Becoming the Abused Omega and Conquering the Hidden Alpha CHAPTER 7 PART 1

Chapter 7 PART 1

Shu Ci rested in the car for a while. When he opened his eyes, it was already dusk.

The bodyguard’s car was stopped at the pedestrian crossing, waiting for the red light.

As the lights came on, he lifted his eyelids and observed the various pedestrians on the road.

At the nearest bus stop, a group of workers were jointly opening the sign-type light boxes on the platform, removing the old advertisements and replacing them with new ones.

Soon, the endorsement images featuring celebrities’ faces were brand new.

The new generation replaced the old, no different from his original world.

However… his gaze fell on the old poster the workers had folded up.

The advertiser’s text was obscured, and the poster was rolled up, leaving only the advertiser’s jawline and neck. For some reason, he found it a little familiar.

Shu Ci vaguely felt he should know the answer, but he couldn’t remember.

The red light turned green, and the bodyguard stepped on the gas pedal.

Shu Ci withdrew his gaze, paused for a moment, and said, “Let’s go to my house first.”

Based on his memories of reading the book and Shen Ti’s confirmation, the original owner had some conflicts with his roommates during college and moved out of the school dormitory to a small apartment outside. After getting married, he moved in with his new spouse.

“Jiuqing Road?”

“Yes.”

He had to hurry back and find the original owner’s phone.

The déjà vu feeling in front of the billboard made him feel a sense of crisis.

As an Omega, he was already at a disadvantage, and his self-preservation methods were pitifully few. If he showed others that he knew nothing about this world, it would be very dangerous.

Therefore, he could only confess his amnesia to a very small number of people.

Nowadays, electronic devices contained so much information that they could be considered valuable inheritances. To smoothly integrate into this world, he had to quickly go through the original owner’s contacts, photo albums, and social media.

Ideally, it would allow him to translate those textual memories into concrete knowledge of this world.

Thinking of this, Shu Ci became irritated.

Damn it! Why didn’t other people who transmigrated have a system or cheat codes, or directly inherit the original owner’s memories?

Just because his profession was a director didn’t mean he should be self-reliant and not even given a complete script? If he had that kind of memory, he wouldn’t have suffered so much when selecting actors, recognizing those actors who had undergone so much plastic surgery that they looked almost identical.

The more Shu Ci thought about it, the angrier he became.

The bodyguard was changing lanes when he suddenly saw the person next to him stomp his foot.

In the rearview mirror was an irritated face.

Thinking Shu Ci thought he was driving too slowly, he subconsciously stepped on the gas pedal.

The sudden acceleration caused Shu Ci to hit the back of his head, and he reflexively muttered a curse under his breath.

The bodyguard’s hands gripping the steering wheel were covered in a thin layer of sweat.

“….” Was it too fast or too slow?

In his impression, Omegas were considerate, especially married ones. They lacked the power to speak up and rarely used bad tempers to express their dissatisfaction.

This kind of unpredictable irritability was usually only seen in Alphas.

In the rearview mirror, the furrowed brow revealed no answers.

The bodyguard concluded in his heart: Mr. Shen is still nicer.

However, he soon didn’t have time to think about these things.

The sudden acceleration and deceleration seemed to have inadvertently allowed him to discover the lurking shadows around him. A car followed them like a ghost, unknowingly closing the distance.

His face suddenly fell. “Mr. Shu, someone is following us.”

Shu Ci was still complaining in his heart about not having cheat codes after transmigrating. Hearing this, he sat up straight, tilted his head to look at the rearview mirror: “Where? Oh, I see it, it’s that black—”

Wait, what brands of cars are there in this world?

The ultimate detail-oriented Shu Ci struggled a little in his mind, swallowed his words, stared intently at the car that was slowly following behind, and his brain spun rapidly.

At this time, except for Gu Lan Zhu, he couldn’t think of anyone else who would follow him.

It seems that whether he lost his innocence at the Central Hotel or not, once his chase and escape plot began, it was temporarily unavoidable in the short term.

But why was it stalking and not a direct threat to his door like in the original book?

Shouldn’t Gu Lan Zhu, after knowing he was the son of the Shu family, have come to his door to wait for him, and by the way, slap the Shu family in the face?

According to Gu Lan Zhu’s domineering personality, he would often appear in front of the original owner the moment he received the information, relentlessly pressing him until he had nowhere to escape.

Even when he later locked the pregnant original owner in a small dark room and waited for him to beg for mercy under surveillance, Gu Lan Zhu couldn’t sit still and wait patiently. As long as the original owner showed the slightest sign of vulnerability, he would open the microphone and hurl harsh words across the air.

Choosing to stalk didn’t seem like the style of the A-class top-tier Alpha that was certified in the book, Shu Ci frowned in thought.

Then there was only one possibility—

Testing.

In other words, Gu Lan Zhu was not as omnipotent as he was in the book right now, and he hadn’t fully grasped his whereabouts yet.

“Pretend you haven’t noticed him and continue driving to Jiuqing Road,” Shu Ci pondered for a moment and instructed.

Merging into the traffic and weaving through the night, Jiuqing Road soon arrived.

A one-way street with only two lanes, extremely narrow.

The sidewalks were filled with old-fashioned bicycles. The environment was even more rustic than Shu Ci had imagined.

He thought that his cheap husband was at least the owner of a gold-plated license plate car and their marital home should be decent. Not to mention a villa like Shen Ti’s husband’s, it should at least be a high-rise apartment, right?

Unexpectedly, it was this place.

The car could only park by the roadside. He walked towards number 9 according to the house number, and a simple and plain independent courtyard came into view.

Boston ivy densely covered the iron fence, and the fingerprint lock was hidden under layers of leaves. You wouldn’t know how to open the door without pulling the leaves aside.

Shu Ci got it right on the first try.

Before pushing the door open, he asked the bodyguard, “Is the car still following?”

“At the corner of the intersection, it’s a one-way street, so it’s difficult for him to drive over. It’s easy to expose himself.”

“Keep an eye out outside, I’ll be out soon.”

Shu Ci nodded, turned, and entered the house.

The original book didn’t describe the residence on Jiuqing Road; it was just a passing mention in the narrative.

After the original owner lost his innocence, he fled home in despair, carrying inner guilt and self-blame towards his “husband,” quickly packed his bags, and moved back to his apartment. Later, the Shu family, in order to please Gu Lan Zhu, directly took him back to the Shu family’s villa.

From beginning to end, the house on Jiuqing Road didn’t have a single extra description in the book, and even the address was only known to him after he asked Shen Ti.

It was like his cheap husband, an unimportant, optional place hidden between the lines.

Thinking this, Shu Ci, like a first-time visitor, changed into slippers and carefully stepped on the floor.

The house was older than Shu Ci had imagined. Although it was a two-story structure, the ceiling wasn’t high, and the stairs leading to the second floor were narrow and steep, only wide enough for one person at a time.

He went past the living room and kitchen and entered two bedrooms, but there was nothing inside.

“Is it because it wasn’t written, so it doesn’t even deserve a bed?” He curled his lips and went to the master bedroom on the second floor.

The moment he opened the door, Shu Ci confirmed that the original owner really lived here—

A few clothes and trousers were randomly thrown on the bed, and there were two pairs of shoes haphazardly placed in front of the dressing mirror. Presumably, before he was tricked into participating in Gu’s Omega selection under the pretext of auditioning, he tried many sets of clothes here.

Besides the clothes, shoes, and cosmetics, there were stacks and stacks of professional textbooks on the floor.

Shu Ci rummaged through the not-so-large bedroom and quickly found the original owner’s backpack and electronic devices.
