Becoming the Abused Omega and Conquering the Hidden Alpha chapter 24 PART 2

PART 2

Zhao Qian’s boat followed, ordering rescue personnel to bring the two of them back.

The black wave came closer and closer, and Shu Ci finally saw their appearance clearly. They were composed of countless types of creatures, tightly piled together, rising and falling with the waves, like a composite body breathing.

After the speedboat stopped, they also stopped nearby, their eye-like things staring at Shu Ci, looking restless yet somewhat apprehensive.

They were at a stalemate ten meters apart.

Yi Xing Shui saw the rescue personnel approaching and, before they reacted, immediately got on the boat: “Shu Ci, grab me and jump.”

She was pulled onto the boat, and as she turned around to reach out, the group of creatures suddenly leaped from the water, pouncing on Shu Ci.

The rescue personnel pulled Yi Xing Shui back.

“Damn it, ambush, huh.” Shu Ci reacted extremely quickly; the moment they pounced, he increased his speed.

“No! Turn back!” Yi Xing Shui clung to the side of the boat, screaming.

But Shu Ci had already rushed into the waters belonging to Longji Island.

The heavy rain poured down on him. As Shu Ci crossed the boundary of the waters, he closed his eyes.

If he died here, could he go home? After being instantly killed by the defense system, he wouldn’t have to face these disgusting creatures; great!

A thunderclap sounded from above, and Shu Ci looked up at the sky, at the few rays of light that fell through the torn clouds.

There was no expected death, nor the killing Yi Xing Shui had mentioned. He had safely and smoothly passed through the border of the waters.

The camellia on his neck unintentionally glowed.

“How is this possible?” Yi Xing Shui’s incredible voice came from afar. She had witnessed with Gu Lanzhu people being injured by the defense system, and they hadn’t fully recovered even after two months of treatment.

In X squadron—

“Target has entered range. Facial recognition initiated.”

“Target is being pursued by unknown creatures; there is a danger to their life.”

“Target has entered General Lu’s area of responsibility.”

Lu Wanqing looked at their observation screen as if sensing something. He saw the familiar wine-red hair fluttering on the surface of the sea, like a small flag.

“This person’s hair color is so trendy. Are the unknown creatures reacting strongly to bright colors?” Yu Xingxing grabbed a handful of his silver hair. “Should we intercept, General Lu?”

After a while, the voice of General Lu’s deputy came from the other side: “General Lu charged forward in his invisible personal vessel. Command authority is transferred to me. We’ll make our own judgments.”

Yu Xingxing: “???”

Shu Ci didn’t dare to slow down, afraid of being caught up by these unknown creatures. They followed him wherever he went, and by the time he realized it, he had been surrounded.

He had read posts about encounters with sharks at sea; now, he felt he could answer the question, “What is it like to be surrounded by a circle of sharks?”

These stitch-monstrous things, sometimes sticking their eyes out of the water, sometimes showing their sharp teeth, and sometimes raising their claws, were much scarier than sharks, okay!

Shu Ci calmed down for a moment and released a little pheromone.

Immediately, he found that the creatures surrounding him froze for a moment, then jumped wildly out of the sea. Shu Ci rushed out through the gaps they had created, and the black creatures began to jump on the surface of the sea, restlessly chasing after him.

Was it because of the pheromones that attracted them?

Shu Ci firmly controlled the direction of the speedboat, then held his breath and concentrated, slowly controlling his pheromones.

His third successful mimicry.

It was also his third pheromone arrow; the formation speed was getting faster, and it didn’t seem as difficult as before.

Shu Ci’s heart beat fast. He steadied himself, drifted on the sea, then forcefully threw his pheromone arrow into the distance.

The black creatures erupted at this moment!

They all jumped out of the sea, chasing after the direction the arrow flew.

Their collective leap gave Shu Ci a chance to breathe; he was ready to turn around and leave.

But the next second, he suddenly felt a familiar fluctuation.

Looking back, he saw that the flying creatures were bound by something, suspended in mid-air.

“Whoosh—”

Ripples spread outwards on the surface of the sea. A submarine, one with the same color as the seawater, slowly surfaced, the top opening, and a person slowly walked out.

Shu Ci’s speedboat slowed down. He turned sideways, staring blankly at the person who suddenly appeared on the sea.

Not long ago, he had said that was a face he liked very much.

On the boundless sea, the rain fell from the clouds. Through his wet hair, he saw Lu Wanqing, in his uniform, exceptionally clean and refreshing. His golden epaulets shone faintly.

His golden shield came across the waves.

Tears welled up in Shu Ci’s eyes. He finally realized what that familiar feeling was a moment ago.

The thing that bound those restless creatures was Lu Wanqing’s pheromones.

He saw Lu Wanqing’s arm move from afar.

A glass-like container rose from the sea.

Although the two of them couldn’t see each other clearly, he understood Lu Wanqing’s meaning at this moment.

He was saying, shoot another arrow here.

Shu Ci’s eyes lit up.

Lu Wanqing knew he had succeeded in his mimicry; he had seen it!

At this moment, he felt like a student having his homework checked by the teacher. He mustered his strength and began his fourth mimicry of the day.

Although he was already physically exhausted, to be honest, this was probably his most successful and powerful arrow.

Lu Wanqing was nearby. He was no longer nervous. He relaxed against the speedboat, releasing all the pheromones he could mobilize without reservation.

The momentum of shooting an arrow through the sky couldn’t have been greater than this.

He vaguely saw the pheromones breaking through the air, forming a physical shape.

But he couldn’t see it clearly; he was already exhausted.

His last sight was that sharp pheromone falling into the huge container Lu Wanqing had placed in the sea. The black creatures followed the pheromones and plunged into it, all captured.

He let out a long sigh and passed out peacefully.

The moment he closed his eyes, he landed in a warm embrace.

In the cockpit, everyone was silent.

They had watched the whole process of Lu Wanqing charging to the front alone, capturing all the mutated creatures alive, and bringing an omega back.

Yu Xingxing coughed, “Facial recognition is still matching with the database. Should we lock him up first?”

Lu Wanqing stopped, turning on the communication device.

“This is my husband. Where do you intend to lock him up?”

The man’s voice was sharp, without anger, but his presence was overwhelming.

Cui You looked at the communication interface and twitched the corner of his mouth.

Brother, you’re not using our three teams’ private channel; this is the public channel!!!

Except for Cui You, the Alphas on the entire channel erupted in a commotion.

They did know that General Lu was married, but they never knew who his spouse was.

Everyone within the range of the ship’s observation had clearly seen the pheromone mimicry just now. Even ordinary Alphas couldn’t achieve this!

Just who exactly was General Lu’s spouse?!

Alpha pheromones surged from all directions.

The person in his arms frowned, a faint blush appearing on his face.

Lu Wanqing raised his pheromone barrier, separating Shu Ci from the outside world, tightening his arms, and directly taking him into his control room.

Warning: Driving a boat by yourself is dangerous; it’s best to have an instructor. Safety first! (I heard that there was a fatal accident involving a collision of jet skis in Xunyao Bay these days, so be sure to pay attention to safety!)

【Some rambling thoughts】After asking yesterday, I considered it again and decided not to change the title. I’ll also share some of my thoughts.

Actually, I like both names very much. The current title, just like all my previous works, contains some small clues; it’s some metaphors I like very much.

Initially, I also considered 《After Transmigrating, I Punished the Legal Professional Male Lead》, but this is too unfair to Lu Wanqing. I don’t want him to appear in the title while planning the outline and calculating when to send Gu Lanzhu to jail. Ci’er and Old Lu must have names.

And 《Rebellious Mark》, the initially determined title, is a core summary of the emotional line, and also Shu Ci’s mentality from his perspective. It originates from my desire to write a story about whether a 1% match rate can truly lead to love and how they can be together.

I may be naturally unable to write the market- and reader-preferred types of stories (bitter smile). I’m used to being scolded for being not sweet, depressed, and uncomfortable. I know that the 100% match + arranged marriage trope is very popular, but sometimes I have too many random thoughts and get conflicted.

When the matching rate is overwhelming, is it a process of love born from desire under the control of physiological will?

If there is no natural foundation of love and desire, can Alphas and Omegas still fall in love?

I want to find my own answer, so I had the idea for this story in my mind.

I don’t know if I can find a satisfactory answer for myself, but I want to thank the darlings who will accompany me and follow my updates. Your subscriptions, comments, and support are my motivation~
