Part 2
Gu Youchen’s gaze remained fixed on Ning Qingqing. Watching her write with fluid grace, his mind involuntarily conjured up an image of the girl practicing calligraphy in Qingtang Town.
Although he hadn’t seen it, he had seen the small bridges, flowing water, and the tranquil atmosphere of her hometown.
She must have stood by the window, with the murmuring stream below, writing seriously as the light from outside shone through the lattice window, making the young girl’s skin appear translucent and white.
He suddenly really wanted to go to Qingtang Town with her.
When Ning Qingqing finished a sheet, Old Master Tan exclaimed first, “Good! Very good! It has the charm of Elder Zhang!”
Ning Qingqing looked up and smiled. “Grandpa Tan, don’t praise me too much, or I’ll get arrogant.”

Shen Yeyuan glanced at his daughter. “Is she like you? All day long you only know how to buy bags and jewelry, refusing to learn anything!”
Shen Zhiyu couldn’t help but retort, “No matter how good she is, it has nothing to do with us anymore!”
Thinking of his sick son at home, and then looking at Ning Qingqing beside Ning Ruojun, Shen Yeyuan felt an indescribable suffocation in his chest.

Ning Qingqing raised her hand, signaling him to move aside, and said coolly, “I have ink on my hands. I’m going to wash them.”
Gu Youchen walked beside her. “I’ll go with you.”
“No need.” Ning Qingqing didn’t stop walking. “Go chat with your old acquaintances.”
Gu Youchen had been half-skeptical of Tan Xin’s words, but hearing this, he was finally sure.

Ning Qingqing ignored him and walked straight to the restroom.
Gu Youchen waited for her in the corridor.
When Ning Qingqing came out after washing and tidying up, the man grabbed her hand.
“Qingqing, let’s go outside for some fresh air.” As he spoke, Gu Youchen pulled her towards a small door at the other end of the corridor.
Because everyone was in the main hall, Ning Qingqing didn’t dare make a scene, so she followed Gu Youchen to the garden in the back.
As soon as they stood behind the rockery, seeing no one around, the man lowered his head to kiss her.
Ning Qingqing dodged. “What are you doing? We’re outside.”
Seeing the girl’s puffed-up cheeks, Gu Youchen held her hand and said seriously:
“Qingqing, listen to my explanation. Tan Xin and I are just ordinary classmates. I have never liked her, and she only treats me as an ordinary classmate. Don’t misunderstand.”
Ning Qingqing hadn’t expected Gu Youchen to explain so directly. She huffed, “When did I misunderstand?”
Gu Youchen had to play along with her words. “My Qingqing didn’t misunderstand. I was afraid Qingqing might misunderstand.”
Ning Qingqing turned her head away and ignored him.
Although she ignored him, the anger in her heart inexplicably dissipated by a small half.
Gu Youchen continued to coax her. “Tan Xin told me just now that she has a boyfriend. They are getting ready to marry, and she plans to bring him to meet her parents this time.”
Ning Qingqing actually didn’t know this, so she perked up her ears to listen.
She couldn’t help but grumble internally: If she has a boyfriend, why say all those misleading things?

Most of Ning Qingqing’s unhappiness dissipated, but she still said haughtily, “Oh, so a lot of people confessed to you before?”
Gu Youchen hadn’t expected that after his long explanation, this would be Ning Qingqing’s focus.
He chuckled low. “So Qingqing is still jealous?”

Gu Youchen’s kiss had already landed on the tip of her ear.
Instantly, a numbing shiver ran through her, making her draw a sharp breath.
He bit lightly and said, “So, please, Qingqing, only like me from now on too.”
Whatever happened in the past was in the past. He only wanted the future.
As long as Ning Qingqing only liked him in the future, that was enough.
Ning Qingqing’s breath trembled. Before she could speak, Gu Youchen nuzzled her again, kissing her sensitive earlobe.
Ning Qingqing couldn’t help but let out a soft whimper.
She surrendered. “Okay, I promise.”
Note: Someone is plotting every step of the way, even getting an advance on Qingqing’s confession during his own! Qingqing: Some people seem innocent like elementary schoolers on the surface, but are actually calculating old foxes. I’ve been tricked!
