Becoming the Abused Omega and Conquering the Hidden Alpha CHAPTER 7 PART 2

PART 2

He clicked into the photo album. It didn’t have the information he expected. The life shown was the same as in the book, tranquil and peaceful, full of scenery and cats and dogs, and occasionally two videos of himself repeatedly recording auditions.

Shu Ci was slightly disappointed and quickly swiped through the screen. Soon, his fingertips suddenly stopped, and he finally saw a photo with other people in it.

It was probably a photo taken at a dinner party hosted by a college tutor. In the first few photos, he wasn’t in them, but in the last one, he stood hastily at the edge, his smile not even properly in place, before the shutter was pressed.

It was obvious that he had taken many photos for others first, and then someone called him in and took a symbolic photo with his phone.

Shu Ci’s gray-blue eyes emitted a faint chill.

He looked coldly at the faces in those photos, which were exactly the same as his but even more handsome, with a timid expression, smiling humbly, and his finger bones slightly white as he held his phone.

On the night before he transmigrated, he had indeed written many comments, but almost none of them were directed at the original owner himself.

Before meeting Gu Lan Zhu, the original owner didn’t have deep ties with other people. Excessive gentleness and sweetness made him the target of bullying.

Because of this, after being marked, he attached his heart and soul to Gu Lan Zhu alone. Even when he was trapped and confined by Gu Lan Zhu, cutting off his contact with the outside world, he never had a single complaint.

He was a truly delicate and kind Omega, the perfect parasitic flower in the secular world. He could endure any suffering, as long as he lived tragically and tenaciously, it was enough to arouse pity.

He had done nothing wrong, yet he had to suffer his whole life.

But this guy had the same name as him and the same damn face.

He didn’t know where the real original owner was now. He only knew that he had inexplicably almost been dragged onto the ridiculously absurd life path of the original owner.

He irritably put away his phone, packed the useful things into a beige backpack, forcefully zipped it up, vented his anger, and quickly went downstairs.

“Hey, A Ti?” Shu Ci called Shen Ti. “I came home to get my phone. Gu Lan Zhu’s people are outside.”

He paused and opened the door.

“If you don’t want to implicate the Shen and Cui families, I can let the bodyguard leave first. If you’re willing to help me, I’ll send you my real-time location later.”

As he spoke, the door lock clicked.

Shu Ci walked into the courtyard and looked up at the sky.

The streetlights on Jiuqing Road were dim, and a crescent moon hung in the sky. His gray-blue pupils reflected the faint moonlight.

The original owner was afraid of implicating his relatives and friends, so he chose to endure.

But he wouldn’t.

He wanted to show him—if he could see—that pointless concession and tolerance were signs of lowering one’s dignity, and endless tolerance would only make people step by step toward his bottom line, approaching the limit of his spirit.

And a true friend, even if they knew they would be implicated, would do everything for you.

“Don’t waste your words, send it quickly! As if we were so afraid of the Gu family,” Shen Ti’s voice carried a hint of coquettishness. “Just wait, I’ll tell my cousin and go find you, don’t be afraid!”

A faint curve appeared on Shu Ci’s lips.

He put away his phone and pushed aside the Boston ivy to leave the courtyard.

He didn’t get in the car, but turned and walked towards the corner intersection, to the car that was following them, and gently tapped on the hood.

A bespectacled Beta got out of the car.

Shu Ci recognized him at a glance: Gu Lan Zhu’s Beta assistant. He did all the dirty work for him, like a machine carrying out tasks, assisting in his evil deeds.

“Gu Lan Zhu is looking for me, right?”

He took the initiative, seeing a flash of astonishment in the other’s eyes.

“Yes, Mr. Gu is waiting for you at the Shu family and hopes to meet you, but the Shu family can’t reach you.”

Shu Ci raised his eyebrows slightly. It seems that this line was still following the original plot, but the details had changed. He was still in a state of inescapable doom.

“How long were you planning to follow me? Were you going to abduct me, or did you have some excuse to stop me?”

“…”

The assistant looked at the aggressive Omega in front of him, speechless for a moment, quickly regaining his elite demeanor.

“Your necklace was left at our hotel, and our boss wants to return it to you personally and apologize for the fright you received. He’s talking to Mr. Shu now, and you can have dinner together when you arrive.”

“Tsk, the reason sounds reasonable.” He asked again, “Can I bring someone else with me?”

“A bodyguard? No.” The assistant could probably guess Mr. Gu’s thoughts; letting Shu Ci bring a bodyguard would obviously increase the difficulty of his work.

When he bluntly refused, Shu Ci was also sizing him up.

From the description in the book, Gu Lan Zhu’s assistant, although a Beta, had combat strength no less than that of a combat-type Alpha. He didn’t think Shen Ti’s bodyguard could win easily.

Whether Shen Ti’s bodyguard was willing to fight for him, a mere Omega, was another matter. But no matter what, Gu Lan Zhu’s assistant would definitely want to bring him to his boss.

“Okay, I can go, but you can’t restrict my personal freedom…”

He hung his backpack in front of him, chattering about his rights, and suddenly saw a car quietly parked at the intersection.

It was hidden by the overhanging leaves by the roadside; if it hadn’t been for a gust of wind, he wouldn’t have even noticed it.

A familiar off-road vehicle, and the faint golden light emanating from the license plate on the car.

Good heavens, his cheap husband was here eating melons up close again? He was hiding so well!

“I can leave the bodyguard behind,” Shu Ci changed his tone. “But I have to bring my husband. My uncle said the other day that we got married and haven’t gone back to visit yet.”

He was surprised by his natural acting skills. Seeing the assistant’s wonderful expression, his displeasure lessened slightly.

His reason was domineering and reasonable, and the assistant couldn’t refuse.

“This… When will your husband be back? Shall I send you back to the Shu family first?” The assistant quickly regained his composure and said cleverly.

Once he got him to the boss, the boss had ways to separate the little couple.

“Him? You wait.” Shu Ci rolled up his sleeves, walked past the assistant, strode to the off-road vehicle, and directly opened the car door.

“Lu—” Shu Ci was speechless for a moment.

Lu Wanqing wasn’t wearing sunglasses this time. Hidden in the darkness, his perfectly proportioned silhouette caught Shu Ci’s eye. His eyes were as deep as water, illuminated by the sporadic lights on the dashboard.

Why was Lu Wanqing so serious? Was he angry?

Yes, the last time they met at night, he looked like that. This time, he was confronting an unknown male Beta at his doorstep, as if he was being entangled. If it were him, he certainly wouldn’t accept his wife messing around outside.

Shu Ci felt a little sympathy, and looking at this handsome face in the dim light, he calmed down slightly.

However, he quickly became a little unhappy.

Why could only Lu Wanqing be angry? He had time to watch the show here but wasn’t willing to come to help him out of trouble? Was this reasonable!

In a flash, Shu Ci’s thoughts had gone through twists and turns.

He glared at Lu Wanqing, pulled him out of the car, and linked arms with him to walk in front of the assistant.

“It’s okay for my husband to come with me, right?” He showed eight teeth, smiling gracefully and politely. “Now it’s just right, let’s buy some gifts on the way, right, honey~ huh?”

He acted forcefully, cursing his own exaggerated voice in his heart.

As soon as Shu Ci finished speaking, he clearly felt his cheap husband tremble slightly as he was being held by the arm, his strong muscles stiffening.

“Speak properly.”

Just in case, I’ll still say it. This story never involves the original owner’s Omega matters. For Shu Ci, the original owner is just a “[work project that he almost took over][a paper person who lives in a way he doesn’t like]”. Don’t worry about any emotional entanglements with the protagonist~
