Becoming the Abused Omega and Conquering the Hidden Alpha chapter 24 PART 1

Chapter 24 part 1
“Let’s get this straight, the fuel definitely won’t last for a very long trip.” Yi Xing Shui helped Shu Ci onto the small speedboat. Watching him expertly put on his life vest and sit in the driver’s seat, she asked, “You actually know how to drive this?”
“Yes.” Shu Ci lowered his eyes, glancing at the eager engine.
He’d gotten his speedboat license while filming a cross-border collaboration, accompanying a director whose family was loaded.
Seeing his confident demeanor, Yi Xing Shui couldn’t help but admire him. Truly worthy of being the person my senior brother fell for.
Quickly, though, worry clouded her face again: “I know what you’re trying to do. But you know, the reason I could bring you here is that Gu Lanzhu doesn’t care what you do. Even if you go out to sea, Zhao Qian will be following you the whole time.”
She hadn’t cared before who Gu Lanzhu took a liking to; it wasn’t her business.
Now, however, discovering that Gu Lanzhu had fallen for her senior brother’s wife was something Yi Xing Shui found intolerable.
Her senior brother, a person who’d rather dissect mice in the lab than attend a dinner party – the ultimate social phobe – finding a wife wasn’t easy!
She did want to help Shu Ci escape, but on Jiaoyuan Island, how could he escape Gu Lanzhu’s grasp?
Shu Ci looked sideways, somewhat surprised, yet also as if it was expected: “Let’s try.”
Compared to waiting in the room for Gu Lanzhu to come, he had to do something.
The speedboat sped into the middle of the sea; the rain seemed to have subsided somewhat.
Shu Ci frowned, then quickly relaxed.
He did hate the rain that made him look disheveled, but now, each drop of cool water on his face made him feel – he was still alive.
It was an unprecedented exhilaration.
Seeing the omega’s suddenly bright and charming eyes, Yi Xing Shui was stunned.
His red hair made his skin look extraordinarily fair. The rainwater flowed slowly over him, like adding several seductive scars. His red lips moved slightly, captivating the eyes.
Yi Xing Shui blinked and, impulsively, asked, “How did you meet Senior Brother Lu?”
She had never seen such a beautiful omega at school.
Shu Ci vaguely felt this topic was strange: “…Family introduction.”
Yi Xing Shui couldn’t help but open her mouth slightly: “A blind date?”
If it was truly a blind date that led to marriage, would there have been 5000 chapters of abuse in the original novel?
Shu Ci steered the boat through a wave and perfunctorily replied, “Something like that.”
The original protagonist might not have liked Gu Lanzhu initially, but he had never liked Lu Wanqing, only feeling guilty and apologetic. Only this kind of amicable parting would allow Lu Wanqing to remain outside the plot.
“Can I ask what you like about my senior brother?” Yi Xing Shui’s eyebrows curved. “My senior brother is a bit of a social phobe; we all think anyone who’s with him must be very bored, with nothing to say.”
Shu Ci felt his heart was as chaotic as the rain.
The person Shu Cui said fought at the construction site was Lu Wanqing. The one who ruthlessly climbed to the rank of twelve-star general was also Lu Wanqing. The socially anxious medical student was also Lu Wanqing… Was this a case of multiple personality disorder or was life just a drama?
He met Yi Xing Shui’s curious gaze, paused, and said, “He’s handsome.”
He was stunningly handsome.
In all his years of acting, he had never seen a face he liked so much.
Unbeknownst to Shu Ci, his expression was somewhat hazy when he said this, and his beautiful eyes had an even more captivating charm.
Yi Xing Shui felt she couldn’t look any longer. She looked away, lowered her head, opened the panel, and helped monitor his location and fuel consumption.
“Wait, which way are you going?” she exclaimed in surprise. “Going in this direction will take you into Longji Island’s territory. You can’t go there. I’ll remind you to turn back when we’re near.”
Longji Island? Shu Ci was stunned.
Was it the deserted island the original protagonist saw from the helicopter?
“Why not?” He increased his speed and headed towards Longji Island.
“Oh my god, Sister-in-law, you’re amazing.” With this acceleration, Yi Xing Shui felt her brains were going to be shaken out. “Because that island prohibits all vessels from entering; it has automatic defenses…”
As she was explaining, she suddenly fell silent.
She stared intently at the distant horizon.
Shu Ci also saw the sight ahead.
On the distant sea, about five meters high, a black, wave-like object was surging. They floated on the surface of the sea, their tails submerged in the water, like a row of shark dorsal fins, swimming towards them!
“What is that?” Yi Xing Shui’s voice trembled slightly.
She was just a doctor who occasionally went to sea for relaxation; she wasn’t an adventurer.
“…Are you sure you want to ask me?”
Something you people who grew up here haven’t even seen? How would I know what it is!
Shu Ci cursed inwardly and, without hesitation, changed direction and steered towards the other side.
In X squadron, Yu Xingxing directed his team to launch underwater interception devices. After waiting for a moment, they hit their target.
He breathed a sigh of relief, then his expression changed.
The unknown creatures seemed to have dispersed into extremely small molecules, flowing out of the interception material like liquid, regrouping on the outside.
“Report, General Lu.” He turned on the microphone, “Within five seconds of the hit, the unknown creatures changed their form and broke free, splitting into two groups and moving towards Jiaoyuan Island.”
If it wasn’t for the need to capture them alive for research, he would have just launched guided torpedoes and blown them away.
“Don’t be impulsive.” Lu Wanqing’s calm voice came through the channel.
“Understood.” Yu Xingxing scratched his naturally silver hair. “Boss, before you left, you told us that the unknown creatures only attack Betas and Omegas. Do you think it’s because there are only Alphas on Longji Island, and they can’t find any targets to attack, so they’re going to where there are Betas and Omegas?”
“Cui You and I will each lead a team to pursue one group.” Lu Wanqing’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Get ready to intercept and kill directly.”
The unknown creatures were getting closer and closer to Jiaoyuan Island’s waters. If there were really Betas and Omegas there, they would be the first to be attacked. At that time, their primary goal would no longer be to capture them alive, but to avoid casualties without alarming the Gu family.
“Yes!”
After Yu Xingxing responded, he began to calculate the deployment with his teammates in the cabin. Lu Wanqing and Cui You led their teams, splitting up to chase the unknown creatures. The three parties were on the same communication channel to ensure timely information communication.
“Report!”
After driving forward for a while, Yu Xingxing suddenly spoke: “A speedboat from the Jiaoyuan Island direction is heading towards my area. Visually… two people.”
“Speedboat? Fishermen or tourists?” Cui You checked on his side. “Confirmed, not in my range.”
Yu Xingxing: “The speedboat has changed direction and is heading towards General Lu’s area.”
Yu Xingxing: “It hasn’t entered the maximum distance for facial recognition; their identities are not yet confirmed. We don’t know if they are residents.”
Yu Xingxing: “At their speed, they’re about to enter Longji Island’s range. If they don’t slow down, they’ll be killed directly by the defensive system at the border. Should we warn them?”
But if they were not ordinary residents but Gu’s vessel, a warning would mean exposing their whereabouts.
“It’s entered my range.” Lu Wanqing said in a deep voice, his brow furrowed.
He had been hearing someone call his name today, and his ominous premonition was growing stronger. It was Gu Lanzhu’s island; how could he possibly keep unimportant fishermen on the island? Even if it was for construction, the people chosen for the island would undoubtedly be strong Alphas.
But the unknown creatures only attacked Betas and Omegas…
“Wait a little longer.”
“What the hell is this! Why are they chasing us?” Yi Xing Shui’s face was pale. Looking at those dark, high-speed wriggling creatures, goosebumps covered her skin.
Soon she heard the sound of an engine behind them, like a savior: “Zhao Qian’s boat is here. Turn around and go back. Back on the island, I’ll protect you. That’s better than being chased by strange things here.”
Shu Ci’s hands froze. Could this be the end?
“And you can’t go any further.” Yi Xing Shui pointed ahead. “Going further into Longji Island’s area is a death sentence.”
As soon as she finished speaking, another wave of black creatures surged in front of them.
Ahead was the other island’s defense system, behind was Zhao Qian, and on both sides were those strange creatures watching them menacingly. Shu Ci’s face gradually cooled, and the speedboat slowed down.
