I Became a Heartthrob After Transmigrating into an ABO World chapter 109

Chapter 109

It was already past noon when Shen Shuyu returned to his home near the school. He ate something casually outside. He had intended to curl up on the sofa, but looking down and sniffing himself, he realized he still smelled of Shen Yisi’s pheromones. He needed to shower first.

Shen Shuyu sniffed again and dug out clean pajamas from the bedroom. The temperature in the room was much warmer than outside. Just as Shen Shuyu took two steps toward the bathroom with his pajamas, the heart pain from the hospital visit suddenly struck again.

Shen Shuyu groaned. This time, it hurt so much he squatted down immediately, curling up to wait for it to pass. But the pain lasted longer than before.

Shen Shuyu was in so much pain his mind became hazy. He knelt on the floor, fingers clutching his pajamas, sweat dripping down in large beads.

[System connecting… System connection failed…]

Shen Shuyu heard this sentence in his mind just before he passed out. Then, his vision went black, and he fainted.

Bang bang bang!

Bang bang bang!

Shen Shuyu groggily heard the sound of banging on the door. He opened his eyes, staring at the ceiling, his vision not yet fully focused.

The knocking continued—bang, bang, bang. He seemed to hear voices too.

Shen Shuyu climbed up from the floor. He checked his watch; he had actually been out for nearly half an hour. Fortunately, the heating in the room was sufficient.

The door was still being banged on wildly. Shen Shuyu shook his head. The pain in his heart had vanished, just like any other day.

He placed his pajamas on the sofa and walked toward the noisy door. He looked through the peephole—Feng Xing?

Why was he here?

Shen Shuyu felt his brain was a bit messy, but he opened the door.

Feng Xing was mid-knock, his hand suspended in the air about to fall, when he saw the door open. He muttered, “I’ve been knocking for ages. Why did you take so long?”

Shen Shuyu replied, “I didn’t hear it just now.”

Feng Xing looked at his face and finally noticed that Shen Shuyu’s complexion was unnaturally pale. Startled, he hurriedly asked with concern, “Are you not feeling well? Why do you look so bad?”

Shen Shuyu touched his face. In his rush to open the door, he hadn’t checked his appearance. He lied casually, “Got caught in a bit of rain, feeling a bit cold. Nothing serious. Come in.”

Feng Xing stared at him for a few more seconds before entering the room. But the moment he stepped in, he couldn’t help but exclaim, “Whoa! Why do you smell so strongly of wood? It makes me feel uncomfortable.”

Shen Shuyu said, “I was just about to shower. My brother suddenly went into a rut. I just came from home.”

Feng Xing said “Ah,” adding, “No wonder. I called your house, and the housekeeper said you came back here.”

He sniffed the pheromones in the air again and lied, “Actually, this pheromone smells pretty good. I was just talking nonsense earlier; don’t take it to heart.”

Shen Shuyu looked like he wanted to say something but stopped. Finally, he said, “…Can you not be a pervert?”

Feng Xing chuckled. “Then you go shower first. We’ll talk after you’re done.”

Although his words were insincere, his behavior was honest. Alpha rut pheromones were truly unpleasant to other Alphas.

Shen Shuyu knew this too. “Fine. Make yourself at home.”

Feng Xing made an ‘OK’ sign and picked up the remote to turn on the TV.

Shen Shuyu picked up his pajamas again and walked into the bathroom. After closing the door, he stood in front of the mirror and looked up, only to realize his complexion was indeed terrible. His face was bloodless. No wonder Feng Xing reacted so strongly.

Shen Shuyu turned on the faucet, washed his face with hot water, and rubbed his cheeks vigorously until he finally brought some color back. He looked much better now.

When his heart hurt earlier, for a moment, he suspected he might have an actual heart condition. But hearing that familiar mechanical voice before he passed out, he was certain: the Main Brain was messing with him.

But what puzzled him was—the System was clearly connecting, so why did it fail in the end?

He called out the System’s name twice more. Still no response.

Shen Shuyu felt uneasy. Between the System’s state and his heart hurting twice in one day, something big was definitely brewing.

Shen Shuyu looked up at himself in the mirror. After staring for a while, he slowly took off his clothes and stepped under the shower.

Because Feng Xing was waiting, Shen Shuyu took a quick shower. When he came out, he found Feng Xing had spread the things he brought on the coffee table.

Shen Shuyu sat on the sofa while towel-drying his hair. After the hot shower, his face looked better. His gaze fell on the scripts on the table. “So many?”

Feng Xing said proudly, “I’ve marked out the lines for all your characters.”

He picked up a copy in front of him. “This is the Evil Dragon role you wanted.”

Shen Shuyu took it and flipped through it casually. “The Evil Dragon has this many lines?”

Feng Xing said, “Villains always talk a lot. And this is already reduced; I cut some out.”

Shen Shuyu sighed. “Alright, I’ll take a look.”

Feng Xing hummed in agreement. Shen Shuyu asked, “Have the roles for the others been decided?”

Feng Xing said, “Not yet. But I sent messages to all three of them telling them to meet in Classroom 106 during the lunch break on Monday to pick roles.”

Shen Shuyu was the first to have a confirmed role. After all, Feng Xing felt that as long as Shen Shuyu was happy, the others wouldn’t be picky.

Moreover, he had altered the script, changing ‘Prince saves Princess’ to ‘Prince saves Prince’. Who wouldn’t say “I ship it” after seeing that?

The story wasn’t long; it was just a simple fairy tale. But after changing it to a Prince saving a Prince, it gained a certain bromance flavor, fitting the novel perfectly.

Shen Shuyu asked, “You’re letting them choose? You’re not assigning them?”

Feng Xing said, “That wouldn’t be good.”

They were all classmates, not a real director casting actors. It was better to let them pick the roles they liked. Assigning them would be awkward.

Shen Shuyu said, “I feel the Knight suits Wen Jiafei quite well.”

Feng Xing asked, “How so?”

“Because he doesn’t talk much.” Shen Shuyu’s reason was very simple. The Knight character was essentially the Prince’s lackey. Seemingly present throughout, his lines were actually the fewest and very repetitive.

Always saying things like “The Evil Dragon is coming,” “The Evil Dragon is so strong,” “Prince be careful,” and so on. It fit Wen Jiafei perfectly.

Of course, the main reason was that the two Princes would definitely be Chi Yanxun and Shen Xili.

Feng Xing laughed. “Now that you mention it, that seems right.”

He said, “Alright, I’ll tell Wen Jiafei and see if he’s willing.”

“Just tell him I chose it for him. He’ll definitely agree,” Shen Shuyu added as he watched Feng Xing take out his terminal.

Feng Xing made an ‘OK’ sign and deftly sent a message to Wen Jiafei.

[Feng Xing: Wen Jiafei, Shuyu chose a Knight role for you. Few lines. Are you willing?]

In a moment, Wen Jiafei replied.

[Wen Jiafei: Mn.]

“He really agreed.” Feng Xing gave Shen Shuyu a thumbs up. “I’ll tell Chi Yanxun and Shen Xili too.”

After all, only two roles were left, both Princes. The only difference was that one had many scenes and many lines, while the other had fewer scenes and fewer lines.

Shen Shuyu went to the kitchen to get two bottles of mineral water. Feng Xing took the water and said, “Roles are set.”

Shen Shuyu hummed. “How so?”

Feng Xing showed his terminal screen to Shen Shuyu. It was his conversation with Chi Yanxun.

[Feng Xing: Captain Chi, there are two Prince roles left to choose from. Which Prince would you like to choose?]

[Chi Yanxun: Who has fewer lines?]

[Feng Xing: The Prince captured by the Evil Dragon has the least lines.]

[Chi Yanxun: That one.]

[Feng Xing: Okay. Let’s meet in Classroom 106 at lunch break on Monday to walk through the lineup.]

Just as Shen Shuyu was about to withdraw his gaze, Chi Yanxun sent another message. Shen Shuyu raised an eyebrow as he read the line.

[Chi Yanxun: Which one is Shen Shuyu playing?]
