EO Romance: The Supreme Leader Is About to Enter the Crematorium Chapter 55

Chapter 55: Happy New Year!

On the day before the New Year, the Leader’s Manor was already decorating for the festival. Everywhere was adorned with lanterns and colored banners, brimming with joy. Ye Zhile flew downstairs, watching the servants paste couplets here and hang colored lights there. However, he and the adult would not be spending the New Year at the Leader’s Manor; instead, they would go home to spend it with his Dad and Father.

Ye Zhile entered the study. Ji Shuohan seemed to be handling some urgent business, his brows tightly furrowed. Seeing this, Ye Zhile retreated, only coming back in after a short while holding a cup of coffee.

“You’ve worked hard, My Lord.” Ye Zhile crossed his hands over his abdomen and spoke respectfully. That overly attentive and cute appearance made one’s heart itch. Ji Shuohan pulled him into his embrace. “Baby, are you role-playing?”

“Not at all.” Ye Zhile hooked his arms around his neck. “I am expressing my gratitude that My Lord can accompany me home for the New Year.”

“What is there to thank me for?” Ji Shuohan didn’t quite understand. “I haven’t even officially visited Dad and Father yet. Isn’t this what I ought to do?”

Ye Zhile smiled and snuggled into Ji Shuohan’s embrace.

Early on New Year’s morning, several cars fully loaded with New Year goods drove towards the Ye family home. Just like the previous few times, Wen Yumo and Ye Junting came to the door to receive them.

“Dad, Father.” Ji Shuohan, just like many sons-in-law, greeted them properly and respectfully at the door.

Wen Yumo nodded. “Come in.”

“I didn’t expect My Lord would come home with Lele for the New Year, and you even bought so many goods. You are too polite,” Ye Junting smiled.

“Father can just call me Shuohan,” Ji Shuohan said humbly.

Ye Junting nodded, extremely satisfied with Ji Shuohan not displaying any distant behavior.

Today was the New Year, and Ye Zhijin and Ye Zhichen had also returned. However, they seemed to have matters to attend to; as soon as the two came back, Ji Shuohan and Ye Junting followed them into the study.

“It’s the New Year, and they’re still busy with those things.” In the kitchen, Wen Yumo was making the New Year’s Eve dinner with the nanny, while Ye Zhile helped out on the side. Hearing this, he hugged Wen Yumo. “Dad, they have no other choice.”

Wen Yumo patted his hand. “I know, I just hope the Empire can settle down. This time, clashing with Rhea Star, the surrounding alien stars are also eyeing us like tigers watching their prey. I don’t know when this will ever end.”

Ye Zhile fell silent. Thinking of his Father and Dad’s disappearance last time, a wave of lingering fear washed over him.

“Are we going to fight a war again?” Ye Zhile asked suddenly.

Wen Yumo was startled. After a moment, he nodded. “Not even the New Year is peaceful.”

“Don’t think about these things.” Wen Yumo interrupted Ye Zhile’s wandering thoughts and asked him, “How are you getting along with the Supreme Leader?”

Ye Zhile was successfully sidetracked. He smiled, “Very well, My Lord treats me very well.”

“That’s good,” Wen Yumo said, gratified.

It wasn’t until a while later that the four of them came out of the study. The New Year’s Eve dinner was sumptuous, completely filling the large, round dining table. After everyone took their seats, harmony filled the table. Ye Zhile sat next to Ji Shuohan, eating with great relish.

“I wonder if our Lele has caused you any trouble.” Ye Junting looked at Ye Zhile’s head bobbing as he ate, smiling with pure doting affection. “This child has been spoiled since he was young. If there are any areas where he caused trouble, I hope you can be tolerant.”

“He hasn’t, Zhile is very cute.” After Ji Shuohan spoke, he looked at Ye Zhile with an utterly doting expression.

“Exactly! I’m so well-behaved! How could I cause trouble!” Ye Zhile let out a disdainful ‘hmph’.

“Yes, yes, yes, our Lele is the most well-behaved and sensible.” Ye Junting wore a look of absolute indulgence.

Joy filled the dining table. After eating and drinking to their hearts’ content, it was time for everyone to give New Year’s money to the youngest, little friend Ye Zhile!

“Wishing our Lele a Happy New Year, and that everything goes smoothly,” Wen Yumo said, handing him a red envelope. Ye Zhile planted a kiss on Wen Yumo’s cheek. “Thank you, Dad.”

Next was Ye Junting. “Wishing Lele a Happy New Year, health, and peace.”

“Thank you, Father.”

Following that, Ye Zhijin and Ye Zhichen also offered their blessings and handed out red envelopes. Holding the red envelopes, Ye Zhile bowed devoutly. “Thank you, my good brothers~”

“Haha…”

Next, it was time to watch the fireworks. The whole family stood in the courtyard as gorgeous, resplendent fireworks bloomed in the sky, scattering into countless stars and enveloping everyone beneath them.

Ye Zhile raised his head, the brilliant fireworks reflected in his eyes. He turned his head sideways, looking at the adult’s sharp, handsome profile, and called out: “My Lord.”

“Mn?” Ji Shuohan lowered his head. Ye Zhile reached out his hands, his face full of expectation. “Happy New Year.”

“What did you say?” Ji Shuohan felt the urge to tease him, pretending he didn’t hear.

Ye Zhile pressed a smile into his lips. He moved his lips and finally whispered, “Happy New Year, Husband.”

The world seemed to fall entirely silent, even the sound of the fireworks annihilated in that single sentence, yet the resplendent light shone upon the two of them. Ji Shuohan looked at Ye Zhile, unable to return to his senses for a long time. Finally, he gathered Ye Zhile into his embrace. “I told you to ask for a red envelope, not to flirt with me.”

He kissed Ye Zhile’s lips. “I’ll give it to you when we get home.”

Ye Zhile pursed his lips into a smile and hid in Ji Shuohan’s embrace.

Watching the two looking so affectionate, Ye Junting smiled with gratification, wrapping his arm around Wen Yumo as they watched the fireworks together.

It was already very late when they returned home, but Ji Shuohan still earnestly prepared a red envelope for Ye Zhile. Handing it to him, he blessed him sincerely: “Wishing Baby a lifetime of peace and smoothness, free from disasters and hardships.”

Ye Zhile took the red envelope and hugged Ji Shuohan. “Thank you, My Lord.”

Ji Shuohan stroked his head. Gazing at the person in his arms, he kissed him.

The lively and active freesia was able to joyfully merge with the calm and steady cedar. Ji Shuohan gazed at the person beneath him. The teenager’s skin was fair with a hint of red, sinking into the soft cotton quilt, his eyes so flustered he didn’t know where to look.

“Baby, we are married.” Ji Shuohan kissed him gently.

“I know!” Ye Zhile was both shy and angry. Ji Shuohan’s words seemed to be laughing at him for being so scared he ran out of the hot spring pool earlier. Ye Zhile gave an angry ‘hmph’.

The person in his embrace was pampered and willful, yet like a small hook, he scratched at Ji Shuohan’s heart. He chuckled lightly, “Oh, then what should you do?”

Ye Zhile parted his lips, slowly raising his arms to wrap around Ji Shuohan’s neck, taking the initiative to kiss him.

As if given a permit, the cedar pressed down upon him with complete abandon.

A Top-tier Omega was no match for an Enigma’s pheromones and stamina. Ye Zhile felt both regret and resentment, wanting to break free and run away every single moment. But all the strength in his body seemed to have been drained dry; he couldn’t exert an ounce of effort, not even having the strength to cry out.

Ji Shuohan was also suffering somewhat. An Enigma’s power was formidable, while the Omega was delicate and fragile. He had to constantly control his strength to avoid hurting his Omega, but occasionally he would lose control…

In the end, he carried the person who was soft as if boneless to clean up. When lying in bed, seeming to realize he had gone overboard, Ji Shuohan hugged the person to sleep. “Sorry, Baby.”

“I won’t forgive you…” Ye Zhile said weakly.

Ji Shuohan gave a light laugh.
