Chapter 6: So Much I Want to Bite
The person who had been as lively as a jumping fish immediately became well-behaved.
He felt that Chi Yuheng was truly capable of kissing him in public.
Chi Yuheng strode into the villa with his long legs. Ye Ran didn’t dare look anywhere else; since his hands weren’t free to cover his face and he was covered by Chi Yuheng’s suit jacket, he could only stare at Chi Yuheng’s jawline.
This was his first time looking from such an angle. Chi Yuheng’s jawline was sharp and clean, and the curve of his Adam’s apple was clearly illuminated by the lights, looking like a piece of candy soaked in warm water, making one uncontrollably want to touch it.
He remembered that day he drank too much; he had pinned Chi Yuheng onto the bed, staring at his Adam’s apple, and spoke drunkenly. “Your Adam’s apple is so sexy. Can I have a bite? I really want to bite it…”
He didn’t remember anything after that.
So, did he actually manage to bite it that day or not?!
Two seconds after this thought appeared, Ye Ran shook his head violently.
What was he thinking!
How could he be interested in a man’s Adam’s apple? He was straight!
When the butler and servants saw Chi Yuheng return with Ye Ran, they all breathed a sigh of relief.
The little ancestor was finally back; they could finally get a good night’s sleep.
Only after the tension of so many days suddenly relaxed did someone notice that Ye Ran was actually carried back in Chi Yuheng’s arms.
Previously, Chi Yuheng and Ye Ran lived in the Chi family’s old residence. Only the butler, Uncle Lin, and Xin Yu had followed them back from the old residence; the other servants had arrived after they moved into the new house.
A few of them, seeing this scene, began to secretly cover their mouths and laugh.
Young Master Ye usually caused trouble everywhere, his temper exploding at the slightest touch, so it was rare to see him so well-behaved, obediently being carried by the Eldest Young Master.
Uncle Lin saw their “never-seen-the-world” appearance and waved his hand at them. “Stop looking, stop looking. Hurry to the kitchen and make something to eat. Go, quickly.”
While Uncle Lin sent the servants to cook, his eyes drifted toward Chi Yuheng from time to time.
He hadn’t seen such a scene before either. He took the opportunity to look a few more times. The way Young Master Ye was huddled in the Eldest Young Master’s arms was like a little puppy—too cute.
Ye Ran’s face was overheating.
The pair of hands covered by Chi Yuheng’s jacket tightly gripped his shirt as he muttered in a low voice, “Can’t you walk faster!”
If they didn’t leave soon, he’d become a monkey in a zoo!
Chi Yuheng’s lips curved slightly as he walked quickly upstairs.
In the bedroom, Ye Ran was tossed onto the bed. Having gained temporary freedom, he immediately shook off the jacket, revealing his hands which were tied by a necktie.
“I’m back now. Can you untie me?”
Chi Yuheng actually did untie him. Ye Ran quickly moved his wrists, his eyes fixed on the man opposite him, his desire to punch him itching for action.
Taking advantage of a moment when the other wasn’t paying attention, he threw a punch. “I’ll teach you to tie me up! Take this!”
Ye Ran’s punch was stylish, but the way it was caught in the next second was also very clean.
Ye Ran: “…”
That was awkward.
Chi Yuheng didn’t waste any more words with him. He took out a specially prepared silver bracelet and snapped it onto Ye Ran’s wrist.
Ye Ran was stunned.
Fuck! What is this!
Before he could react, the silver bracelet had already shackled his hand to the headboard, making a clatter-clatter sound.
Chi Yuheng had handcuffed him to the headboard!
“You… Let me go… Chi Yuheng!”
Chi Yuheng leaned over, a smile playing on his lips as he pinched Ye Ran’s chin, saying gloomily, “Still planning to run?”
Ye Ran gritted his teeth. “Yes, of course I’ll run. I’ll definitely run far away, away from a pervert like you!”
“Then it’s a pity.” Chi Yuheng let go and sat by the bed. “There’s a high probability you won’t be leaving this room.”
Ye Ran’s eyes widened instantly.
What was going on? Was he playing the “small dark room” forced love trope with him?
The plot had turned this crazy!
He swore to the light on the ceiling that what he said in the bar about liking forced love was truly just a joke; he didn’t actually like it!
Ye Ran struggled hard, but his hand remained firmly handcuffed to the headboard, to no avail.
“Chi Yuheng, you bastard!”
Chi Yuheng smiled. “Save your energy for cursing later.”
Just then, there was a knock on the door. Chi Yuheng went to open it; it was Xin Yu delivering food and some fruit.
Chi Yuheng said something to Xin Yu. Ye Ran only heard Xin Yu say “Yes” twice, followed by the sound of the door closing. Within seconds, Chi Yuheng appeared before him again.
“Eat first,” Chi Yuheng said.
Ye Ran glared at him. “Do you want to see how I’m supposed to eat like this!”
Chi Yuheng glanced over. “It’s not an obstacle.”
He found a pillow to prop up the headboard and helped Ye Ran sit up.
Ye Ran was annoyed and reminded him, “And my hands!”
Chi Yuheng’s lips curved. “No need for hands. I’ll feed you.”
Whether it was the tacit understanding from living together for many years or Ye Ran’s knowledge of Chi Yuheng, before he even said those words, Ye Ran had already guessed he would say that.
The reality was exactly as he thought.
At this moment, someone was fuming, the flesh on both sides of his face puffed up like a pufferfish in protest. “I don’t want to.”
Protest invalid.
Chi Yuheng moved the food near Ye Ran’s nose and circled it. “Then you can only stay hungry. It smells so good; Aunt Wang’s skills have improved again.”
Ye Ran said he didn’t want Chi Yuheng to feed him, but he didn’t say he wouldn’t eat.
Besides, he hadn’t eaten at the bar tonight, and after all the mental and physical tossing, he was about to starve to death.
At this time, eating became the first priority.
A wise man submits to circumstances; eat first, talk later.
Ye Ran’s gaze remained stubborn. “Feed me properly. If you dare get anything on my bed, you’re dead!”
Chi Yuheng picked up a spoon. “At your command.”
Ten minutes passed, and Ye Ran was finally full. Chi Yuheng brought over the after-meal fruit.
A large, round grape was held in Chi Yuheng’s hand. After peeling off the skin to reveal the plump, translucent flesh inside, he leaned forward slightly, cradling the bottom of the grape, and whispered, “Open your mouth.”
Watching Chi Yuheng’s movements, Ye Ran felt that they were being way too ambiguous—not counting that time he took the initiative.
He turned his head away. “Not eating.”
He started acting up again.
Chi Yuheng’s wrist paused, then the grape on his fingertips wobbled, looking as if it were about to fall. Ye Ran instinctively leaned over and ate the fruit.
The sweet, juicy flesh burst on his tongue. He heard the man’s low chuckle. “Weren’t you ‘not eating’?”
Fuck! This guy was clearly doing it on purpose!
Chewing the fruit, Ye Ran tilted his head slightly. “I was just afraid you’d drop it and stain my bedsheets.”
Chi Yuheng didn’t tease him further and picked up another grape, patiently peeling the thin skin.
Ye Ran watched his movements and snorted in his heart. Still planning to use the same trick to trap him? No way.
Sure enough, Chi Yuheng once again placed the grape near Ye Ran’s mouth. This time, Ye Ran refused to open his mouth for anything.
Chi Yuheng looked at him, a playful smirk curling his lips as he spoke unhurriedly. “Since this mouth doesn’t want to eat, should we switch to another mouth?”
Translator’s Note: Phew, things are getting intense! The “silver bracelet” is a classic C-drama/novel euphemism for handcuffs. Poor Ye Ran is learning the hard way that you shouldn’t joke about “forced love” tropes around a doting yet possessive “Daddy-type” Gong. Also, I hope you like grapes!
