HIS PHEROMONE SMELLS LIKE CATNIP chapter 68.2

Part 2

After hanging up the phone, Qin Yao looked at Bai He, who had his head down. “Xiao Bao‘s heart softened?”

Bai He frowned. “It’s not that my heart softened. If I knew Zhou Sheng would abuse people, I wouldn’t have used this method.”

“Abuse people?” Qin Yao was puzzled, raising an eyebrow but not exposing it. “Right, that guy is a pervert. When Zhang Yao comes to our company, I’ll let him live at the company.”

Bai He glanced at Qin Yao, always feeling that something was weird.

Outer ring villa area, a detached villa under the jurisdiction of the Zhou family. The curtains in the second-floor room weren’t drawn. Zhang Yao was pressed against the glass window, with Zhou Sheng holding a phone behind him.

He had been pinned here for over an hour without separation, exhausted physically and mentally.

He should have called Bai He as soon as he got the news, but he couldn’t get away. He finally got permission to get the phone, but he dialed the number while Zhou Sheng was pressing him down and doing it.

Zhou Sheng was a complete pervert. Not drawing the curtains in broad daylight was one thing, but he also liked doing it by the window. Occasionally, a few people would walk downstairs outside. Zhang Yao felt terrified, but Zhou Sheng felt even more excited and stimulated.

“I have an interview tomorrow,” he pushed Zhou Sheng, who was trying to bite his neck. “Don’t leave marks!”

Zhou Sheng buried his head and laughed. “Are you trying to run?”

“…” Zhang Yao’s head was pressed against the glass window, gritting his teeth against the force. “Even if I ran, wouldn’t you just catch me back anyway?”

“True.” Zhou Sheng’s lips pressed against Zhang Yao’s gland, lowering his voice. “I didn’t know before that f*cking an alpha would feel this good. How is it? Comfortable?”

Zhang Yao bit his lower lip and didn’t speak. He was then flipped over, his entire back pressed against the glass window, taking another beating. Zhang Yao dodged Zhou Sheng’s approaching kiss, turning his head away. “Let’s skip the kissing. I’m afraid I’ll vomit on you.”

Zhou Sheng’s face darkened for a moment, sneering. “Disobedience requires punishment.”

It was like this every day. Zhang Yao was almost numb, but thinking of tomorrow’s interview, his mood improved somewhat.

Rarely, he didn’t have much thought of resisting Zhou Sheng today.

Bai He went to the hospital in the afternoon. Dr. Li was out for training and wasn’t there, so he registered with another doctor.

The test results came out, and the doctor said he had no problems. Bai He felt more at ease. He sent the results to Qin Yao and took a taxi to FREE.

The interview results came out. His internship position was in the planning team, just like Mu Lin and Shen Hao, not far from the government affairs office.

The team leader in charge of interns was named Tong Tong, an omega girl who had graduated from Omega University two years ago. She could be considered Bai He and the others’ senior.

“The company has been busy lately.” Tong Tong stretched her neck and waist, then regained her spirit. “Since you guys just arrived, go through a few of our company’s games first. After you’re done, everyone tell me your feelings. Both verbal elaboration and document form are required.”

The task wasn’t difficult. Bai He started going through the games at his workstation. The monitor and console were provided by the company and were very comfortable to use.

The work content wasn’t difficult, and time passed especially quickly. Bai He and Qin Yao ate lunch in the office, and he continued working in the afternoon.

Zhang Yao’s interview went smoothly, which wasn’t surprising. Bai He saw the department manager bring him in. He was somewhat surprised that Zhang Yao also came to the planning team.

Shen Hao and Mu Lin’s reactions weren’t so wonderful when they saw Zhang Yao. Bai He didn’t plan to explain for Zhang Yao; he would wait for Zhang Yao to say it himself.

It wasn’t until nearly time to get off work that Zhang Yao came over. He apologized to Mu Lin and Shen Hao very sincerely, without much explanation, just pure admission of mistakes.

His attitude was very sincere. Although Mu Lin and Shen Hao didn’t fully believe him, they weren’t as suspicious as before.

Leaving work, Qin Yao and Bai He came out of FREE together. What surprised him quite a bit was that the person picking up Zhang Yao turned out to be Zhou Sheng, and Zhou Sheng was dressed very formally.

Qin Yao held Bai He, looking up and down at the sharply dressed Zhou Sheng. “You getting married?”

“You’re the one getting married,” Zhou Sheng pulled Zhang Yao over. “Have a gathering tonight. Leaving first.”

Qin Yao was amused. He squeezed Bai He’s hand. “I am getting married. The engagement banquet is coming up soon. Remember to prepare a gift.”

“Got it.” Zhou Sheng waved his hand, pulling Zhang Yao to turn around. “Gone.”

Watching the two disappear, Bai He withdrew his gaze and looked at Qin Yao. “Engagement banquet?”

Qin Yao held Bai He’s waist with both hands from the front, lowering his head. “I said I would give you a very perfect and grand wedding. Let’s get engaged first. You pick the date.”

Bai He thought about it, raising his hands to hug Qin Yao’s waist. “You decide; I’ll listen to you.”

Couldn’t hold back, he lowered his head and kissed Bai He. Fragrant. The faint catnip pheromones made Qin Yao’s throat dry. He pressed his tongue against his teeth. “How about we discuss it with the family?”

“Sure.” Bai He pondered. “You haven’t been back for a long time either. Shall we go to your house?”

This was the first time Bai He actively proposed going back to the Qin family home. Qin Yao was instantly overjoyed. “Great! Let’s go back tonight and freeload a dinner while we’re at it.”

Qin Yao sent a message home and led Bai He to the car. They stopped to buy some things on the way—fruit and flowers. Too grand would seem distant. Qin Yao told Bai He that buying fruit was fine; everyone in the family liked fruit.

Driving home only took a few dozen minutes. Qin Diandian was the first to run out and greet them, pouncing directly on Bai He.

“Brother Bai He, long time no see!” Qin Diandian hugged Bai He’s thigh and looked at Qin Yao beside him. “Qin Yao, have you been treating Brother Bai He well?”

“Little girl.” Qin Yao squatted down and pinched Qin Diandian’s nose. “Brother Bai He is your brother’s boyfriend. How could I not spoil him?”

“Don’t pinch my nose!” Qin Diandian hugged Bai He. “Brother Bai He, save me!”

“Alright, don’t fuss.” Bai He patted the top of Qin Yao’s head. “Let’s go inside first.”

“Okay.” Qin Yao instantly behaved.

The cooking auntie was on leave today. Bai He entered the house only to find that Nan Yu and Uncle Qin were cooking personally. He put down the fruit and wanted to help, but Nan Yu pressed his shoulders and pushed him out of the kitchen. “Internship is hard work; leave it to us. Qin Yao can help. You go rest in the living room.”

Bai He was somewhat flattered. Just then, Old Master Qin came over hugging his chessboard, sat down slowly on the sofa, and waved to Bai He. “Come, little friend, play a game with me.”

Bai He froze. Nan Yu squeezed his shoulder. “Go on.”

Playing Chinese chess wasn’t difficult for Bai He, but he definitely couldn’t be called an expert. Last time he played with Old Master Qin, he had experienced the other party’s chess skills. He was a very strong opponent. Playing a real game against such a master was a very enjoyable thing.

The situation was the same as last time; the game was intense. Qin Wei, who was cooking in the kitchen, came out once, still wearing an apron around his waist and holding a spatula in his hand. At this moment, he was also standing next to Bai He, observing the chessboard with a solemn expression.

This scene amused Qin Yao and Nan Yu for a while.

“Can’t move the horse. If he goes around, the rook will take your horse anyway.” Qin Wei stood next to Old Master Qin at this time, resting his chin on his hand and saying this, only to receive a slap from Old Master Qin, who was buried in thought. “Need you to tell me? I have eyes to see. This game has me blocked stiff. Let me think carefully…”

Bai He looked calmly at the chessboard. In fact, his situation wasn’t much better. Once he relaxed, he would be defeated.

Just then, a hand reached out from behind. Qin Yao held his shoulder. “Alright, big friends and little friends, dinner is ready. Let’s continue this game later.”

Old Master Qin rarely breathed a sigh of relief, standing up. “Then halftime break. Continue after dinner.”

The Qin family had a rule: no matter how busy they were, as long as they were home, they should eat when it was time to eat, and they couldn’t let the cook’s hard work go to waste.

Bai He also stood up. He could be considered relieved, withdrawing from the anxious situation, his brow still furrowed. Qin Yao reached out to help him smooth it.

Xiao Bao is really popular in our family.” Qin Yao cupped Bai He’s face and smiled. “So good at chess. When will you play a game with me too?”

“Forget about you, kid.” Old Master Qin, who came out after washing his hands, heard Qin Yao’s words and shook his head straight at Qin Yao. “You can’t even beat me, and you want to play with Bai He? Isn’t that asking for trouble?”

Nan Yu, sitting in the dining room, covered his mouth and laughed. Qin Wei also had a smile on his face. Qin Diandian laughed especially heartlessly. “Brother Bai He, my brother even lost to me a few times!”

“Hey!” Qin Yao was amused. “Save me some face!”

Another round of laughter ensued, warmth lingering in the air. A surge of warmth welled up in Bai He’s heart. He followed Qin Yao forward, as if walking into the light.
