Becoming the Abused Omega and Conquering the Hidden Alpha Chapter 1

Chapter 1

A City Central Hotel.

Shu Ci sprinted down the stairs. As he ran, he unclasped his expensive camellia necklace and tossed it to the ground.

His phone buzzed incessantly, the sound making his scalp tingle. Fearing it was that Alpha CEO pervert who liked to lock people in dark rooms, he didn’t even look at it, immediately hanging up.

From the moment he woke up on the luxurious yet ambiguously sensual round bed in the hotel, he knew: he’d transmigrated into a book!!!

He’d transmigrated into the 5000-chapter-long Where Can the Tempting Sweet Omega Escape!

That four-year-running, three-chapter-a-day, morally questionable, sleep-inducing dog-blood epic!

“Your grandpa’s publishing company shouldn’t have let him read the original novel first,” he muttered.

Shu Ci reached the landing, using the handrail for support as he turned, using his hands and feet to run down the stairs, cursing his benefactors the whole way.

He, Shu Ci, multiple international best director award winner, on his first day back from vacation, was approached by a funder with more money than sense, asking if he could remake this dog-blood epic.

Being a dedicated professional, he stayed up all night to read the original, cursing from beginning to end.

Even before bed, he was still complaining to his go-to screenwriter: “The first two thousand words are spent describing the layout and decor of some Alpha CEO’s luxurious hotel room. Does this author think he’s Victor Hugo?”

…And then, he woke up in that very bed.

[The exquisitely beautiful and soft Omega wakes up in a daze, unaware that he’s about to become a breeding tool for the overbearing Alpha CEO, used to perpetuate his superior genes.]

Yes, that’s right. If he’d woken up even a little later…

He would have been making babies on that lavish, opulent round bed with some brain-dead idiot.

When he’d received the email, he’d suspected he’d offended the funder somehow, that they’d deliberately chosen a book with a protagonist sharing his name to annoy him. After transmigrating, he realized how small his perspective had been.

Making a bad movie was nothing compared to this.

Almost being forced to have children for someone else – that was truly disgusting.

Forcing me to face an R-rated scene right after I transmigrate, is this fair to the thousands of words of feedback I wrote last night?

Shu Ci didn’t have time to ponder why he’d fallen into this situation; he just wanted to escape.

He ran, anger bubbling within him, the air thick with the scent of jasmine.

The alluring fragrance silently spread through the stairwell he ran through.

But Shu Ci was oblivious; he only felt his legs were about to break from running down the stairs. He wiped his sweat, spat, cursed the legal-dodging male lead Alpha in the original novel, and ducked into an empty janitor’s closet.

As soon as he entered, the walkie-talkie hanging on the cleaning cart flashed red.

Shu Ci stumbled, frowning as he hid by the door, his eyes fixed on the walkie-talkie.

After a “beep,” a stern voice came from inside:

“Lock down the hotel! Anyone who finds the Omega with the jasmine scent, report immediately, or CEO Gu won’t spare anyone!”

Jasmine?

Shu Ci sniffed. It seemed to be coming from him… the original “Sweet Omega’s” pheromones!

This strong floral scent, how could he hide?

Shu Ci’s face changed; he quickly looked around, changed into a janitor uniform left in the closet, pushed the cleaning cart into the staff elevator, and quietly descended.

No time to recall the plot, escape was paramount!

The hotel’s top-floor alarm wailed; every emergency exit flashed red. Black-clad bodyguards stormed into the security room; the person dozing off in the chair immediately jumped awake, listening to the bodyguard captain’s instructions to check the surveillance footage.

“Found him?” a cold voice asked through the walkie-talkie.

The icy voice, transmitted through the earpiece, sent a shiver down the Alpha bodyguard captain’s spine.

His gaze quickly scanned the surveillance footage, soon locking onto a figure stumbling and clinging to the stairs in the center of a grayscale image.

The back was clumsy, yet like a white plum braving a snowstorm.

Captivating.

He paused, choosing his words: “Madam triggered the fire alarm and left, going down the stairs.”

Apparently, the word “Madam,” with its implication of authority, pleased his boss.

He heard a faint chuckle on the other end.

Then, a sharper tone: “So you’re saying he ran down 70 floors? Did an Omega get physically exhausted first, or have you bunch of useless Alphas lost your minds?”

The bodyguard took a deep breath and dared to ask: “CEO Gu, haven’t you gone up to check yet?”

Silence on the other end.

He continued: “Madam’s pheromones kept leaking uncontrollably, and…uh…when leaving, she was agitated, so the concentration was even…”

The Omega was supposedly found by Gu Corporation for the young master, a 100% pheromone match; a truly rare find. Naturally, someone matched with the most superior Alpha would be a top-tier Omega.

Most Alphas didn’t want to admit they’d lose to an Omega.

But they had to admit, a top-tier Omega’s pheromones were a deadly weapon.

They almost caught him. However, the high concentration of jasmine pheromones in the room had nearly incapacitated the bodyguard team.

Only he had slightly stronger willpower; when his mind was clouded by the intense, intoxicating pheromones, he immediately instructed the hotel to activate floor shielding, halt indoor and outdoor air circulation, dispatch a cleaning team of Betas to eliminate the scent, and disable several elevators already contaminated with pheromones.

The others…were a mess.

“The Alphas guarding the entire floor are now out of control,” his voice weakened as he switched the monitor to the floor where the Omega had been.

His men were lying on the ground, flushed and breathless. Normally so tough, who would have thought they’d be crying and begging to be comforted by their wives?

The jasmine scent in the air had made them weak-kneed.

…No one had the fighting strength to chase Shu Ci!

“That’s expected,” a faint smile touched the Alpha’s cruel eyes, “An Omega with a 100% match to me, Gu Lanzhu, naturally needs to be equally outstanding.”

The bodyguard captain didn’t know what to say, silently interpreting his boss’s tone.

It seemed…rather pleased?

He soon realized his judgment was too naive.

Gu Lanzhu’s smile faded, his gaze turning sinister: “Want to die? What are you still doing? Even if he escapes to the ends of the earth, bring him back to me!”

The bodyguard captain trembled: “Yes!”

And he scrambled out.

“Damn it, damn it, damn it—”

Shu Ci slipped out just before the hotel’s automatic doors closed.

The doors almost pinched a lock of his hair!

He’d already lost hair over this book; did he have to lose more after transmigrating?!

Shu Ci, maintaining his anger and clarity, trembled as he leaned against a wall, adjusting his rumpled collar and walking forward, trying to recall the few plot points he still remembered.

Gu Lanzhu—the male lead of the original novel, the apex Alpha, the crown prince of a business empire—chose a top-tier Sweet Omega with a 100% pheromone match, Shu Ci, hoping he’d bear the strongest heir for the Gu family.

The original novel begins with Shu Ci waking up on the luxurious round bed, before he even realized what was happening, the overbearing Alpha bursts in and temporarily marks him, then drives off in a car, the whole process taking thousands of words.

After their encounter, the original Shu Ci, finding Gu Lanzhu gone, immediately escaped.

Then begins the dog-blood plot of “He runs, he chases, they can’t escape.”

Shu Ci was relieved that he was clever enough to preserve his chastity, avoiding becoming an unlucky guy who lost his virginity right after transmigrating. However, he soon realized that he seemed to have prematurely triggered the “He runs, he chases” plot.

The Central Hotel was Gu Lanzhu’s territory. The square in front of the hotel was wide and flat, but it was the middle of the night, with almost no one around.

This meant no one to save him.

Of course, an Omega constantly leaking pheromones wouldn’t dare to ask for help easily.

He ran along a small road away from the hotel, but his legs grew weaker, a burning fire in his heart.

His eyes were slightly hazy; a red phone booth at a distant intersection caught his eye.

The enclosed, confined space could provide a moment of security.

In a daze, Shu Ci slipped inside, locked the door, slowly crouched, and curled up.

From the outside, he looked like a vulnerable little animal.

But no one knew that he was silently cursing the author of this book, likely his entire ancestral lineage.

After venting, he leaned against the glass wall, calming down, exhaling a breath.

How did he get here? He just slept and ended up here?

He suspected his transmigration was due to his bad temper, dying of anger after reading the book and writing feedback late at night.

He didn’t know who to blame for his current predicament.

Blame the fact that he shares the same name as the male lead? Or blame the fact that he resolutely refused the investor yesterday in his feedback?

Shu Ci, a director by profession, found himself truly in the plot for the first time, transforming from the creator of the characters into a “character itself.” He felt somewhat absurd, somewhat complex.

Also, there was the… stirring madness unique to an artist.

Regardless, the top priority was to escape Gu Lanzhu’s grasp.

As long as there was a trace of his pheromones, the original Alpha would eventually find him.

Shu Ci frowned; he remembered that the top-tier Alpha and Omega in the book could control their pheromone release with ease.

But when he tried, he found he couldn’t.

A car suddenly braked, the screeching noise loud.

The person in the car rolled down the window and looked around, failing to find anyone before shouting: “Which Alpha is drugging an Omega outside? Call the police! Watch out for violating public order regulations!”

Shu Ci: “…”

Could it be that Gu Lanzhu’s servants had given him aphrodisiacs while he was unconscious, causing his pheromones to constantly leak?!

In the original novel, they just drove off, without mentioning this at all!

He banged his head against the phone booth glass.

Maybe it’s a dream? Or maybe I can die and go back?

After banging twice, Shu Ci suddenly spotted a black SUV parked nearby.

His eyesight was excellent; he recognized the gold license plate under the night lights.

Shu Ci paused.

He remembered that in the book, the license plate color symbolized the Alpha’s status.

In the Gu family, Gu Lanzhu’s uncle, being a parliamentarian, had a red and black license plate; other government departments used a unified blue and black plate; ordinary people had brown and black plates.

Gold license plates were rarely mentioned in the book, supposedly only for special vehicles.

In a later crucial plot point, the original Shu Ci, in danger, unconsciously sought help from Gu Lanzhu; Gu Lanzhu, thousands of miles away, contacted a friend with a gold license plate for rescue.

The book was vague; those with gold license plates were called “golden shields” by the public, reliable and respectable.

Remembering this, Shu Ci’s eyes lit up.

He couldn’t sit idly by; currently, he didn’t even know where his own home was; he could only ask for help.

The gold license plate was the safest option for him, a helpless Omega.

He took a deep breath, pushed himself up, overcoming the dizziness and burning sensation in his chest, opened the phone booth door, and hurried towards the vehicle with the gold license plate.

If the car drove off, he’d miss his chance.

Shu Ci stumbled towards it, seeing a man leaning against the car door in the streetlight’s glow.

The man was looking down, his face obscured.

“Ex-excuse me. I…”

The drugs were making him uncomfortable; he couldn’t breathe, and his tongue was tied.

He carefully took a step forward but tripped, falling forward.

Damn it, what kind of stupid, naive falling-down-flat trope is this!

Back then, I ran like crazy in the snow and ice in winter and never fell once!

The anger at being confined by the character just began to rise.

The next second, Shu Ci fell into a solid embrace.

Not warm, precisely icy.

The dampness of the night dew instantly extinguished the fire in his heart, making Shu Ci freeze for a moment.

He caught a glimpse of the man’s pale ears, apparently having stood there for a long time in the cold night.

The man’s hands weren’t on him, loosely outstretched, supporting his waist with his forearms.

Shu Ci sniffed; he didn’t smell any pheromones on the man, nor did he feel any danger or aggression.

Could it be a Beta?

He immediately felt relieved.

The moment the tension relaxed, he collapsed. With the last of his willpower, he whispered, “Save…save me.”

The man seemed to sigh something in his ear.

But Shu Ci didn’t hear clearly before he passed out.

The bed was warm from the sun, a faint scent of milk permeating the air.

Shu Ci fluttered his eyelids, basking in the sunlight for a while, then suddenly opened his eyes!

Where was he?

Shu Ci sat up with a jolt, looking at the classic and elegant furnishings in the room, scratching his head.

This didn’t look like the minimalist style described in the original novel.

Could the owner of the gold license plate car last night have brought him home?

Shu Ci anxiously lifted the covers, examining himself, then touched the gland at the back of his neck, the movement so natural that he felt he’d adapted to the Omega identity overnight.

“Awake?” A sweet voice came, “What are you doing?”

Shu Ci, clutching the covers, slowly lowered his hands, his eyes scanning the person standing by his bed.

Brown corduroy overalls with a shirt, light golden curls, a faint coconut scent reached his nose. From his outfit, he recognized him: Shu Ci’s best friend in the original novel – Shen Ti, a coconut-scented Omega.

Shen Ti was a young master from a wealthy family who chose an arranged marriage for the sake of his family and now lived in his spouse’s mansion.

It seems this is Shen Ti’s married home.

“Checking if I’ve been deflowered,” Shu Ci said, scratching his head in a daze.

In the 5000-chapter novel, to escape Gu Lanzhu’s forced capture and the relentless pursuit, he repeatedly escaped, receiving countless messages from Shen Ti. However, because he was afraid that if his friend helped him, Gu Lanzhu would retaliate, he remained silent, never revealing the truth to his good friend.

The author used every possible means to torment him, even adding countless villains to frequently sabotage his relationship with Shen Ti.

Although Shen Ti doesn’t appear frequently in the book and remains outside the dog-blood story of the sweet Omega and the overbearing Alpha, he is currently the person Shu Ci trusts most.

Under Shen Ti’s inquisitive gaze, he briefly explained to Shen Ti about Gu Lanzhu choosing him as a breeding tool and his near-death escape from the Central Hotel.

After speaking, he continued: “I passed out before I could ask that person for help; did that Beta bring me here?”

A hand suddenly rested on his forehead.

“Did you faint from a fever or amnesia?” Shen Ti frowned, “Or did you fight with your husband?”

“What the hell? Husband?”

Shu Ci racked his brain.

Oh! Right!

He almost forgot that in this dog-blood epic, Gu Lanzhu’s optimal Omega breeding partner—himself—was married!

He was forcibly taken by the legal-dodging Gu Lanzhu!

His unlucky husband, in the original novel, not only had no name—early on called “Shu Ci’s Husband,” later called “Shu Ci’s Ex-Husband”—was cuckolded, and would be brought out by the author for a cameo every so often.

He seemed like a tool, every time he aroused Gu Lanzhu’s jealousy, allowing Gu Lanzhu to have another encounter with Shu Ci.

He remembered that in order to make Gu Lanzhu the first Alpha in Shu Ci’s life, the author arranged for him and his tool-man husband a 1% pheromone match, with never any marking or intimacy.

Married, but not deflowered, it’s ridiculous!

Amazing, this author is truly amazing!

“What about my husband?” He looked at Shen Ti blankly.

Shen Ti’s expression was complex as he flicked his forehead: “I don’t know whether you’re really stupid or pretending, but the one who sent you to me last night was your husband!”

Author’s Note:

【Top Alpha Mini-Class】

Being able to control pheromones freely = being treated as a Beta by a wife with a 1% compatibility match (not)

I’m here! The outline for The Top-Secret Partner is progressing slowly, so I’m starting this one first for a quick fix! After finishing this, I’ll write The Top-Secret Partner (no more delays!)
