Chapter 49: The Zhadao Team part 1
Awakeners, by nature, had a strong desire for territorial control.
They wanted to occupy others’ territory, let alone their own bodies.
So, saying these words was basically a blatant provocation—an open scheme, but one that was very successful in the world of Awakeners.

The long-haired man waved his hand, and the young man who had been monitoring the surroundings with the device stepped forward and transmitted their credentials.
Luo Shizhen also received a copy, and his eyes widened slightly.

He had seen this team name before. It seemed to be the one ranked second among the male Guardian teams.

It was the first time Hua Yi had heard anyone call him “Hua-laoshi.” He raised an eyebrow and looked at the young man shivering in the corner.
“Is he your mission target? He should have a Grade 3 Gu on him. Why don’t I see it? Did you solve it?”
His azure eyes swept over the young Awakeners. Although he didn’t say anything else, every look seemed to arrogantly express: With just you few, you could solve a Grade 3 Gu?
Cheng Yunshao and the others naturally couldn’t stand such a gaze. Each of them clenched their fists and stared back coldly.
Luo Shizhen was the only one present who was unaffected.
He answered honestly: “We encountered that Gu once. It was in a python’s tongue, but we haven’t seen it since coming down.”
He also found it strange. Clearly, that Gu looked very vicious—shouldn’t those two people have used the Grade 3 Gu to deal with them?
Why couldn’t they see the Gu after coming down, yet they wanted to summon an Xieshen?

Then he heard Luo Shizhen add: “Besides, Zhadao is the second-ranked Guardian team. They’re definitely stronger than us.”

Hua Yi didn’t care what the other team members were thinking. He swept his gaze over the spiritual power Sui An had left on Luo Shizhen, and his smile deepened:
“Your Sui-laoshi isn’t here, so Hua-laoshi will protect you.”
Luo Shizhen, however, still failed to get his subtle provocative intent and thought Hua Yi had a really poor memory.
“Isn’t Sui-laoshi here?”
He said honestly: “You just said his spiritual power is right here.”
Luo Shizhen looked down at Hua Yi’s slender fingers on his shoulder with some concern:
“Hua-laoshi, I can’t see Sui-laoshi’s spiritual power. Can you? Is your hand pressing down on it?”
When he was studying the Qi-bodies before, he found that his classmates’ Qi-bodies seemed to prefer staying on his shoulders.
Maybe Sui-laoshi was the same?
