EO Romance: The Supreme Leader Is About to Enter the Crematorium Chapter 46

Chapter 46: Stay With Me, My Lord

“How can you stay here?” Ye Zhijin looked stern. “This place is full of Alphas. Who would dare feel at ease leaving you here?”

“Exactly,” Ye Zhichen echoed. “Once you go back, you are not allowed to come out. Stay home obediently. Do you know that the data from the Health and Safety Center just shot up again? Especially in the Capital! The day before yesterday it was just one person! Today it rose to two hundred! This virus permeates everything, it’s too terrifying.”

Ye Zhile remained silent, looking at his second brother pitifully. Ye Zhichen ignored his gaze. “Don’t look at me. I heard that this virus most easily invades people with poor constitutions, especially Omegas. The ABO infection ratio is 2 to 1 to 7! Do you know how worried Big Brother and I were for you!”

“I know…” Ye Zhile compromised. “Then as soon as there is news, you must notify me immediately.”

Ye Zhile thought, with so much going on right now, he had better go home obediently and save his two brothers from worrying so much.

“Mn, be good,” Ye Zhichen rubbed his head.

An hour later, Ji Shuohan came over. His complexion was not very good. Ye Zhile didn’t dare to speak and obediently followed behind him to leave.

Ye Zhijin and Ye Zhichen both breathed a sigh of relief at the same time.

Getting into the car, Ye Zhile sat inside, burying his head, his mood poor. When Ji Shuohan reached out his hand, he was startled.

Ji Shuohan’s hand paused, then he pressed it against his forehead. Seeing no signs of a fever, he felt relieved.

“Didn’t I say you couldn’t go out?” Ji Shuohan asked him.

Ye Zhile muttered softly, “I called, but no one answered…”

“It’s very dangerous outside right now…”

“I know…” Ye Zhile interrupted him, his voice choking with sobs. “But no one told me… I called the Military Department and the Supreme Leader’s Ministry, and no one answered. I was scared…”

Ji Shuohan felt a lump in his throat. Ultimately, he said nothing. After returning home, he disinfected both of them thoroughly before entering the house.

Ye Zhile had been listless all the way, unable to lift his spirits. Ji Shuohan cooked a bowl of seafood porridge for him and brought it upstairs.

Ye Zhile leaned against the headboard in a daze, looking spiritless. Ji Shuohan sat on the edge of the bed, blowing the porridge to cool it down to feed him. “Eat something.”

Ye Zhile opened his mouth and ate it. “Thank you, My Lord.”

Ji Shuohan very patiently fed him half a bowl of porridge until Ye Zhile shook his head. “I can’t eat anymore.”

“You ate too little.” Ji Shuohan frowned, blowing on it again to feed him. “Eat more.”

“Don’t want to…” Ye Zhile turned his head away.

Ji Shuohan couldn’t do anything about him. Just as he was about to go down to put the bowl away, Ye Zhile grabbed his wrist. “Stay with me, My Lord.”

“I’ll come right back after I put the bowl away,” Ji Shuohan said. After Ye Zhile let go, he took the bowl down, put it away, and immediately came back up.

He sat on the edge of Ye Zhile’s bed. Ye Zhile kept his eyes open, staring at him, then shifted slightly to the side and patted the space next to him.

Faced with the Omega’s innocent invitation, Ji Shuohan lay down without any hesitation, then gathered Ye Zhile into his arms. The person in his embrace was fragrant and soft, rubbing against his chest like a kitten.

Ji Shuohan lowered his head, falling into the Omega’s watery deer-like eyes. He kissed the Omega’s forehead and hugged the person tighter in his arms. “Sleep.”

Ye Zhile found a comfortable position and fell asleep not long after.

The long night stretched on, the cold wind howling outside, yet indoors it was gentle and warm. The sweet freesia made one feel no cold, only indulgence.

When Ye Zhile woke up, Ji Shuohan had already gone to the Supreme Leader’s Ministry. Due to the virus infection, the servants of the Leader’s Manor had temporarily evacuated. Only Uncle Xu remained, but Uncle Xu didn’t enter the main hall, only handling the affairs of the Leader’s Manor in the side courtyard.

These past few days, Ji Shuohan would prepare breakfast and lunch for Ye Zhile and then let him heat them up in the microwave. After eating breakfast, Ye Zhile wandered around the study for a while. He couldn’t even go to the garden and could only look outside through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Ye Zhile had just spoken on the phone with his Big Brother, asking for news about Dad and Father. A day had passed, and they still hadn’t been found.

He could only watch the news to understand the outside world.

“With the massive outbreak of the KB virus, there are currently 31,000 infected cases and 9,800 deaths. The Health and Safety Center has dispatched over 2,000 additional medical personnel to various locations to carry out rescue operations… The Supreme Leader’s Ministry released news today: a large amount of funds will be invested in the treatment of the KB virus…”

Ye Zhile then saw the current status of those infected with the KB virus: continuous high fever, painful glands and limbs, accompanied by pheromone loss of control… especially the appearance of those Omegas breaking down because they couldn’t endure the pain…

Ye Zhile felt anxious and uneasy. He hugged his knees tightly, sitting on the sofa, turned off the TV, and stared blankly at a spot.

At this very moment at the Supreme Leader’s Ministry—

It was a chaotic mess. The various infection data reported from below were becoming more and more terrifying. The Capital had already fallen. Everyone communicated wearing masks. Not only was there the infection situation, but the military situation at the border was also urgent, requiring material resources. Ji Shuohan was incredibly busy. After finally getting a moment of respite, he convened a meeting.

“Regarding the KB virus infection, I hope it can be effectively controlled within a week.” Ji Shuohan sat in the main seat. “The KB virus was initially infected through injected pheromone gene modification potions, and later through pheromone exchange infections. Then high-level pheromones should be able to alleviate the symptoms of low-level infections. Is that correct, Minister Shi?”

“Yes.” The Minister of the Pheromone Testing Center answered. “High-level pheromones can alleviate low-level symptoms, but it is not a radical cure. Moreover, once a high-level is infected, there is no cure unless their own immune system is exceptionally good.”

“If the ingredients of the pheromone gene modification potion are detected, is there a possibility of a cure?” Ji Shuohan asked.

“If the ingredients of the potion can be extracted, then we can know its mutually generating and overcoming elements, and there is a possibility of a cure,” the Minister said.

Ji Shuohan nodded and immediately issued an order. “Investigate from the very first batch of people. Make sure to extract the potion’s ingredients. The Pheromone Testing Center must also be prepared at all times. Strive to control the virus infection within a week; it would be best if the antidote is already developed by then.”

“Yes!”

Ji Shuohan was just preparing to dismiss the meeting when Wei Xichu came in looking anxious. He said, “Bad news, My Lord, the driver is infected…”

The driver Wei Xichu mentioned was surnamed Wei, who had always been Ji Shuohan’s exclusive driver. Yet, this driver had just driven him and Ye Zhile back to the Leader’s Manor yesterday…

For the first time, Ji Shuohan lost his composure in front of everyone. Looking hurried, he strode out of the conference room and picked up the phone to call home. The phone rang for a long time before connecting.

“My Lord…” The weak voice on the other end lifted Ji Shuohan’s heart into his throat, panicking to the point of exploding.

“Ye Zhile!”

Ji Shuohan grabbed his coat and rushed home. Seeing Wei Xichu about to follow, he stopped him. “You don’t need to follow me. I will go back alone.”

“Yes!”
