Chapter 40: Lele Likes the Leader Very Much

After speaking, Ye Zhile went back to his room.
Ji Shuohan stood in place. He looked at the Omega’s door for an unknown amount of time before returning to his room.
Approaching the end of the term, Ye Zhile spent more time in the library than at home. And after returning home, the Supreme Leader didn’t come back, so for several consecutive days, the two didn’t meet.
The weather was getting colder and colder. Ye Zhile lived a two-point line life every day. Occasionally he went out to play with Leng Xingtu, but always fully armed. Ye Zhile smiled. He said, “Recently we are both busy. Haven’t seen each other for three days.”
The Supreme Leader left early and returned late, while Ye Zhile got up late when he didn’t have classes, and went to sleep early after coming back from classes, so their times missed each other.
“Really boring.” Leng Xingtu remarked casually.
Ye Zhile’s pen tip paused. He whispered in agreement, “I think so too.”
At this moment, a person sat down in front of them. Ye Zhile looked up; it was Lu Xingyan.
Lu Xingyan smiled. “Let’s go out to eat together later, the three of us?”
Ye Zhile looked at Leng Xingtu and nodded. “Okay.”
The three stayed in the library for a while longer, then went out to find a restaurant to eat.
“What is Lele planning to do for winter break?” Lu Xingyan asked him.
Ye Zhile had a poor appetite today. Poking the beef in his plate, he shook his head. “Don’t know, we’ll see then.”
“I’m planning to go out to play.” Leng Xingtu bumped Ye Zhile. “How about we go to the hot springs!”
“Sure.” Ye Zhile agreed readily.
After eating, the three walked to the restaurant entrance. Lu Xingyan said to Ye Zhile, “I’ll send you back.”
“No need, I have a car coming to pick me up.” Just as Ye Zhile finished speaking, a car stopped in front of him. Ye Zhile said goodbye to the two and got in the car.
Lu Xingyan stood in place, his eyes dim. Leng Xingtu watched this and offered kind advice, “I think you better open your mind and let go of this feeling sooner rather than later. Lele likes the Leader very much.”
Lu Xingyan didn’t speak. He said goodbye to Leng Xingtu and left as well.
Translator’s Note: Ming Xi calls Ye Zhile “Little Sister-in-law” (小嫂嫂 – Xiao Saosao). Even though Ye Zhile is male, “Sister-in-law” (Saosao) is commonly used in Danmei (BL) novels for the partner of an older brother/friend, regardless of gender. The “Little” is added because Ye Zhile is significantly younger than them. Also, regarding the Enigma’s “Rut” (or Susceptibility Period), typically Enigmas are portrayed as the top of the hierarchy, able to mark Alphas, and are usually immune to pheromones unless they find their destined partner—hence the drama!
