Chapter 11: Do It or Not
There were still some furnishings not yet placed in Qin Huai’s home, but it didn’t look cluttered. The items waiting to be arranged were sorted and placed in the middle of the living room, while a dining table for two was set up outside the kitchen.
Duan Ke blew on the perfectly shaped sunny-side-up egg, broke the runny yolk, and swallowed it in one bite with the distinct grains of rice. His eyes widened in surprise, and he shoveled another mouthful of rice.
Qin Huai glanced at him and silently pushed the plate with two other sunny-side-up eggs over. Duan Ke’s gaze followed Qin Huai’s movement to his forearm, seeing the thin, long scar—the one he cut with a knife last night to feed him.
It had barely closed; a slight touch would make beads of blood seep out again. The surrounding skin was red, sporting a few faint teeth marks.
Obviously, created by Duan Ke sucking and gnawing.
Duan Ke’s chewing slowed down. He put down his bowl very guiltily and whispered, “Did I… hurt you a lot last night?”
Qin Huai had almost forgotten about this wound. He glanced casually at his arm and spoke the truth: “Doesn’t hurt. Don’t feel much.”
Of course, Duan Ke didn’t believe it. That cut was quite deep; if left untreated, it might scar.
After eating, Duan Ke didn’t leave immediately.
He pulled Qin Huai to sit on the gray fabric sofa and said seriously, “I’ll secretly use a little charm mag… cough cough! Kitten magic, to make your wound heal faster. That way you won’t hurt.”
Succubus charm magic wasn’t only used to control human minds; it also had a tiny healing function. After all, succubi easily damaged their keepers’ vitality during feeding. Without healing magic, they’d have to change keepers frequently, which was too troublesome.
Duan Ke grabbed Qin Huai’s forearm and placed it on his own lap, gently pinching the wound.
Qin Huai’s muscles were honed just right, firm but not exaggerated. But his frame was large; it took two of Duan Ke’s hands to completely encircle one forearm. The size difference was very obvious.
Qin Huai’s skin tone was a healthy wheat color, contrasting sharply with Duan Ke’s milk-white complexion. Duan Ke’s fingers were warm, his movements deliberately light, making Qin Huai feel like he was being rubbed by the paw pads of a boneless kitten.
Duan Ke’s palm pressed against the wound, and a mass of dark black magic condensed around Qin Huai’s injury.
A few seconds later, the magic dissipated. Qin Huai only felt a chill on his skin, and the wound was completely invisible.
Qin Huai retracted his hand, looked at it briefly, and confirmed Duan Ke hadn’t secretly pulled any tricks, just simply healed the injury.
“Thank you.”
But Duan Ke seemed stunned, staring a bit blankly at the healed skin without responding. Seeing him like this, Qin Huai raised an eyebrow very slightly and asked, “What’s wrong?”
“Oh… nothing.”
I just didn’t expect that after awakening top-tier charm abilities, the healing effect would be so exaggerated.
Duan Ke was secretly alarmed. Before, when Li Zheng sprained his ankle playing basketball and fractured the bone, Duan Ke had secretly used healing magic on him too. Even so, it took Li Zheng three days to fully recover, far from the exaggerated effect of instant healing just now.
As all demons knew, the stronger the effect of the spell, the more magic it consumed.
Then just now… how much of my precious magic did that consume!
Right now, I can only feed once a week! What if I get hungry halfway through?
Just as he thought this, Duan Ke felt the demonic markings on his abdomen begin to throb faintly. If this continued, maybe this body would make him lose his reason, climb through the window into Qin Huai’s room in the middle of the night, and gnaw on whoever he saw.
Would this scare away the keeper I had such a hard time finding?
Qin Huai quietly watched Duan Ke, whose eyebrows had drooped into a figure-eight again, and asked, “Have something to say?”
Duan Ke hesitated for a moment and mumbled, “How about we change the feeding method, okay?”
Consuming blood was the least efficient feeding method. It was like eating nothing, simply a waste of Qin Huai’s incredibly powerful sexual energy.
And Duan Ke couldn’t possibly allow his keeper to hurt once a week just to feed him.
Qin Huai’s brow twitched. Remembering the fierce feeding methods Lin Jiangli mentioned before, he silently scooted a bit further away.
He thought for a moment and suggested, “When you’re at my place, secretly use magic to eat my vitality indirectly, so your leader won’t find out.”
Qin Huai could roughly guess who Duan Ke’s “leader” was.
Besides the Mountain Ghost, the monsters causing the accident today included a giant dragon from the West. Lin Jiangli checked his file and found this dragon was powerful and influential, had decent strength, and lived in the same dorm as Duan Ke, being quite familiar with him.
Qin Huai guessed that Duan Ke moving out of the dorm to rent a place alone was probably because he was bullied by that monster in the dorm.
Thinking of this, Qin Huai automatically imagined Duan Ke curled up on his dorm bed with teary eyes, too aggrieved to speak. He couldn’t help but raise his hand to touch the top of Duan Ke’s fluffy hair, then quickly put it down.
Now that he’s moved out, that dragon can’t possibly monitor Duan Ke’s every move at all times.
“Can’t do that.” Contrary to Qin Huai’s expectation, Duan Ke still refused. “That terrifying guy will really find out!”
“Many monsters were caught by him holding onto this kind of wishful thinking. He has so many ‘eyes’ in this city; even in a room, it’s very likely to be seen.”
“And… sigh, I’ll tell you secretly.”
Before Qin Huai could react, Duan Ke suddenly leaned in, almost forcing him into the corner of the sofa.
Actually, Qin Huai noticed it last night: Duan Ke seemed to have absolutely no understanding of human “personal space.” For example, last night, wearing underwear and a bath towel, he dared to come out to see people soaking wet, not shy at all.
And now, his whole body was pressed against Qin Huai’s side, like a piece of soft marshmallow half-melted by fire, soft and clingy. This person unknowingly brought his head to Qin Huai’s ear, his lips close enough to graze the outer ear.
“He is a heinous big villain… kills demons without blinking, and is unreasonable. I’m most afraid of him.”
The skin grazed by Duan Ke’s warm breath was slightly hot. Qin Huai’s Adam’s apple bobbed. lifting his eyelids, he saw a patch of snow-white chest and exquisite, pretty collarbones under Duan Ke’s loose clothes.
“…Mn, understood.”
Although Qin Huai responded, Duan Ke felt he wasn’t listening at all, being a bit perfunctory. But he didn’t dwell on this issue, continuing to press against Qin Huai’s right arm, asking, “Then, let’s change the feeding method. Is kissing okay?”
Qin Huai was silent.
Why circle back to the initial method? Didn’t I cut myself just to avoid kissing? Was last night all for nothing?
“No. Is there any other way?”
Sure enough, Qin Huai still refused.
Duan Ke felt a bit dejected. It seems Qin Huai really dislikes kissing. I’ll try not to kiss him in the future.
But Duan Ke was a succubus good at observing humans. He could clearly feel that his keeper wasn’t as resistant as last night. This made him, easily coaxed as he was, happy again.
So he had a bright idea.
“If you don’t like kissing, then shall we do it?”
Like a thunderclap, the entire room fell silent enough to hear a pin drop.
Qin Huai’s sharp brows furrowed tightly. He asked in disbelief, “What did you say?” Pausing, he squeezed out the second half of the sentence with some difficulty, “…Do what?”
Duan Ke was frank: “Just do it, have sex.”
Seeing Qin Huai still not moving, neither refusing nor accepting, frozen like a plaster statue, Duan Ke was confused.
What’s wrong? Could an adult male not understand? Impossible, right.
Duan Ke tilted his head and thought. Suddenly feeling he understood, he punched his left fist into his right palm.
“You don’t know how two boys do it, right?”
Duan Ke couldn’t finish. His mouth, along with the lower half of his small face, was covered by Qin Huai. He was dragged into Qin Huai’s arms, held tight and immobilized.
Qin Huai pressed Duan Ke’s head into the crook of his neck, not letting Duan Ke look at him, nor letting him continue speaking. Qin Huai’s face remained normal, but his ears were entirely red, practically burning.
Careless, Qin Huai thought.
I should have just kissed him directly to shut his mouth.
Truly a demon with wicked thoughts.
Daring to seduce him like this.
