by people, he felt hemmed in with nowhere to go.

Before he could react, the suitcase in his hand was snatched away.

“Hey… my luggage…”

Yu Tingzhou, who had remained silent and was watching the commotion through the airport’s glass reflection, stopped, turned around, and ran toward Shen Zhouyue.

His legs were long; within a few steps, he was in front of Shen Zhouyue, grabbing his hand.

“Let go of me, my things were stolen.”

All his documents were in there. If they were lost, he would be stuck here, unable to move a single step.

More importantly, the doll An’an gave him was inside.

If it was lost and An’an found out, he would definitely be heartbroken.

The more he thought about it, the more anxious he became. Shen Zhouyue’s eyes even turned red.

He looked at Yu Tingzhou, full of grievance and anxiety.

Seeing Shen Zhouyue like this, Yu Tingzhou comforted him helplessly, “I will handle this matter. Your suitcase will be returned.”

“Let’s go to the hotel first, okay?”

Shen Zhouyue didn’t quite believe Yu Tingzhou’s words, but right now, he had no one else to turn to.

He tugged at the corner of Yu Tingzhou’s clothes, eyes red, and emphasized to Yu Tingzhou, “You must help me find my suitcase. There is something very important to me inside.”

Hearing Shen Zhouyue’s words, the name An’an surfaced in Yu Tingzhou’s mind.

Could it be that there was a gift from An’an in there?

Ignoring the subtle unhappiness in his heart, Yu Tingzhou nodded. After a moment of hesitation, he pulled Shen Zhouyue into his arms and comforted him gently, “Your suitcase will appear intact.”

Shen Zhouyue’s nose was filled with the scent of cedarwood, giving him an inexplicable sense of security.

With red eyes, he looked at Yu Tingzhou and whispered, “Thank you…”
