Chapter 20: Are You Really Sure You Want to Escape?
Qin Wan sat down properly on the chair opposite Fu Yunting.
Hands on his knees, upper body straight and upright.
A face of obedience and docility.
“Young Master Fu, is your relationship with Mr. Gu very good?”
Fu Yunting nodded. “Of course.”
Qin Wan: “How good?”
Fu Yunting looked proud. “This Young Master and Ah Lan are good brothers who grew up together since childhood, so good we don’t distinguish between each other!”
Qin Wan nodded, thoughtful.
Fu Yunting’s gaze slanted, seeing the two books on the small table.
The covers were very distinctive.
He frowned.
“Mn? What kind of pornographic yellow books are those? Bring them here, let me see!” he ordered.
Qin Wan obediently walked over and picked up the books.
Walked back and handed them to Fu Yunting.
Fu Yunting took them and looked, eyebrows raising.
“Tsk tsk, Qin Wan, you really are something. You actually secretly read this kind of obscene material?”
“You think learning these seductive fox tricks will let you entangle Ah Lan? Laughable!”
Fu Yunting raised an eyebrow. “I advise you to get your identity straight. You are just a little pet Ah Lan keeps! Don’t overthink it!”
Qin Wan pursed his lips, then chuckled lightly.
Fu Yunting frowned. “What are you laughing at?”
Qin Wan’s voice was very calm. “Young Master Fu, didn’t you think about it? I’m locked up here; where would I go to get these books?”
“These books were actually given to me by Mr. Gu. He forced me to study them.”
“Huh? …” Fu Yunting was slapped in the face, feeling somewhat awkward.
He quickly lowered his head, pretending to flip through the book, acting very busy.
“Young Master Fu, Mr. Gu told me to take a special look at the page with the bookmark in this one.” Qin Wan pointed at one of the books and said this sentence.
Hearing this, Fu Yunting quickly flipped through that book, wanting to find the bookmark.
He definitely had to see what good stuff Gu Xinglan was making Qin Wan learn.
While he was completely absorbed in flipping through the book, Qin Wan slowly walked behind him.
The next second, he moved extremely fast, choking Fu Yunting’s neck with his arm. His other hand quickly pulled a shiny silver dinner fork from his pocket.
He pressed it ruthlessly against his carotid artery.
“Ah—” Focused on the book, Fu Yunting hadn’t expected that the seemingly pitiful little milk dog would actually have this move.
“Wh-What are you doing?”
Qin Wan was actually very nervous inside, his face flushing slightly red.
But he controlled it with all his might, speaking coldly, “Don’t move! Dare to move a muscle, and I promise to poke your neck into a fountain!”
“Qin Wan! W-What exactly do you want to do?”
Young Master Fu, who had lived like a prince since childhood, had never encountered such a thing and was terrified.
“Even if my words were ugly, you… you don’t need such murderous intent! At such a young age, how… how are you so violent…”
Qin Wan applied a little pressure with the silver fork in his hand, and Fu Yunting felt a stinging pain in the skin of his neck.
Something warm seeped out.
Qin Wan had acted on impulse because he wanted to escape this place too much.
During breakfast today, seemingly guided by ghosts and gods, he had hidden a dinner fork.
Originally, he hadn’t thought of a use for this thing.
After all, the chance of successfully ambushing Gu Xinglan with a fork wasn’t even one in a million.
And the consequences of failure would be tragic.
But Fu Yunting had suddenly appeared; he was undoubtedly the only variable in this deadly game.
He was very close to Gu Xinglan. Qin Wan believed that if he used his life as a bargaining chip, Gu Xinglan would compromise.
After all, as Fu Yunting said, he was just a pet.
No, only those doted on by their owners are called pets. He could only be considered a plaything.
Gu Xinglan would absolutely not disregard his best friend’s life for a plaything.
Qin Wan exhaled deeply and commanded, “Call Gu Xinglan. Ask him for the ankle chain password!”
Fu Yunting was stunned for a moment before realizing.
“Okay, okay, fine, fine! Qin Wan, don’t get excited, don’t do it! Absolutely don’t do it! I’ll call him right now!”
Fu Yunting spoke humbly, reaching into his pocket.
Qin Wan stared tightly at his hand.
If he pulled out a knife or dagger, he would stab the fork down immediately.
However, he clearly didn’t understand the Third Young Master Fu.
In Fu San Shao’s pocket, there might be condoms, there might be pills, but there would absolutely never be a knife.
Fu Yunting pulled out his phone with trembling fingers and dialed a number.
“Put it on speaker!” Qin Wan’s voice was also trembling slightly.
Fu Yunting did as told.
After a long while, Gu Xinglan’s voice came from the other end.
“What is it?”
“Ah Lan!” Fu Yunting let out a miserable scream, making Gu Xinglan frown.
“Ah Lan, y-you hurry up and tell me the password! Hurry!”
Gu Xinglan frowned. “What password? What are you talking about?”
“Just… just the password for the combination lock on that chain you tied to Qin Wan’s ankle!”
“Quick, tell me quickly! Ah Lan, he’s holding a dinner fork, about to poke my neck!”
Gu Xinglan on the other end: …
He seemed to understand Fu Yunting’s current predicament.
His brow slowly relaxed.
“You went to my house?”
“Ah Lan, stop asking! Hurry and tell me the password! Otherwise he… he might really…”
Qin Wan cooperated very well, applying a little more force with his hand.
“Ah! He stabbed me again! It hurts, hurts, hurts! Bleeding a lot!”
Gu Xinglan pressed his lips together, his deep phoenix eyes narrowing, his expression indescribable.
“Qin Wan, are you listening?”
Hearing Gu Xinglan call his name, Qin Wan’s body trembled uncontrollably.
His cherry-pink lips quivered slightly.
Forcing calm: “I am.”
“The password is 073005. Don’t hurt Fu Yunting; let him go.” Gu Xinglan’s voice was steady as usual, without the slightest ripple.
As if he didn’t care about either Fu Yunting being held hostage or Qin Wan wanting to escape.
Qin Wan didn’t act; he lifted his long leg and stepped on the edge of the chair Fu Yunting was sitting on.
“Enter the password for me. Unlock it.”
Gu Xinglan laughed dryly. “Is this distrust, worrying I’ll lie to you? Qin Wan, do you think everyone is a master liar like you?”
Qin Wan’s heart ached, his beautiful eyes dimming for an instant.
Fu Yunting was very cowardly. Following Qin Wan’s instructions, he reached down to his ankle, trembling fingers inputting that string of numbers on the combination lock.
Sure enough, with a soft beep, the lock opened.
Qin Wan raised his eyebrow slightly, his eyes filling with a look of joy.
“Qin Wan, I’ve opened the lock for you, just let me go!” Fu Yunting sounded like he was crying.
Qin Wan didn’t answer but shouted toward the phone microphone, “Is the lock at the head of the bed also this password?”
Gu Xinglan didn’t quite understand the purpose of this question, but he still answered, “Yes, same password.”
Qin Wan’s fox eyes narrowed slightly.
He pulled Fu Yunting up to stand.
“Go over there. Unlock the other end of the chain for me too.”
Fu Yunting took small steps to the bedside and unlocked the other end of the gold chain as well.
Looking at this glittering gold chain, Qin Wan felt both love and hate.
“Put it in the bag.” He directed Fu Yunting to stuff the long chain into the empty garment bag.
“Alright, carry it. Now, go out, downstairs.”
The dinner fork in Qin Wan’s hand pressed tightly against Fu Yunting’s neck, not daring to loosen even a bit.
Escorting the person toward the door.
“Gu Xinglan, tell the others in the villa not to block me!”
He shouted again.
At this moment, hearing the commotion, the villa bodyguards rushed in.
Three burly men blocked the doorway.
“Tell them to move!” Qin Wan trembled slightly inside.
His handsome little face had begun to turn pale, his voice trembling slightly.
On the other end of the phone, Gu Xinglan seemed neither anxious nor angry, only asking faintly, “Qin Wan, are you really sure you want to escape?”
But the deep oppression overflowing from this sentence made Qin Wan feel he was about to collapse.
He gritted his teeth, summoning all his courage: “Yes! I don’t want to stay with a madman like you ever again.”
“The money I owe you, I will try my best to find a way to pay back later.”
“Now, please tell them to let us pass!”
