Chapter 13: Pheromones
Ye Zhile had a fever all night after returning that day. He thought he had a fever again and kept applying a wet towel. Seeing the temperature drop slightly, he ignored it and went straight to sleep.
When he got up the next day, he was dizzy all over, accompanied by a stinging pain in his glands. Ye Zhile applied an inhibitor patch, washed up, and went down to assemble.
Today was mech operation. The scene was solemn. Suddenly, two mechs rushed out from not far away, bullets flying, and the battle was fierce. The two mechs refused to give way to each other, shuttling through the clouds, going back and forth without yielding.
Ye Zhile was dazzled, yet found it spectacular. He opened his mouth slightly. When the two mechs stopped, the ones who walked down from them were Ji Shuohan and Ye Zhichen.
“Wow~ So handsome!”
“The Supreme Leader and the Colonel! So amazing!”
Ye Zhile’s gaze was fixed on Ji Shuohan. That military uniform was too dazzling. The Enigma was tall and strong, imposing. He took off his helmet, raised his cold eyes slightly, and saw Ye Zhile at a glance.
Ji Shuohan withdrew his gaze. “Today’s mech operation will be guided by me and the Major.”
Everyone first visited to familiarize themselves with the structure of the mech, listened to Ye Zhichen explain the basic theory, and then practiced operation. A small mech was ten meters long and four meters high. Ye Zhile touched it and couldn’t help but sigh with emotion.
“Don’t be nervous when you go up later, protect yourself.” Ye Zhichen walked over at some point, leaning on the mech and saying.
Ye Zhile nodded. “Don’t worry, I will definitely be able to complete the basic operations!”
Ye Zhichen scraped the tip of his nose. “Look at you being capable.”
Ye Zhile scrunched his nose. Ye Zhichen rubbed his head. “It’s about to start, get ready.”
“Yes.” Ye Zhile put on his helmet and climbed onto the mech. The number of buttons inside was panic-inducing. Ye Zhile took a deep breath and relaxed. He located the two buttons for start and stop.
While waiting for the order, someone came up. Ye Zhile turned his head to look. “Leader?”
“Listen to my command.” Ji Shuohan sat in the passenger seat.
Ye Zhile looked; this was 1V1 teaching, competing in pairs.
“Yes!” Ye Zhile focused his attention on the front.
As the flag of the person between the two mechs fell, the basic operation officially began.
“Start,” Ji Shuohan said.
Ye Zhile pressed it, and the mech began to advance slowly. In less than a moment, Ji Shuohan said again: “Ascend 150 meters from the ground.”
“Double return capsule.”
Ye Zhile followed Ji Shuohan’s instructions in an orderly manner, and the mech rose slowly.
“Fly at a speed of 150 meters per second.”
“Fly at a speed of 280 meters per second.”
The speed got faster and faster. Ye Zhile felt like he had broken free from gravity and was now in interstellar space. His hand held the gear tightly, controlling both speed and direction.
Ji Shuohan glanced out the window. He seemed to have used his spiritual power, and a scent of cold cedar drifted in the small space.
“Enemy appears at 45 degrees north-south direction, pay attention to the bullets projected by the other side in time.”
“Yes,” Ye Zhile answered. The cold cedar was like small needles piercing his body. The powerful pheromones used by Enigmas to fend off enemies were simply not suitable for release in front of Omegas.
Ye Zhile forced himself to stay alert. He glanced out the window and saw that mech project a bullet. Before Ji Shuohan could speak, Ye Zhile dodged it at a speed of 480 meters per second.
Sprinting like a rocket, Ye Zhile’s hands and feet were a bit weak, and his helmet was already full of sweat.
Under the condition of physical discomfort, he also projected two bullets at the opponent.
“Ye Zhile, are you okay?” When Ji Shuohan turned his head, the Omega’s nose was covered in fine sweat, and his eyelashes were trembling. Ye Zhile nodded. “I can do it.”
Ye Zhile concentrated. The mech broke through the clouds at a speed of 500 meters per second, crossing the boundary between the Empire and interstellar space. The surroundings darkened. This was Ye Zhile’s first time in interstellar space, seeing other planets.
There were flashes of explosions not far away. Ye Zhile blinked. He turned back and asked, “What is that place?”
Ji Shuohan’s gaze was deep. “That is where the Federation and the Empire are fighting.”
Ye Zhile fell silent. The mech traveled smoothly in interstellar space. Ji Shuohan reminded him, “If you go further down, you will intrude into the territory of other planets.”
“Oh.” Ye Zhile immediately turned around. The mech descended in a spiral. But as soon as it came down, he felt dizzy, and the gear almost slipped from his hand. He panicked and hurriedly gripped it tightly.
His heart panicked, legs were weak, and his body was unbearably hot. What was going on? It couldn’t be that he became like this just from the Leader’s pheromones.
That mech was no longer there. Ye Zhile followed Ji Shuohan’s command to descend.
“Leader…” Ye Zhile called him in a daze. Ji Shuohan felt his state was wrong. “Ye Zhile?”
“Pinch me quickly,” Ye Zhile said. “I feel like I’m going to faint from the heat.”
“…” Ji Shuohan directly put his hand on his hand, only feeling a scorching heat. He was startled inside. “Ye Zhile, your estrus period has arrived.”
“Ah?” Ye Zhile panicked. “Then, then what to do? My inhibitor is in the dorm.”
“Don’t be afraid, land the mech safely first.” Ji Shuohan replaced Ye Zhile’s hand to operate the mech. Ye Zhile felt so uncomfortable he reached out to scratch his neck, shrinking into the seat and shivering.
“Ye Zhile.” Ji Shuohan called him. Ye Zhile shrank his head. “I’m here… Leader, don’t mind me, you drive.”
Ji Shuohan successfully landed the mech. He quickly took off Ye Zhile’s helmet. Sweat had already soaked the Omega through. He was tortured into a full flush, without a trace of strength in his body. Ye Zhile shrank in the seat, his consciousness already a bit unclear.
“Ye Zhile?” Just as Ji Shuohan touched him, he was pushed away forcefully by the Omega, resisting all over. “Don’t, don’t touch me…”
“Ye Zhile, I am Ji Shuohan.” Ji Shuohan didn’t get angry. He said softly, “Don’t be afraid, I’ll take you to the infirmary.”
“Ji Shuohan…” Ye Zhile muttered this name. He raised his eyes, his eye sockets stained red like cherry blossoms, watery. “I feel so uncomfortable…”
“I know, I’ll take you to the infirmary.” Ji Shuohan tried to approach him again. The Omega no longer struggled, his whole body damp and unbearably hot.
Ji Shuohan took off his coat and covered the Omega completely, then carried him to the infirmary.
The Omega was tortured into sobbing under the quilt, yet the doctor wouldn’t give him an inhibitor injection.
“Leader, his estrus period was induced by your pheromones. You also know that your pheromones are different from ordinary Alpha pheromones; this inhibitor has no effect on him.” The doctor looked embarrassed.
“Then what should be done?” Ji Shuohan’s face was cold. Watching Ye Zhile enduring the pain and heat, he was extremely panicked.
The doctor looked back and forth between the two and said bluntly, “The Leader’s pheromone marking will be useful. Presumably, this is the Leader’s Spouse.”
