F4 High School Band Makeover chapter 49 & 50 part 1

Chapters 49 & 50 part 1

Zhou Yingzi managed to land a job just before school started, so she didn’t have time to send her son off.

She could only entrust the task to Bai Sinian’s parents.

Bai Sinian’s parents liked Bian Rui more and more the longer they looked at him. Aside from his handsome appearance, he knew his boundaries, didn’t interrupt, and was polite and sensible—the perfect obedient boy in the eyes of the older generation.

After they ate in the school cafeteria, Bai Sinian’s mom came over to personally make the beds for them, giving a live tutorial in the process.

They helped clean the dorm, bought a pile of daily necessities, and stayed busy until evening before leaving reluctantly.

After showering, Bai Sinian sat leaning against his bed, legs crossed, playing on his phone.

“That brat Cui Yeyi hasn’t even left home yet.”

Bai Sinian scrolled through the messages in the group chat and spoke to Bian Rui. He casually joined their sticker war.

Bian Rui was still unpacking his suitcase. With his back to Bai Sinian, he said, “Don’t we have to report to class tomorrow?”

Bai Sinian: “Yeah! I get it. He definitely wants to be the late one so he can attract the attention of the whole class. Everyone will remember him immediately.”

Bian Rui: “Sounds like something he would do.”

Bai Sinian stared at Bian Rui’s back, overjoyed. Even now, he was still immersed in the joy of being able to live with his idol.

This living arrangement would last for four years!

How many fans in the world could have this kind of luck?

Hehehe…

Bian Rui took clothes out of his suitcase, stood up, and turned around, only to see Bai Sinian grinning foolishly.

“?”

“Oh, I… I’m looking forward to school starting!”

Bian Rui smiled and shook his head, placing his clothes into his wardrobe. “We have class in Teaching Building E tomorrow. What about you?”

Bai Sinian quickly opened the group chat for new directing students and scanned the notice. “We’re in Building A. Is it far? Should we eat lunch together?”

“Should be in the same teaching area,” Bian Rui said, moving back and forth putting clothes away. “Let’s eat together.”

“Okay! Let’s invite Cui Yeyi.”

“Mhm.”

Bai Sinian lay on the bed scrolling through his phone. The messages in their Senior 2 Class 2 group chat hadn’t stopped.

Many classmates were reporting to new schools today. Scattered across the country to study, they chatted about everything from each school’s orientation ceremony to the cultural differences between the North and South.

In a blink, there were 99+ messages.

Even when Bian Rui turned off the lights to prepare for sleep, Bai Sinian was still scrolling.

He saw someone in the group say they weren’t used to it—going to school in a strange environment alone for the first time, living in a strange dorm, it felt terrible.

Quite a few people in the group expressed resonance, and others popped up to comfort these lonely classmates.

Bian Rui replied to a message from his mom before bed, then stuffed his phone under his pillow and closed his eyes to sleep.

Suddenly, he heard Bai Sinian speak in the darkness. “Thank you, Bian Rui.”

Bian Rui opened his eyes and asked quizzically, “What for?”

“Nothing,” Bai Sinian chuckled. “Sleep. Goodnight.”

Thank you. Because you’re by my side, I haven’t felt lonely.

Leaving home for the first time as an adult, going to a distant and strange environment, and having to accept a brand-new life—this was a pain everyone experienced while growing up.

Because he had Bian Rui, he didn’t feel too much discomfort or pain.

Bian Rui didn’t overthink it. He closed his eyes again and fell asleep quickly.

Early the next morning, Bai Sinian woke up before his alarm even rang.

Perhaps subconscious excitement was at work; he hadn’t slept soundly all night, eagerly looking forward to meeting new classmates and teachers.

Rustling sounds came from the bed next to him.

“You didn’t sleep?” Bian Rui’s slightly raspy voice drifted over.

Sounds so good.

Even though he had heard it many times, Bai Sinian’s heart felt like it was struck by something every single time.

“Why are you up so early?”

“You were tossing and turning all night. Not used to it?” Bian Rui asked.

Bai Sinian sat up in bed and rubbed his hair, which looked like a bird’s nest. “I’m used to it. I just feel a bit excited. Tired, but couldn’t sleep.”

“Understandable. Get up. Catch up on sleep tonight.”

After speaking, Bian Rui also climbed out of bed. His pajamas were pressed into uneven wrinkles, and a large expanse of chest muscle was exposed at the collar. Bai Sinian couldn’t tear his eyes away at all.

First thing in the morning, and he was already parched from looking.

He cursed himself inwardly. How can you have such dirty thoughts about your divine idol! Bonk!

“I’ll go wash up first!” Bai Sinian threw off the covers and rushed to the bathroom.

Bian Rui stretched, yawning as he got up to make his bed. He tidied Bai Sinian’s bed as well before starting to change clothes.

The two dressed and washed methodically, like an old married couple who had lived together for years, performing every task with rhythm.

After starting university, they no longer had to wear uniforms, which actually added a lot of trouble for Bai Sinian—he always had to think about how to coordinate his outfit.

He picked through his wardrobe for ages before finally settling on a white T-shirt, jeans, and white sneakers.

Bian Rui didn’t have any decision paralysis. His wardrobe consisted of black, gray, and other dark-colored T-shirts that matched anything.

They went to the cafeteria for breakfast together, then headed to their respective classes.

Bai Sinian’s Directing Class A had only 30 people in total. The first day was mainly for self-introductions and getting to know each other. The counselor introduced the school’s philosophy and characteristics, telling them the standards and requirements of their major.

The morning passed very easily. The counselor assigned the task of running for class officer positions.

Bai Sinian wasn’t very interested in that; he wanted to spend his time with “Dazzling Star.”

After the morning affairs ended, Bai Sinian went to Building A to wait for Bian Rui to go to the cafeteria. Cui Yeyi messaged saying he had already saved seats there.

The two arrived late. From a distance, they saw Cui Yeyi sitting dazzlingly in a window seat in the cafeteria.

“Hi! Bro!” Cui Yeyi waved at them.

Bai Sinian straddled the chair opposite him, frowning slightly. “What is this outfit?”

Cui Yeyi was wearing a blindingly shiny silver necklace and a loose, brightly colored pink T-shirt featuring an Impressionist oil painting of a man. He had even slicked his hair back with mousse.

“Greasy,” Bian Rui commented as he sat down.

Cui Yeyi rolled his eyes at him. “You straight male with no aesthetic sense! This is called youth, fashion! Get it?”

Bai Sinian raised a hand and pressed down, signaling them to calm down.

“What do you want to eat? I’ll get it for you.”

“Ah, thanks, Bian Rui. I want Lanzhou hand-pulled noodles.”

“Okay.”

Cui Yeyi: “I want a bowl of pulled noodles too!”

Bian Rui: “Go get it yourself.”

Bian Rui walked away coolly. Cui Yeyi stared indignantly at his back. “Why did he get it for you but not for me?!”

Bai Sinian: “Uh… Eh? What major are you in again? How many people are in your class?”

“Sigh, I got adjusted to some ‘3D Film and Television Resources’ thing. I don’t know what it does; heard it’s a new major.”

Cui Yeyi was successfully distracted. Speaking of this, he had too much to complain about.

“There are only 29 people in the whole class, and not one is more handsome than me. That I can accept, but there isn’t even a pretty female classmate. I won’t have any spirit in class from now on. However! I discovered there are still a lot of beauties in the whole school!”

Bai Sinian: …

Shouldn’t have changed the subject.

Bai Sinian: “Are you here to attend college or a beauty pageant?”

Cui Yeyi: “Handsome guys and beautiful girls are easy on the eyes; they stimulate my motivation to study. I’m an adult now; surely you can’t still control whether I date or not?”

He started counting on his fingers. “I want to date until the end of time. I’ll date five, six, seven, eight people, so my passionate youth won’t be in vain!”
