Can a Naive Man Be a Heartthrob in a Bizarre World? Chapter 17.3

Part 3

Xiao Shan was a bit surprised. Seeing Luo Shizhen looking stupid, he thought this kid would be lousy at training too.

Unexpectedly, although his brain was dumb, his combat talent was decent. He could learn the moves taught to him in about two tries.

Most importantly, Luo Shizhen’s one-track mind came in handy here. No matter how bitter or tired the training was, he didn’t cry out for rest, just buried his head and practiced.

Xiao Shan was a training maniac himself. Encountering Luo Shizhen’s situation, he also got more and more into it.

The two trained for a day. Except for meal times, they basically didn’t rest.

When training ended, the sky outside was already dark. The training room was soundproof, and after the two quieted down, it presented a special silence.

Luo Shizhen imitated Xiao Shan, pressed the adsorption function, and the combat suit disconnected, easily taken off from his body.

He lay directly on the floor exhausted, soaked in sweat, but his eyes remained bright.

Since childhood, Luo Shizhen had never been good at studying. He didn’t learn other things much either. Even the cooking skills he wanted to learn, due to limited high school holidays, he didn’t have many chances to practice.

This was the first time he learned something else, and unlike before where he couldn’t learn no matter what, he could remember the movements after practicing a few times.

This feeling was too good!

Luo Shizhen was physically weak, but his spirit was very excited. He didn’t forget to flatter his Big Brother:

“Big Brother, I feel I learned a lot today, lots of things I haven’t seen in books before.”

Xiao Shan threw the combat suit aside, revealing that three-dimensional face that always appeared exceptionally fierce.

He also sweated a bit. Obviously intending to let Luo Shizhen be a sparring partner, somehow it turned into him being Luo Shizhen’s sparring partner.

But after training for a day, Xiao Shan looked at Luo Shizhen differently.

He was dumb, but when he put in effort, he really put in effort.

But thinking this in his heart, Xiao Shan’s mouth remained tough. He looked down at Luo Shizhen panting on the ground:

“Never seen someone like you. Trained until almost unable to breathe, yet still laughing here.”

Luo Shizhen smiled even more brilliantly at him weakly.

Xiao Shan: “…”

Luo Shizhen expectedly: “Big Brother, do we still train tomorrow?”

Xiao Shan: “…Train.”

Luo Shizhen smiled foolishly at him and said that sentence again: “Big Brother, you treat me so well. Thank you, Big Brother. I’ll wash clothes for you again.”

Xiao Shan: “Don’t. I have a washing machine.”

He kicked Luo Shizhen’s calf lightly: “Get up, stretch properly, otherwise you’ll hurt all over tomorrow.”

Luo Shizhen tried to crawl but failed. He wasn’t anxious, just looked up at Xiao Shan softly: “Big Brother, I have no strength, can’t get up.”

Xiao Shan frowned: “Get up even if you can’t. Without stretching after such high-intensity exercise, you’ll be useless for at least three days.”

Luo Shizhen agreed obediently and continued trying to get up.

He moved his legs, moved his hands, looking like a human trying to tame his limbs, crawling distortedly on the ground.

Xiao Shan couldn’t stand watching and picked him up with one hand. But picking him up was useless; Luo Shizhen had no strength to stretch at all.

As soon as he let go, Luo Shizhen collapsed softly again.

And his eyelids started to droop: “Big Brother, how about forget it… I’m sleepy. I’ll sleep first and stretch tomorrow?”

“You want to die of pain tomorrow?”

“Don’t want to, but I can’t get up…”

Luo Shizhen’s mind was becoming unclear, yet he remembered to smile at Xiao Shan like a flower:

“It’s okay Big Brother. I’ll get up to train tomorrow even if it hurts. I like training so much. Turns out fighting can be done so well. I want to become as formidable as Big Brother in the future.”

Xiao Shan felt uncomfortable being praised. It felt like being scratched by a newborn kitten—not painful, but oddly itchy.

Seeing Luo Shizhen really closing his eyes after speaking, looking like he planned to sleep right there, he cursed and flipped the person over easily.

“Forget it. Seeing that you were somewhat serious, I’ll reluctantly massage you.”

Massage could also relieve muscle soreness the next day. Xiao Shan massaged himself often and was quite experienced.

However, massage after exercise wasn’t comfortable; it could be described as painfully thrilling.

Sure enough, as soon as he started, Luo Shizhen woke up. Before opening his eyes, he screamed in pain first. His calves kicked spasmodically, body twisting to dodge.

Xiao Shan grabbed his ankle. Anyway, he grabbed it once; it didn’t matter doing it again.

“Don’t run! If I don’t massage you, you’ll suffer tomorrow.”

Luo Shizhen had been specially cultivated by the PE teacher and knew high-intensity exercise required relieving muscle tension. Realizing Xiao Shan was helping him, he tried hard to control his body.

“Boohoo, thank you Big Brother…”

Xiao Shan: “Saying thanks while running?”

“I, I can’t help it, my body runs away by itself…”

Luo Shizhen had no strength. He wanted to cooperate, but the massage was too painfully thrilling. His body swayed left and right to dodge on its own. Sometimes when stimulated, he reflexively kicked out.

Xiao Shan simply suppressed both his legs with one knee. Seeing he stopped struggling, he continued massaging.

“Boohoo… Big Brother, lighter, lighter Big Brother, can’t handle it.”

Xiao Shan: “…Don’t make noise!”

Luo Shizhen agreed obediently. Although he didn’t know why Big Brother didn’t let him make noise, he did as told honestly and didn’t make a sound afterward.

In the training room, silence returned.

In such a quiet atmosphere, Xiao Shan’s hands moved over Luo Shizhen’s body through the clothes, feeling his face inexplicably getting a bit hot.

After finishing with difficulty, he found himself sweating all over, even more than from training all day.

Luo Shizhen felt painfully uncomfortable during the massage, but after it was done, he felt his body relax, and even his strength recovered a bit.

He shed physiological tears just now from the massage. Now not sleepy at all, eyelashes still wet, he looked back at Xiao Shan gratefully.

“Big Brother, thank you. I’m much better, body isn’t so uncomfortable anymore.”

He was soft all over. Looking back, he happened to meet the eyes of Xiao Shan, who was still pressing on him.

Luo Shizhen blinked, his gaze landing on the side of Xiao Shan’s neck.

There was a wound there. Not big, but very deep, slowly emitting subtle black qi.

This was a very hidden spot, only exposed when Xiao Shan looked at someone at eye level.

Luo Shizhen’s gaze was involuntarily attracted by that wound.

So familiar, so hungry…

Maybe there was too much high-intensity exercise today; Luo Shizhen started getting hungry again.

Although very hungry, he still remembered to care about the Big Brother who just massaged him.

“Big Brother, you are injured?”

Xiao Shan felt very uncomfortable being looked at by those wet eyes that looked like he had cried. That look simply seemed like Luo Shizhen was feeling sorry for him.

He casually touched the wound on his neck.

“Happened over two months ago. Ignore it.”

The trouble with fighting Anomalies was here. Some Anomalies’ Qi was highly polluting. Even if their strength was average, as long as they hurt a person, they could pollute the other.

After crushing that Anomaly, he discovered a small scratch on the side of his neck.

Such a small wound would normally heal in three or four days with an Awakener’s physique. But caused by an Anomaly, it formed pollution, slowing the healing speed by a hundred times.

Xiao Shan was too lazy to go to Eternal Day to find someone to help clear it. As a newly awakened with extremely strong competitive awareness, he disliked going to Eternal Day, which had many people older and thus higher ranked than him.

Anyway, it was just slow recovery, not non-recovery.

So what if there was pollution? Just mild pollution. At most, it would make one irritable and prone to anger—as if he had a good temper before being polluted.

Someone like Chu Xiao, whose leg was hurt by an Anomaly and limped when walking, was the one who needed to go to Eternal Day for treatment.

Xiao Shan touched the wound and stopped caring.

Luo Shizhen still stared straight there. He felt Big Brother’s wound looked so delicious.

Big Brother naturally couldn’t be eaten.

So, he would just look, just touch.

Driven by hunger, Luo Shizhen reached out his hand, brushing over that tiny wound on the side of Xiao Shan’s neck.

The black qi entered Luo Shizhen’s palm.

Luo Shizhen was satisfied, feeling like he ate a small cherry tomato.

And Xiao Shan only felt the side of his neck being touched gently.

Then, the neck felt lighter. The mild pollution that had followed him for over two months vanished completely.

Xiao Shan froze, as if struck by lightning.

“You… used purification on me?”
