Chapter 25: Don’t Forget You Are Male
The singing was close at hand. Feng Shi even had the illusion that the breath exhaled by the other party was blowing by his ear.
The window had a crack he left before sleeping.
Feng Shi held his breath, carefully poking his head out to look outside the window.
Orange and weak lamplight reflected on his face.
Through the crack in the window, Feng Shi saw that huge black shadow he saw last night.
The opponent carried a dilapidated large bamboo lantern in hand. The firelight in the lantern flickered with the night wind. Hunching its body, it was stretching forward to look into the room.
Feng Shi couldn’t see the other party’s face clearly. That mass of black was too dense, making it impossible to distinguish facial features.
The monster hummed a song, lingering in front of Feng Shi’s window. Seemingly because it couldn’t find Feng Shi in the room, the opponent gradually became a bit irritable. The song in its mouth turned into rapid breathing sounds, asking sentence by sentence: “Where is the person? Where is the person?”
Feng Shi originally wanted to wait for this monster to fail finding him and leave, then seize the opportunity to follow, but unexpectedly this monster had some petty cleverness.
A blood-red large eye like a lantern stared at Feng Shi hiding in the dark through the window.
“Found… found you…” The monster emitted a jie jie laughter, then reached in a long, thin hand.
Feng Shi dodged, rushed to the bed, and collected the dying small black snake on the ground into the account. Time stood still inside there; it was the best way to save it right now.
Just after doing this, that black hand grabbed Feng Shi.
If you don’t enter the tiger’s den, you can’t get the tiger’s cub. Feng Shi didn’t struggle.
It wasn’t until he was taken out the window that Feng Shi truly saw this monster clearly at close range.
Human-shaped, but born with a fish tail, carrying a bamboo lamp, two eyes like torches, wearing a huge black cloak, body emitting a strong salty and fishy smell.
Feng Shi felt he was held very tightly, but it didn’t hurt.
“Found… found… go home… go home…”
The monster muttered these two phrases, then carried Feng Shi swiftly through the streets and alleys, arriving in the deep forest with a few leaps.
Strange ballads were hummed from its mouth again. This time carrying a bit of lightness, accompanied by the whistling wind in his ears, transmitting into Feng Shi’s ears.
A moment later, Feng Shi was taken to a hidden cave, but it wasn’t the same one where the corpse was found this morning.
The monster brought him to the cave, then put him down carefully. That huge lantern carried in its hand was placed beside Feng Shi, illuminating the darkness, conveying wisps of warmth in the cool black night.
After doing all this, the monster rushed out of the cave and disappeared.
Feng Shi was puzzled.
He waited for a while without running, but that monster never returned. Helpless, Feng Shi had to get up and go to the cave entrance.
Unexpectedly, this cave entrance had a barrier. The instant Feng Shi’s finger touched the barrier, a strange red magic array suddenly opened in the cave.
Blood-red light filled the entire cave, reflecting on Feng Shi’s tender red clothes, making them redder.
A powerful suction force suddenly sucked Feng Shi over, forcibly placing him in the exact center of the magic array.
The veil hat on his head fell to the ground during the rough movement, revealing Feng Shi’s face.
Just as Feng Shi urged his spiritual energy preparing to resist, the rapidly rotating array patterns of the magic array suddenly stopped, then gradually faded into the rocks.
Feng Shi: ???
Discrimination, is this?
【Host Lord, although cross-dressing is good, don’t forget you are actually male~】
Feng Shi gritted his teeth: “Of course I won’t!”
Was there any woman whose voice was like his?
But that meant this magic array only recognized women. Swapping for him, a fake one, wouldn’t work.
Feng Shi tried going to the cave entrance again, then repeated the process just now.
Tried a few times, until the sound of footsteps came from the cave entrance.
Feng Shi dodged sideways and saw the ones coming to the cave entrance were exactly the group of cultivators from before. At this moment, every one of them had anger on their faces, cursing in low voices.
Feng Shi understood in his heart. Returning inside the cave, he sat with his back to the entrance, squeezing out two teardrops with effort.
Xu Liu and his group arrived in front of the cave. From a distance, they saw a red-clothed woman with a graceful figure and tall stature sitting on the ground. At this moment, she was covering her face with her sleeve, sobbing quietly.
Having seen many women whose faces were hideous from fear, seeing such a standard and frail one suddenly, they were a bit unaccustomed for a moment.
But now wasn’t the time for them to cherish jade and pity fragrance. The task handed down from above had to be done. If the mishap tonight wasn’t resolved, the ones squatting here crying would be them.
Thinking of this, Xu Liu steadied his mind, undid the barrier at the cave entrance, came to the woman with her back to them, kicked her lower back, and said roughly: “Hey, turn around!”
Feng Shi laughed secretly in his heart, but on the surface, he sobbed even louder, displaying the demeanor of being suddenly frightened vividly, then slowly turned his head.
Xu Liu originally had a bit of compassion, thinking this one tonight wouldn’t do; at worst, go catch another one and release this current one.
Who would have expected that as soon as the other party turned his head, it almost scared his soul away.
“F*ck! Why is it you!” Seeing it was Feng Shi, Xu Liu and the others all changed their expressions, retreating a step and drawing their swords.
Feng Shi dabbed at the almost nonexistent tears at the corners of his eyes pitifully with his sleeve: “I… I don’t know either… that monster was so scary… grabbed people here in the middle of the night…”
Hearing this, Xu Liu and the others all had vegetable-colored faces. Their gazes swept over Feng Shi’s clothes, and their faces turned two shades darker.
In Feng Shi’s words, it was nausea more severe than eating ten catties of cilantro.
Seemed they were straight men, no mistake.
“Then why the f*ck are you dressed like this!”
Feng Shi lowered his eyebrows and ying ying‘ed twice: “People just have this hobby. Usually just wear it for myself to see. Who knew today… actually discovered by brothers…”
After saying this, Feng Shi felt he heard a wave of retching sounds.
Xu Liu thought: No wonder the magic array today couldn’t activate for so long. Turns out what was caught was actually a pervert with a handle!
taking advantage of their distraction, Feng Shi pursued the victory and asked: “Then can I leave now?”
Xu Liu recovered his wits, looking at Feng Shi with an indescribable expression, then kicked Feng Shi’s shoulder: “As long as you come here, no one can leave.”
Feng Shi had a bitter face: “Then what to do?”
Xu Liu drew his sword and swung over: “Just accept death peacefully.”
Feng Shi hooked the corner of his lips, dodging his sword easily sideways, smiling: “Don’t, brother.”
The veins on Xu Liu’s forehead throbbed. His hand speed became faster. However, no matter how fast he was, the other party could dodge easily. Obviously, his strength wasn’t low.
Xu Liu was greatly shocked: “You?!”
Feng Shi simply stopped acting too. Reaching out to pull the dangling hair ornaments from his head, he took his sword from the account, drew it, and went to meet them.
“Brothers, how about we see who is going to die here tonight?”
Feng Shi smiled like a villain. Holding one person by the neck, with a wipe of the sword blade, blood splattered three feet.
