 Chapter 23
The four-member band left the stage, and Bai Sinian went around the auditorium entrance and rushed backstage.
Just as he was about to lift the backstage curtain, the four of them were about to come out, and seeing Bai Sinian’s slightly red eyes, they were all stunned.

Bian Rui said, “Just call you Dad and you’ll treat us to dinner, then the whole school should call Cui Yeyi’s dad ‘Dad’.” He then took the lead in walking out of the auditorium.
The rest followed behind, and when Cui Yeyi’s name was cued, he finally came to his senses, his mind just full of the image of Bai Sinian dancing.

Since high school students can’t drink alcohol, they used Coke as a substitute, raising their Coke cans, “Cheers!!”

So the two had a small verbal battle, Bai Sinian didn’t let Bian Rui off, and he was secretly proud to the skies, he was actually bickering with the idol he had liked for years, just thinking about it made him savor it endlessly.
Just then, Bian Rui’s mom suddenly accelerated, Bai Sinian and Bian Rui were both pulled back by the inertia.
“Mom, what’s wrong?” Bian Rui looked at his mom with slight concern.
Bian Rui’s mom suppressed her smile and focused on driving, no, it was more accurate to say speeding. Bai Sinian looked out the window and soon noticed another black Ferrari persistently chasing them from behind.
It couldn’t be some paparazzi chasing them, right?
But paparazzi shouldn’t be able to drive such an expensive car.
At this point, Bian Rui’s mom’s phone rang, she hesitated for a few seconds before answering, since the phone was connected to the car’s Bluetooth, the conversation could be heard in the car.
“Yangzi, let me see you one more time, just once, okay?” A man pleaded on the phone.
Zhou Yangzi’s cold voice, a bit like Bian Rui’s, “It’s over, there’s no need to meet.”
The man sounded a bit agitated, “Then I’ll keep chasing your car, don’t you consider the others in the car?”
Zhou Yangzi gripped the steering wheel and gritted her teeth, “Okay, I’ll stop the car up ahead.”
After hanging up the phone, Bian Rui said, “Mom!”
Bian Rui’s mom slowly pulled the car over to the side, turning to them and saying, “It’s okay, you two just sit in the car and wait for me, I’ll chat with him for a bit and come back.”
After Bian Rui’s mom left, Bian Rui and Bai Sinian were both nervously watching out the window, the man’s crazy chase of the car made them feel very uncomfortable.
Soon they saw Bian Rui’s mom and the man struggling under the streetlight. It was obvious that Bian Rui’s mom wanted to leave, but the man wouldn’t let her.
Bian Rui couldn’t take it anymore, he pushed open the car door and rushed out, Bai Sinian following closely behind.
“Let go of my mom!” Bian Rui grabbed his mom’s hand, trying to snatch her back from the man’s hands.
The man looked to be in his thirties, a little younger than Bian Rui’s mom, wearing an exaggeratedly heavily made-up T-shirt, refusing to let go.
Bian Rui was afraid that the tug-of-war would hurt his mom, so he couldn’t hold back and directly punched the man in the face.
The man was immediately ignited with rage, he released his grip on Zhou Yangzi, rushing over to grab Bian Rui’s collar and raised his foot to knee his calf.
After all, Bian Rui was only a high school student, not as strong as a middle-aged man.
Suddenly, a dark figure pounced and directly knocked the man to the ground, finally giving Bian Rui a temporary respite.
Immediately after, Bian Rui hadn’t even blinked, a warm pool of red blood splattered on his face.
