EO Romance: The Supreme Leader Is About to Enter the Crematorium Chapter 7

Chapter 7: Is the Supreme Leader Picking on Him?

As soon as military training began, Ji Shuohan ordered five laps around the track. The crowd looked at the 400-meter runway and wailed in unison.

The Alphas bore the brunt of it, seeming to have a competitive streak, running faster and faster. The Omegas, however, did not have such physical stamina. Leng Xingtu cursed as he ran beside Ye Zhile, “Running five laps right off the bat? Isn’t this just pure torture?”

Ye Zhile didn’t speak. Leng Xingtu asked him, “You don’t have any complaints?”

Ye Zhile turned back and smiled. “Although I can’t run fast, I think it’s okay.”

“Are you a masochist?” Leng Xingtu’s eyes went wide as he glared at him. “Idiot!”

Ye Zhile had a face full of question marks as he watched Leng Xingtu’s back speed ahead. “Why scold me?”

In truth, having been in poor health since childhood, he rarely participated in group activities. His health had only improved after growing up, so he approached this military training with the excitement of an unknown adventure and a sense of collective belonging. But clearly, Leng Xingtu had misunderstood.

Ye Zhile didn’t dwell on it for long and sped up, not wanting to fall behind.

After finishing the five laps, the Alphas were relatively fine, but the Omegas collapsed onto the ground. Ye Zhile sat on the ground, leaning back on his hands and gasping for air. The scorching sun roasted them; his face was flushed red, and a mist rose in his round, youthful eyes.

“Tired?”

Ye Zhile looked up. Ji Shuohan was looking down at him from above. Ye Zhile shook his head, then hurriedly nodded. “Tired! But I can persevere.”

“Mn.” Ji Shuohan glanced at him and walked away. Ye Zhile seemed to see a hint of relief in his eyes.

“Being good-looking really makes a difference; even the Chief Instructor came down personally to ask.” Cheng Tingyan’s words were full of sourness. The few Omegas beside him didn’t respond, but the way they sized up Ye Zhile showed they agreed.

Ye Zhile hadn’t heard these words originally, but Leng Xingtu beside him suddenly said, “Ugly people are always making snide remarks.”

Those few people heard this. Their faces instantly turned colorful shades, but they dared not speak out in anger.

However, Ye Zhile, this simpleton, turned his head. “Huh? Are you talking about me?”

“…” Leng Xingtu looked at him with exasperation. “Idiot! How on earth did you grow up?”

Ye Zhile looked at Leng Xingtu’s expression, then noticed Cheng Tingyan, who had been staring in their direction. He instantly understood and smiled apologetically at Leng Xingtu. “Thank you. You’re actually quite a nice person.”

Leng Xingtu, who had been inexplicably issued a “good person card”: “…”

This idiot! How can he be so silly!

“Assemble!”

“Everyone, move to the Military Training Base immediately!” Wei Xichu announced loudly. “Left face! Double time, march!”

Normally, the Journalism major didn’t have to go to the Military Training Base with other majors, but now that the Supreme Leader was here, they were treated no differently from the majors that trained all year round.

Having witnessed the Supreme Leader’s authority, no one dared to whimper. However, Ye Zhile still heard Leng Xingtu muttering behind him, “What kind of person is this? Journalism majors don’t go to the battlefield.”

“What if we do?” Ye Zhile turned back and whispered, “Isn’t there field work and such? Don’t you plan to consider field work in the future?”

Seeing the excitement in his small eyes, Leng Xingtu asked, “You seem to be looking forward to this military training?”

Ye Zhile smiled shyly. “I’ve never participated in military training before, so I have a little bit of expectation.”

Leng Xingtu glanced at him sideways and scolded, “So stupid.”

Ye Zhile’s brows drooped. Scolding me again…

The Military Training Base was in full swing. Ye Zhile looked at the mud pits, single-plank bridges, obstacle courses… he was completely dumbfounded.

“Report!” This time it was Ye Zhile reporting. He looked at Ji Shuohan and asked uncertainly, “Do we have to do all of these?”

“Yes.” Ji Shuohan nodded. “Not just do them once, but for the next fourteen days, you will be doing them all.”

“Huh? No way?!”

“This is too miserable!”

“Why is it the same as the Mech Academy!”

“If I knew that, I would have just applied for the Mech major!”

“Forget it. With your B-rank Alpha physique and spiritual power that’s worse than an Omega’s? Tch!”

“If you feel you cannot do it, you can quit, but your final quality assessment score will be zero,” Ji Shuohan stated.

Everyone fell silent.

After the low crawl, Ye Zhile’s excitement vanished, and his expectation for military training was obliterated. He was currently lying on the ground, the dust beneath him puffing up into his face from time to time.

“If you can’t hold on, you can give up.” Ji Shuohan stood beside him, looking down at him. His eyes held no heartache or tenderness for his own Omega, only coldness and disdain.

Ye Zhile gritted his teeth, glared stubbornly at Ji Shuohan once, and crawled forward without a word.

Who says he can’t do it! Hmph!

After crawling out, Ye Zhile faced the single-plank bridge. His balance was decent, and he passed it faster than some Alphas. But the climbing net was a struggle; it took him a long time to climb up. The net was difficult and entangling. Ye Zhile was weak when he came down, and he fell far behind everyone else during the obstacle crossing. Finally, he crawled through the cement pit together with another Omega.

“Last place, Ye Zhile.” Ji Shuohan held the timer, looking at him.

Ye Zhile’s small face was plastered with mud, looking like a little calico cat. His eyes, large and bright, stared at him. Ji Shuohan had intended to say some harsh words, but seeing him like this, he couldn’t bring himself to say them.

“Everyone! Dismissed!”

Ye Zhile let out a sigh of relief and sat kneeling on the ground. Seeing that Ji Shuohan hadn’t left yet, he just stared at him.

Ye Zhile buried his head, feeling a delayed sense of grievance. The Leader was clearly targeting him just now. Being last wasn’t his fault; what could he do if his physical strength couldn’t keep up?

“Young Master Ye seemed unwell just now.” Wei Xichu followed behind Ji Shuohan. When Ji Shuohan turned back, he added, “Young Master Ye is an Omega; naturally, he cannot be trained as an Alpha.”

Ji Shuohan thought of Ye Zhile kneeling on the ground in exhaustion, looking at him pitifully before lowering his head in grievance. He sighed. “Omegas are just trouble.”

“…” Wei Xichu thought, Although the Leader says that, he respects Omegas considerably. It’s just a pity that it’s limited to Enigma etiquette, rather than love for a spouse.

Ye Zhile went back to the dorm to shower and met Lu Xingyan at the cafeteria for dinner. The Alpha had an astonishing appetite, clearing two trays of food, while Ye Zhile was still chewing slowly. Lu Xingyan told him, “Eat more. I didn’t expect your Journalism major to have to train at the military base too. Can your small body handle it?”

“Who said I can’t handle it!” Ye Zhile couldn’t stand hearing those words; he got agitated immediately. Especially since Ji Shuohan thought he couldn’t do it and told him to give up twice. “I’m very amazing too, okay! I didn’t even complain about being tired!”

“Okay, okay, okay! Our Lele is the best!” Lu Xingyan was extremely supportive, putting food in his bowl. “Eat more. Being strong makes you even more amazing.”

Ye Zhile hurriedly shoveled a few mouthfuls of rice, stuffing his cheeks full. Lu Xingyan laughed watching him, then thought of something. “Lele, if any Alpha comes to hit on you, don’t pay attention to them, understood? Don’t give out your contact info and don’t go out alone.”

Ye Zhile had become quite popular in their freshman group chat, especially after someone secretly took photos of him and posted them. Lu Xingyan was angry but helpless, so he could only warn the person himself.

Ye Zhile’s eyes went wide. “Not even to make friends?”

“Of course not! There’s no pure friendship between AO!” Lu Xingyan said indignantly. However, Ye Zhile blinked. “Aren’t we?”

This question made Lu Xingyan feel guilty. He lied, “Of course we are. That’s because I’m a high-level Alpha, so pheromones don’t affect you. That’s why we can be good friends.”

“I know, I know.” Ye Zhile brushed him off. After speaking, he sneezed. Lu Xingyan touched his forehead nervously. “Caught a cold?”

Ye Zhile shook his head. “I don’t think so.”

The intimate behavior between the AO was all seen by Ji Shuohan. Wei Xichu stood behind him, not daring to speak. The Supreme Leader wouldn’t care, after all, he didn’t like him…

“Who is that Alpha?” Ji Shuohan asked.

“That is Young Master Ye’s high school classmate and good friend,” Wei Xichu replied.

Ji Shuohan looked thoughtful. A moment later, he turned and left.
