I Became a Heartthrob After Transmigrating into an ABO World chapter 15

Chapter 15

Shen Shuyu raised his eyes to glance at him sideways, pretending to be impatient. “Would I shortchange you? So slow.”

After speaking, he lowered his head again, shoveling rice from his bowl.

He really didn’t know where Shen Yisi bought this rice; it was a hundred times more fragrant than any he had eaten before.

It was just that after becoming an Omega, his appetite had shrunk significantly. Even if it was delicious, he couldn’t eat much, or his stomach would hurt.

Wen Jiafei’s gaze remained on him, sweeping over his fingers holding the chopsticks, his arm, his jet-black hair, and the gland exposed because his head was lowered.

Unlike Betas, whose glands were naturally atrophied, the glands of Alphas and Omegas were very obvious at the back of the neck, slightly raised. The skin burying the gland was flushed with a faint red. Glands were private, yet Shen Shuyu exposed his right in front of him without any concealment.

Wen Jiafei took a slow, deep breath. He didn’t speak and went back to eating slowly.

Shen Shuyu put down his chopsticks not long after. He said, “I’m going to rest. Wake me up twenty minutes early. If you leave suddenly like yesterday, don’t blame me for being ungracious.”

He returned to the bedroom and hurriedly called Xiao 1 out. He said, [Help me watch Wen Jiafei.]

Xiao 1 said somewhat aggrievedly: [Master, my energy isn’t meant to be used as a surveillance camera.]

Shen Shuyu said without changing his expression: [You know what this Little Psycho is like. What if he comes in and stabs me while I’m resting? You won’t have to worry about me anymore; you can just switch to a new master.]

Xiao 1 flickered twice. Switching masters was much more troublesome than being a camera. It wasn’t happy, but it honestly started acting as a surveillance camera.

Only after Wen Jiafei tidied up the bowls and chopsticks did he slowly walk out of the kitchen.

While Shen Shuyu was there earlier, he had been forcibly enduring the physical discomfort. Now that he was gone, there was no need to pretend anymore.

He walked to the sofa. After sitting down, he leaned back slightly, breathing in and out slowly as waves of pain washed over him one after another.

Wen Jiafei fished out a painkiller pill from his pocket, broke it in half, stuffed it into his mouth, and swallowed it dry. The back of his head pressed against the sofa as he quietly waited for the painkiller to take effect.

Xiao 1 broadcasted Wen Jiafei’s movements to Shen Shuyu in real-time. Finally, after saying Wen Jiafei had fallen asleep, Shen Shuyu said, “Looks like he fought pretty intensely last night.”

But hearing that Wen Jiafei was asleep, he added: [Can you adjust the temperature in the living room? Set it to something comfortable.]

Xiao 1 flickered twice: [Okay, Master.]

After doing all this, Shen Shuyu finally closed his eyes with peace of mind. In his mind, Xiao 1 suddenly popped up with a sentence: [Master, you treat Wen Jiafei quite well.]

Shen Shuyu curled his lips: [It concerns my longevity; can I not be good?]

Xiao 1 said: [I feel it’s not entirely because of that.]

Shen Shuyu’s smile flattened a bit. Just when Xiao 1 thought it wouldn’t get an answer from Shen Shuyu and was about to enter sleep mode, Shen Shuyu spoke in a light, airy tone.

He said: [Maybe, I saw the old me.]

Xiao 1 flickered twice, then completely entered its hibernation period.

Shen Shuyu had a good nap during the lunch break and was energetic all afternoon. The Reserve Department had gone to the Interstellar Army for training these past two days, so naturally, there were no plot points involving him.

He walked alone along the academy paths. Xierteng Academy had too many departments; he had been here for so many days and still hadn’t had the chance to finish touring the Mecha Department.

Shen Shuyu marveled at the sights as he walked. Every time he saw these things, he had a sense of unreality.

He looked at the clouds in the distance, thought for a moment, then stopped. He took out his Terminal from his pocket, set it to camera mode, and aimed it at the sky. Just as he was about to snap a picture, he heard somewhat panicked footsteps. Just as he was about to look, he was knocked staggering the next second. He lost his grip on the Terminal, and it fell to the ground with a clatter.

Shen Shuyu frowned. He turned his head to look. The person who bumped into him was wearing a mask and a black baseball cap; only a pair of good-looking brows and eyes were visible.

The person whispered low, “Sorry, I didn’t hurt you, did I?”

Shen Shuyu shook his head. “It’s fine.”

He bent down to pick up the Terminal. The person then said, “Is your thing broken? Sorry, I was in a rush to get back to the classroom and didn’t notice you.”

Shen Shuyu waved his hand. Just as he was about to speak, Xiao 1 suddenly spoke up in his brain: [Detecting Protagonist, Shen Xili. Please take note, Host. Please take note, Host.]

Shen Xili?!

Shen Shuyu jerked his head up to look at the person in front of him. He hadn’t expected this person to be Shen Xili.

Shen Xili also hadn’t expected the person in front of him to suddenly look up at him, eyes filled with incomprehensible thoughts. Was it broken?

The lips under the mask pursed slightly. After a thought, he took off his hat and mask, revealing his complete face.

At the first glance, a sentence popped into Shen Shuyu’s mind: Breathtakingly beautiful.

In the original novel, besides dedicating large passages to describing Chi Yanxun’s hormones, the Protagonist Shou, Shen Xili, naturally wouldn’t be lacking either.

Compared to the Protagonist Gong Chi Yanxun’s handsomeness, Shen Xili’s appearance leaned more towards beauty. Although he was an S-class Alpha, he looked scholarly and coolly aloof. When he wasn’t fighting, anyone who didn’t know him would think upon first glance that he was a gentle Omega.

Shen Shuyu looked at him and felt that this face really resembled Shen Yisi. No wonder the secretary could spot the clue at a glance during the recognition plot.

He and Shen Yisi were simply carved from the same mold, except his facial lines were softer than Shen Yisi’s.

Seeing Shen Shuyu staring at him without speaking, Shen Xili couldn’t help raising his hand and waving it in front of his eyes. “Classmate?”

Shen Shuyu snapped back to reality. He said, “I’m fine.”

Shen Xili looked down at the Terminal in his hand and thought for a moment. “I am Shen Xili from the Reserve Department. Go back and check if the Terminal is broken. If it is, come find me, and I’ll compensate you. I have other matters, so I’ll leave first.”

Shen Shuyu put the Terminal away. In the novel, the times he was alone with Shen Xili were few; usually, there were others present, or Chi Yanxun was there.

Running into him today was purely an accident. After all, according to the plot, their first meeting should be at Chi Yanxun’s birthday party.

Shen Xili must really have had urgent business; after speaking, he left hurriedly.

Shen Shuyu watched his retreating figure and only withdrew his gaze after he was out of sight. He lost interest in taking photos of the scenery and walked toward the Mecha Department.

Variables outside the plot were indeed different. And…

Did the Shen Shuyu in the text realize something was wrong at the first meeting? After all, the two Shen brothers looked so alike. Even as an outsider, he found it incredible, let alone Shen Shuyu, who grew up with Shen Yisi.

Shen Shuyu lightly kicked a pebble. The pebble rolled a few times, fell into the grass on the side, and finally vanished.
