Chapter 2: The Supreme Leader Likes Him~
“Thank you.” Ye Zhile snapped back to reality, thanked Wei Xichu, and quickly got into the car.
It was extremely quiet inside the car. Since Ye Zhile got in, Ji Shuohan hadn’t spoken a word to him. Ye Zhile wasn’t naturally overly familiar with strangers, but with the person he had admired since childhood right beside him, he couldn’t stay calm.
Ye Zhile secretly glanced sideways at him, his lively black eyes like those of a pampered kitten. He thought he was hiding it well, but Ji Shuohan suddenly turned his head, fixing his cold eyes on him. “Something the matter?”
Ye Zhile shook his head rapidly. “N-No, nothing.”
Ye Zhile secretly stuck out his tongue, feeling incredibly stupid. But he wanted to ask, Do you really not remember me? You called me Little Zhile when I was small, but now you act like a stranger.
“We…” Ye Zhile mustered his courage, meeting Ji Shuohanâs bottomless eyes, and asked, “Why are we, um, getting married?”
Ji Shuohan looked at the beautiful and cute Omega before him, whose eyes were full of innocence. Seemingly recalling something, he replied, “I think we are very suitable. I like you very much.”
Ye Zhileâs brain exploded with a boom, boiling like hot water. His face turned blood-red. It took a long while for him to recover, turning his head toward the window before letting out a delayed, “Oh.”
Father really didn’t lie to him! The Leader likes him!!
Ye Zhile suppressed his joy, pretending to be reserved and composing his expression. However, Ji Shuohan saw all of this but merely thought that the Omega was indeed a child; all his thoughts were written on his face, plain to see.
When they arrived at the Marriage Registration Center, the staff had been informed in advance and were busy preparing for the Supreme Leader. When the people arrived, the staff were all on tenterhooks, afraid that any mistake would displease the Supreme Leader. But they had overthought it; the Supreme Leader followed all their arrangements, treating the marriage registration as if he were completing a mission.
When taking the ID photos, the staff asked them to get closer and act more natural. Ye Zhile felt Ji Shuohan moving closer and closer. The Enigmaâs powerful pheromones enveloped himâit was the scent of cedar.
Ye Zhile saw the man approach out of the corner of his eye and quietly moved a little closer too, a hint of a smile pursed on his lips.
It wasn’t until he held the certificate in his hand that Ye Zhile suddenly came back to his senses. He was married, and he was married to the person he had admired for many years.
It felt so unreal…
“There are matters at the Ministry. I’ll have Wei Xichu take you back first,” Ji Shuohan said.
“Huh?” Ye Zhile was stunned, feeling a bit disappointed in his heart. He wanted to say something, but Ji Shuohan turned and got into the car to leave before he could finish. Ye Zhile frowned. “Is he that busy?”
“The Leader has just taken office, and there are still many handover matters. Young Master Ye, please don’t blame him,” Wei Xichu explained on Ji Shuohanâs behalf.
Ye Zhile shook his head. “It’s okay.”
Wei Xichu nodded. “Let’s go. I’ll take you back to the Leader’s Manor.”
Ye Zhile nodded. He watched the car drive further away and pursed his lips.
The Leader’s Manor occupied a vast area, guarded by soldiers front and back, majestic and imposing. When Ye Zhile got out of the car, the servants of the manor came over to greet him, took his luggage, and led him inside.
“Hello, Young Master Ye. I am the butler of the Leader’s Manor. My name is Xu Penglai.” The middle-aged man, over fifty, smiled kindly, making Ye Zhile feel a bit shy. He greeted him obediently, “Hello, Uncle Xu. My name is Ye Zhile. You can call me Lele.”
Xu Penglai nodded with a smile. The Omega in front of him seemed very pleasing to the eye, and his gaze was full of appreciation and liking. He turned sideways. “Let’s go. I’ll show you around the manor so you can get familiar with it.”
“Okay.” Ye Zhile handed his suitcase to the servant and followed.
“I’ve met your father a few times,” Xu Penglai chatted with him. “To lead the 28th Mech Army to guard the frontier in the face of danger without chaos, and even confront those old fellows from the Federation without losing an inchâMr. Ye is both brave and resourceful. It is truly admirable.”
Ye Zhile smiled. “Father has always been amazing. He is the role model for my brothers and me to learn from.”
Seeing that the Omega was neither arrogant nor impetuous, and even looked full of admiration when discussing his father, Xu Penglaiâs appreciation grew.
Ye Zhile didn’t understand what Uncle Xu was smiling about, but he didn’t ask.
After touring the manor, Ye Zhile realized how big it was. In the end, they had to use a car to send him back.
Ye Zhile was arranged to stay in the last room on the second floor. Uncle Xu said this room had the best lighting and view, facing the garden, thinking the Omega would like it. Ye Zhile wasn’t picky; he thanked Uncle Xu and settled in.
Ye Zhile wasn’t overly familiar, but he wasn’t introverted either. While the servant was tidying up his room, he asked, “When will the Leader come back?”
The servants in the manor were all Betas, gentle in appearance and personality. Hearing this, she smiled and said, “We don’t know about this either. The Leader has a lot of business every day. He leaves very early in the morning, and there is no precise time for him at night.”
Ye Zhile nodded. “Thank you.”
“Madam doesn’t need to be polite with us.” The servant was named Xiao Ruo. She laughed, “Since you are married to our Leader, you are the other master of the manor. This is what we should do.”
Ye Zhile blushed and smiled shyly.
Ye Zhile didn’t fall asleep until the early hours of the morning. When he heard footsteps going upstairs, he quickly got out of bed, opened the door, and saw Ji Shuohanâs figure.
Hearing the noise, the man turned his head and saw the little Omega standing at the door, looking at him eagerly. “Not asleep yet?”
“Mn.” Ye Zhile nodded and asked him, “Have you been very busy recently?”
“Mn.” Ji Shuohan saw him wearing thin pajamas, looking like such a small thing, and said casually, “Wear more, don’t catch a cold.”
Omegas generally seemed to have poor health.
“Okay~” Ye Zhile smiled until his eyes curved, feeling a burst of warmth in his heart. After the person left, he closed the door and jumped onto the bed excitedly.
The Supreme Leader is caring about him!! So happy!!
