Chapter 108
The pheromones on the second floor were surging madly. The door to Shen Yisi’s room was cracked open. Inside, he was buried deep in the soft bed, eyes closed, brows furrowed tightly.
This rut had come somewhat suddenly. He turned his face slightly, burying half of it into the pillow, trying hard to suppress the restlessness in his body.
The only fortunate thing now was that the only Omega in the house, Shen Shuyu, was out.
Shen Yisi thought of something and used his remaining reason to reach for the terminal on the bedside table. However, as he retracted his hand, his elbow hit the edge of the bed. He lost his grip on the terminal, and it fell to the floor. Despite the thick carpet, it made a muffled thud.
Shen Yisi took a deep breath, wanting to reach down to pick it up, but another hand was faster.
He looked up along that hand in a daze. It was Shen Shuyu.
Shen Shuyu placed the terminal next to him, holding a glass of water in his hand. He asked with concern, “Brother, are you okay?”
As he spoke, he offered the glass. “Drink some water?”
Shen Yisi snapped back to reality and said hoarsely, “Get out.”
The restlessness in his body seemed to become even more uncontrollable after seeing Shen Shuyu. Seeing that Shen Shuyu didn’t react, Shen Yisi roared in a low voice, “Get out!”
Shen Shuyu pursed his lips. He placed the water glass on the bedside table. “Then I’ll go out first.”
He glanced at Shen Yisi again. Shen Shuyu had never truly experienced an Alpha’s rut. He just wanted to check on him. After all, the housekeepers were Betas. Even if the pheromone concentration in the villa went off the charts, they wouldn’t notice; at most, they might feel the air was a bit stuffy.
Shen Shuyu thought, Maybe I should call Yue Cheng. As Shen Yisi’s close friend, he would know what to do. Thinking this, he walked toward the door, not noticing that Shen Yisi had already gotten up from the bed.
It wasn’t until he heard movement behind him that Shen Shuyu looked back in confusion. Shen Yisi was stumbling toward him. Shen Yisi’s state was completely wrong; his eyes were much redder than before, staring intently at Shen Shuyu.
Shen Shuyuās heart trembled. Instinctively sensing danger, he wanted to leave immediately, but the Alpha, having lost his reason, was faster and grabbed him.
A body radiating heat pressed against his back. Shen Shuyu felt the hairs on his body stand up.
“Pheromones…” Shen Yisi gasped, his voice weak. His gaze fell on the inhibitor patch on the back of Shen Shuyuās neck. Seeming very dissatisfied, he freed a hand to tear it off.
Seizing the moment his attention was on the patch, Shen Shuyu shoved Shen Yisi hard. Shen Yisi, unstable, stumbled back two steps. Shen Shuyu glanced at him, not caring if Shen Yisi was hurt, only wanting to flee this dangerous place.
But an Alpha in a rut is extremely difficult to deal with. Shen Yisi reacted even faster, catching up immediately. This time, his movements were much rougher. One hand clamped down on Shen Shuyuās shoulder like a vice, while the other went to tear at the patch.
Shen Shuyu struggled, feeling a stinging pain at the back of his neck. Shen Yisi had ripped off the patch he had just put on!
The scent of camellias was faint, but enough to drive an Alpha crazy.
Shen Shuyu regretted it to death. Why can’t an Alpha in a rut even recognize his own family!
He felt the pads of Shen Yisiās fingers pressing against his gland. His body temperature was high, and so were his fingers. The gland was fragile to begin with; being touched like that made Shen Shuyu go weak in the knees.
He hurriedly reached back to cover his gland. Shen Yisi was dissatisfied and tried to pry Shen Shuyuās hand away. In a moment of desperation, Shen Shuyu shouted loudly, “Brother!”
Is it… Little Yu?
Dominated by instinct, Shen Yisi suddenly regained a shred of clarity. He looked at the young man confined in his arms, and in the next second, quickly let go.
Shen Shuyu let out a sigh of relief. He walked forward two steps before turning around to face Shen Yisi.
Shen Yisi wasn’t as frantic as before. He opened his mouth, about to say something, but then spoke rapidly, “Call Yue Cheng. Go stay at the apartment near the school for a while. Don’t come back.”
Shen Yisi took a deep breath. He found it hard to speak of what he had just wanted to do. Looking at Shen Shuyuās face, he looked away, trying hard to return to his usual gentle demeanor. But his remaining willpower was crumbling. He said hoarsely, “Get out quickly. Close the door.”
Shen Shuyu strode toward the door. Heeding Shen Yisiās words, he closed the door tight upon exiting. The corridor was still thick with Shen Yisiās pheromones. He ran downstairs quickly before taking out his terminal to call Yue Cheng.
After explaining the situation to Yue Cheng, Shen Shuyu gave instructions to the housekeeper. He was about to leave, but remembering Shen Yisi’s loss of control, he thought for a moment, walked out the front door, and sat on the steps outside.
Heād better wait for Yue Cheng to arrive before leaving.
Shen Shuyu lowered his head and sniffed himself. He smelled entirely of snowy pine, as if he had been marinated in the scent.
The ABO world was terrifying. Although he knew Alphas and Omegas were affected by pheromones during special periods, he didn’t expect it to cause such a total loss of reason.
He didn’t dare think about what would have happened if his shout hadn’t brought Shen Yisi back. He absolutely wouldn’t have escaped that room.
Shen Shuyu sighed. Even someone as powerful as Shen Yisi couldn’t resist a rut. For some reason, he felt a bit melancholy.
His own world was better; it didn’t have all this messy stuff.
Shen Shuyu lowered his head, looking gloomily at the tips of his shoes.
Ten minutes later, Yue Cheng ran over like the wind, carrying a medical kit.
Shen Shuyu looked up at him, quickly stood up from the steps, and went to meet him. Yue Cheng was still panting. He asked, “Where’s your brother?”
“Upstairs,” Shen Shuyu said. “He’s in a rut.”
Yue Cheng inhaled, frowning in disgust. “I can smell it. You’re practically pickled in his scent.”
Yue Cheng glanced at his watch. “You go. I’m going up.”
Shen Shuyu called out to him. Yue Cheng looked back. Shen Shuyu said, “Brother Yue Cheng, sorry to trouble you.”
Looking at Shen Shuyu, Yue Chengās thoughts strayed for a second, but he quickly snapped back. He raised his hand and rubbed Shen Shuyu’s head. “Don’t worry. Be careful on your way.”
Shen Shuyu hummed in agreement. He watched Yue Cheng enter the villa before breathing a sigh of relief and walking away.
Second floor of the villa.
Yue Cheng deftly injected the inhibitor into Shen Yisiās body. After putting away the syringe, he collapsed onto the floor, exhausted and panting slightly. “I say, why are you so difficult to deal with this time?”
Since coming up, he had been assaulted by Shen Yisiās pheromones. It took a lot of effort to administer the injection.
Alphas naturally repelled each other. It was fine usually, but during a rut, only an Alpha’s own Omega could get close.
After the inhibitor was injected, Shen Yisi recovered significantly from the groggy, aggressive state.
He propped himself up slightly to look at Yue Cheng lying on the floor, sighed with relief, and fell heavily back onto the bed. His chest heaved as he waited for the inhibitor to take full effect.
Yue Cheng rested for a moment before sitting up. Looking at Shen Yisi, whose eyes were open, he said, “Did Little Yu come in?”
Shen Yisi gave a confirmation.
Yue Cheng sighed. “He waited downstairs until I arrived before leaving.”
Shen Yisi stared at the ceiling, feeling his body gradually calm down.
But a rut wasn’t that simple. Generally, it lasted 3 to 6 days. This time, Shen Yisi’s rut came suddenly without warning and was extremely fierce, as if something suppressed for a long time had finally broken out.
Yue Cheng thought for a moment and said, “But why did you suddenly go into a rut?”
Counting the time, shouldn’t Shen Yisi’s rut have already passed?
Shen Yisi pursed his lips slightly. “I don’t know. Maybe I’ve been too tired recently.”
Yue Cheng gave a soft “Ah” and asked, “Is it because of Shuyu’s matter?”
Shen Yisi didn’t answer. A heavy sigh echoed in the room.
