Esports: The Scheming Jungler Tempts the Mid Laner chapter 20

Chapter 20: Spring Split Schedule

The group ate and chatted in the private room, the atmosphere very lively. Wu Cheng suddenly cleared his throat, attracting everyone’s attention. He opened his mouth and said: “The schedule for the first week of the first round of the Spring Split Regular Season is out, and our match is scheduled for the second week of the first round.” Everyone stopped their movements, eyes focused on Wu Cheng. He continued:

“There’s no time for you to go home for New Year’s this year. The first match of the first week of the first round is on February 10th. We are on February 11th. Fortunately, the match is at the local venue in Shanghai.”

Chi Jing shrugged, indicating he didn’t care about these things. Anyway, he had no attachments or burdens now. Whether attending the competition earlier or later didn’t make much difference to him.

Wu Cheng looked at everyone’s plaintive eyes and added with a smile: “Of course, there’s just no time for you to rush home on the day of the Spring Festival, but I won’t be that unreasonable! Vacation starts from the beginning of February until February 5th, then you come back to report. How about it? This way you have enough time to have a good New Year with your families.” After speaking, his gaze swept over everyone, a hint of a smile in his eyes.

The Top, Shooter, and Support trio showed joyful smiles upon hearing this. Although they couldn’t go home on the day of the Spring Festival, at least being able to accompany their families during the vacation made them feel very satisfied.

“Great!” Song Qi slammed the table and stood up.

“Yeah, finally can celebrate New Year with parents!” Yuan Jibai chimed in, his face beaming with happiness.

Qi Feng was born locally. The advantage of being close to home was that he could go home anytime he wanted. However, this time he chose not to go home but to stay at the base for New Year’s.

Although it was only over an hour’s drive from his home to the base, he decided to avoid this lively festival. The reason was nothing other than not wanting to face his parents’ nagging and rushing. For Qi Feng, New Year’s meant growing another year older, and age increase was often accompanied by parents’ attention to his personal issues.

Every time he went home, they always nagged about his marriage, making him feel pressured. Despite this, Qi Feng knew clearly that escaping wasn’t a solution after all. After all, New Year’s was a time for family reunion; he couldn’t hide from his family’s concern and expectations forever.

So, no matter what, he had to find a time to go home, communicate properly with his parents, and explain his thoughts and plans. Although he knew this would be a difficult conversation, he also understood that only in this way could the problem be solved. He felt it was also time to talk to his parents about coming out.

Chi Jing: “I won’t go back. I’ll just stay at the base.”

Wu Cheng nodded, considering his family situation. He had intended to ask what Chi Jing planned to do anyway. Qi Feng’s eyes darkened, but in the end, he didn’t speak.

Song Qi raised his hand and said: “We want first class!”

Wu Cheng laughed and scolded: “When have I ever wronged the waists of you ancestors?”

The group finished the meal harmoniously and returned to the base for training. The schedule arranged by Wu Cheng also came out.

“You guys must sleep before 3 AM at the latest! Wake up before 11 AM, start training at 3 PM. Everyone starts with seven hours minimum! You can allocate it yourselves. Little Mo, you can’t exceed six hours max! Stop and rest every hour and a half, hear me?”

Mo Jingchun nodded to show he understood. Wu Cheng continued: “There’s still a week until New Year’s Day. You get one day off for New Year’s Day, you can arrange it yourselves. Training continues after New Year’s Day! Weekly training time cannot be less than forty-five hours. Are your streaming hours enough? It’s the end of the month.”

Yuan Jibai looked up at the sky and let out a long howl, his heart full of anger. He still had thirty hours! What did this mean? It meant that in the next seven days, he had to spend at least over four hours streaming every day. This was simply an astronomical figure! He couldn’t help feeling a wave of despair.

“Holy shit!” Song Qi roared: “I still have nearly over forty hours!”

Chi Jing had no streaming hour requirements this month at all. Qi Feng had completed his performance as early as the middle of the month, even over-fulfilling it. Although there might be a little “water” (fluff/padding) in it, generally speaking, it was harmless.

Song Qi: “Brother, I remember you still have 18 hours, right?”

Mo Jingchun: “Mn.”

Song Qi: “This little one’s life is entirely in your hands! Brother, you can’t just watch me die without saving me!”

Mo Jingchun: “Streaming for others is prohibited.”

Song Qi: “…”

Suddenly, looking at Song Qi’s wilted head, Mo Jingchun still said to him: “I’ll accompany you to make it up, okay?”

Song Qi’s eyes shone like stars, filled with sincere gratitude. That bright gaze seemed able to penetrate all obstacles and reach the depths of the heart. Every ray of light was like a twinkling star, staring until Mo Jingchun’s throat felt dry.

Qi Feng half-squinted his eyes, watching the two of them with a weird gaze. That strange atmosphere seemed filled with pink bubbles, making people feel a chill attack, goosebumps rising all over the body. However, he naturally wouldn’t easily admit his true feelings in his heart—jealousy.

He roared internally: Why haven’t I gotten my wife yet! Why?!

Mo Jingchun’s mouth hooked into a seeming smile, his phoenix eyes narrowing slightly, eyes full of teasing and banter. He raised an eyebrow, looking at Qi Feng like looking at a fool, his face unreservedly writing three big words: “You can’t do it.”

Such an expression and manner made Qi Feng grit his teeth in anger, but he was helpless. He could only secretly gnash his teeth, a sour feeling surging in his heart. Can’t rush it.

He was angry.

He was “red-temperature” (overheating/angry).

Eh? Little Chi looked at him!

Cough cough… not angry anymore.

Chi Jing sat on his left hand side. The distance between the two was close enough to smell the faint hotpot scent on the other. Their arms touched gently from time to time; that warmth transmitted through the clothes made Qi Feng feel the temperature here seemed higher than elsewhere.

His heartbeat accelerated involuntarily, and his throat became a bit dry. Rolling his Adam’s apple, he tried hard to suppress the urge to kiss Chi Jing. However, this restraint made him feel an indescribable suffering, as if a fire was burning deep in his heart, unable to subside. He cursed himself inwardly for being useless, pulled his clothes down, stood up, and returned to his room.

The moment he stepped into the room, it was as if he entered a private world belonging to him. He didn’t hesitate to take off his clothes one by one, movements smooth and natural. Every piece of clothing seemed endowed with life, sliding down gently, revealing his healthy physique and solid muscle lines. His skin shimmered with a faint luster, seeming to emit a unique charm.

Barefoot on the soft carpet, he quietly walked into the bathroom and gently closed the door. The room was filled with a tranquil atmosphere, only the sound of water flowing in the air. That sound was like a melodious tune, gradually becoming clear with his steps. The sound of water filled the room. He felt incredibly hot. Standing in the bathroom looking at his hand, he said a sentence:
