Becoming the Abused Omega and Conquering the Hidden Alpha CHAPTER 6 PART 1

Chapter 6 PART 1

“Hurry up and get the silver tableware that Mr. Shu left behind.”

“Is it for the guest who just arrived?”

The Shu family kitchen was bustling with activity. Following the butler’s instructions, they prepared for the guest with the highest level of hospitality, bracing themselves for the encounter.

Unbeknownst to them, the master of the house stood before the guest in the living room like a child who had done wrong.

The guest, leaning against the sofa, tapped his foot on the floor rhythmically, emitting a series of unsettling sounds.

“Three days are up, Mr. Shu.”

Gu Lan Zhu glanced at the teacup that had been brought over and pushed it away indifferently. “Where’s the person I want?”

“He… he hasn’t come back yet.” Shu Changhai wiped the sweat from his forehead, turning his head and whispering, “Hurry up and call the young lady and the young master.”

Shu Cui was still napping. He felt a moment of displeasure when he was awakened by his sister’s knock, but his alpha sister’s imposing presence reached his throat. Even if he had resentment, he could only roll his eyes, fasten the buttons of his short-sleeved silk pajamas, and trudge downstairs.

“What’s the hurry…” He yawned, and the moment he saw the handsome figure in the living room, his open mouth snapped shut. “Did Dad choose a marriage partner for me?”

“I don’t know, but don’t daydream.” Shu Can frowned.

Her alpha intuition told her that the person in the distance was also not someone to be trifled with.

Upon reaching the living room and seeing the man’s face—

Sure enough, it was the eldest son of the Gu family, the current A-class prodigy who dominated the business world, whose ruthless methods were no less than his father’s, the dream A for countless Omegas.

She glanced at Shu Cui. Sure enough, her younger brother’s eyes were wide.

He looked lovestruck.

“Mr. Gu,” he shyly lowered his eyes. Seeing his pajamas, he almost fainted, grabbing her arm. “Why didn’t you say so earlier? I’ll go upstairs to change!”

“I don’t have that much time to wait for you.” Gu Lan Zhu, with excellent hearing, raised his red eyes. “Since Mr. Shu said that you two are responsible for finding the person, where is he?”

Shu Cui’s face changed.

He whispered, “Is… is it that… that Shu Ci you’re looking for?”

Why?! Why could people only see Shu Ci since childhood?

He was clearly the Shu family’s precious Omega!

He clearly wanted to shame Shu Ci! Why would even someone like Mr. Gu care so much about him? He could get any partner he wanted, why was he so concerned about someone whose biological father was unknown?!

Shu Can sensed her brother’s emotional fluctuations and pulled him behind her.

Because she saw a flash of gloom in Mr. Gu’s eyes.

“What, you’re willing to let him participate but not willing to let me choose him?” Gu Lan Zhu took in everyone’s expressions and sneered. “If it weren’t for your usefulness…”

A dangerous atmosphere arose.

Shu Can suddenly realized she was trapped in place and unable to move.

“Mr. Gu!”

Shu Changhai pressed Shu Cui’s back, kneeling before Gu Lan Zhu, his hand tightly gripping his son’s neck. “Where is he?!”

Shu Cui trembled in fright.

He said in terror, “His school dorm and the apartment he rented outside are empty. The property management company just contacted us about his wedding apartment today, and… and no one’s there either…”

At the mention of the wedding apartment, Gu Lan Zhu’s expression changed slightly.

“He’s married?” he asked in a low voice.

Shu Cui’s eyes lit up.

Yes, Shu Ci was already a married Omega, so he couldn’t compete with him!

“Yes, at the end of last month,” he quickly said.

“Heh, no wonder.” Gu Lan Zhu narrowed his eyes. “It’s even more challenging.”

If Shu Ci were present, he would know this was exactly the same plot as the original book. Gu Lan Zhu, who had everything since childhood, had no moral sense. He wouldn’t think it was troublesome or unethical to provoke a married Omega, only that it would be challenging to handle.

“It was a waste of time after all.” Gu Lan Zhu glanced indifferently at the Shu family kneeling on the ground and sighed.

Unaware that his indifferent tone made the Shu family tremble.

If he had known his family ties were so weak, he wouldn’t have relied on Shu Changhai. He could have found the person himself within those three days using his connections.

Just as Gu Lan Zhu and his assistant were about to leave, the assistant looked down at his phone, his expression turning serious, and handed it to him.

He took it and glanced at it, pausing his steps.

“His whereabouts… has the source of the information been verified?”

“Yes, Mr. Gu, the source is reliable.”

“Let’s go.”

A hint of light and a smile appeared on Gu Lan Zhu’s stern face. His fingertips caressed the necklace in his pocket, as if he had already seen the owner of the camellia necklace.

The Shu family watched in a daze as Mr. Gu’s anger turned to joy. He walked quickly to the door, paused, then turned back and sank back into the sofa.

“Go pick him up,” he instructed his assistant. “I don’t want to travel by car in the rain; I’ll wait for you here.”

Shu Changhai’s eyes went dark.

It’s over, this big Buddha won’t be leaving anytime soon.

Unsure how long the air currents causing the rain at the airport would last, Shu Ci sat in the passenger seat, watching the winding streams of water on the glass, slowly closing his eyes.

He hated rainy days, and he hated the feeling of rainwater sticking to his body after it fell. Every time it rained, he felt like he couldn’t breathe.

He hated real rain, and he hated fake rain too.

After filming rain scenes, he would always leave the crew and find a corner to calm down.

However, he remembered that the original owner loved everything related to water and wasn’t afraid of rain. He even cured Gu Lan Zhu on a rainy day.

He couldn’t completely play the role of the original owner.

But it didn’t really matter.

The bodyguard assigned by Shen Ti was observing the road conditions in the rain and paying attention to his condition. He soon noticed his pale face and asked, “Sir, are you carsick? There’s Mr. Shen’s medicine in the drawer here.”

“Thank you, I’m fine.” He answered with his eyes closed, his tone melancholic, “Does A City have this much rain every year at this time?”

If so, he would move to another city as soon as he got rid of Gu Lan Zhu.

“The rainfall this summer has indeed been more than in previous years.” The bodyguard replied, “It might get better after the beginning of the dog days.”

They were trained from a young age to be professional bodyguards; they only answered questions and followed orders and wouldn’t have extra thoughts about their employers’ actions. So they didn’t think that someone who grew up in A City would ask such a question.

Shu Ci frowned the whole way, and when they arrived at the Citizen Service Center of the municipal government, the sky had cleared!

The clouds had dispersed, and the setting sun in the west dyed the sky red and orange.

It was a good omen!

Shu Ci shook off his depression and walked into the hall refreshed, took his number, went to the specified floor, and waited in line. The bodyguard waited in an inconspicuous corner as instructed.

He sat patiently waiting for his number to be called, curiously looking around at the various alphas, betas, and omegas in the waiting hall.

Observing people had always been Shu Ci’s habit. When he wasn’t filming, he liked to go to shopping malls, supermarkets, and crowded places to observe different people, guess their professions, and imitate the actions and expressions of people with different personalities and professions.

His professional habits were somewhat useful.

He used to observe in order to better shape his characters, to help actors get into character; now, it was to better survive here.

On his third day in this world, he was already able to roughly distinguish the three types of people by eye.

Those with thin and short builds, and small and elegant steps were mostly Omegas, those with majestic bearing, fierce faces, and strong muscles were mostly Alphas, nine out of ten.

Of course, there were exceptions.

The extremely beautiful young man who had just gone to the window to submit his documents, everyone thought he was an Omega. The staff at the window exclaimed and confirmed several times before confirming that he was indeed an Alpha, a pure Alpha.

Shu Ci’s lips curled slightly, with a faint sneer.

It seemed that judging people by their appearance was unreliable in any world. In any world, there were always some preconceived notions ingrained in the subconscious.

For example, people generally believed that betas were more ordinary in appearance and had a lower sense of presence than alphas and omegas. But here, everywhere were betas in work uniforms; who dared to underestimate these civil servants?

“Please—number 0217—go to window D to handle your business.”
