I Became a Heartthrob After Transmigrating into an ABO World chapter 180

Chapter 180

On the other side, Shen Yisi and Shen Xili both sat in the back of the car with dark expressions, each looking out their respective windows. The pressure was so low it could freeze someone to death.

Not long after the two of them had left the police station, they received a call from the Chief saying that Black Robe had escaped. His ability was too bizarre. They had already reported it to colleagues who handled special cases and had suppressed Black Robe according to the protocols for special cases, but he had still managed to escape cunningly.

Shen Yisi and Shen Xili immediately felt something was wrong. A minute later, Yue Cheng called to say that Shen Shuyu was missing.

Shen Yisi massaged his temples. His head had been throbbing all day. Shen Xili’s matter had finally been resolved, and he had been thinking about how to explain it to Father and Mother Shen, but as soon as he turned around, Shen Shuyu was gone.

Now, he had even less of an idea of what to say.

“I’m sorry.”

A voice offering an apology came from beside him.

Shen Yisi opened his eyes and turned his head toward Shen Xili. “Why are you apologizing?”

Shen Xili said, “Shen Shuyu didn’t have to suffer through any of this, but because of me, he was dragged in.”

“Then you should apologize to him, not to me.” Shen Yisi’s tone didn’t fluctuate much. “The reason you were unwilling to return… was also because of them?”

Shen Xili said, “Half and half.”

The deeper reason was still Shen Shuyu.

Shen Yisi said, “I roughly know what you’re thinking. You felt that if you returned to the Shen family, the family might suffer attacks because of your past as an interstellar pirate, and you felt you didn’t have the ability to protect us yet.”

Shen Xili opened his mouth but didn’t answer or deny it.

Shen Yisi continued, “But whether or not you return to the Shen family, others have been implicated—Xiao Yu, and Wen Jiafei.”

Shen Xili pursed his lips tightly, his hands resting at his sides unconsciously clenching.

Shen Yisi saw the change in him but continued regardless: “To put it bluntly, your ability is still insufficient.”

Indeed. Among the interstellar pirates, he had been forced to become their God of War. He had tried to escape and had even taken the Unlocking Core to save his own life.

He hadn’t expected that group of people to be so insane.

Shen Xili took a deep breath. The title “God of War” was a joke to begin with.

Shen Yisi looked ahead and said, “I heard from Xiao Yu that you want to become a General.”

“Yes.” Shen Xili almost felt his defenses crumble at those words.

A General.

Could a former member of the interstellar pirates even dream of becoming a General? Was he worthy?

Shen Xili turned his head to look out the window. They were currently rushing to find Shen Shuyu. Not long after they had received Yue Cheng’s call, he had received a message containing only a location. His intuition told him it was sent by Black Robe.

He had intended to go to the meeting alone; after all, the person Black Robe wanted was him.

But Shen Yisi insisted on coming along. After all, Shen Shuyu was also his brother.

The winter daylight in Amor was short, and by the outskirts, there were even fewer people at night. He gazed at the deep darkness of the night, as self-reproach and a sense of powerlessness gradually swallowed him.

Although he was much warmer with the extra layer of clothing, he still couldn’t quite stand being exposed to such cold for a long time. Shen Shuyu rubbed his hands vigorously, trying to warm them up a bit; after all, anything was better than nothing.

Shen Shuyu looked at Black Robe. The man didn’t seem affected by the freezing weather at all, sitting calmly on the ground with his eyes closed. It was unclear whether he was meditating or napping.

Shen Shuyu really couldn’t get warm, so he simply stood up and performed a set of military drills. After finishing, he felt his limbs were more flexible, but he didn’t expect to turn around and meet Black Robe’s eyes.

“What? My exercising offended you too?” Shen Shuyu asked.

Black Robe withdrew his gaze and closed his eyes again. Shen Shuyu rolled his eyes hard and couldn’t help but wonder: when exactly would they arrive?

The System had gone to watch them, so Shen Shuyu had no one to ask. The only other breathing person here was the one who had kidnapped him.

Shen Shuyu performed another set of punches. However, he was a bit confused—Black Robe had been furious enough to swallow him alive at first, so why did he have no reaction now that they were actually outside?

He felt like Black Robe was brewing something in his mind, but he couldn’t guess what it was.

After the exercise, Shen Shuyu’s body finally felt truly warm, and his spirits were lifted.

He looked at Black Robe and was about to walk over to ask if he could wander around the beach below. He couldn’t escape anyway, and even if he was about to die, it wouldn’t be bad to see the ocean before he went.

To his surprise, as soon as he got close, Black Robe opened his eyes and stood up. Shen Shuyu said warily, “What are you doing?”

Was he finally going to make a move?

Shen Shuyu rolled his shoulders, only to see Black Robe roll his eyes. “So much nonsense.”

A vortex appeared by his hand again. “Get in.”

Fine, from manual to fully automatic.

Shen Shuyu made an exasperated face and stepped toward it. But just as he was about to step in, he heard Black Robe say, “Are you really not afraid?”

“Afraid of what?” Shen Shuyu said. “It’s just that they’re about to find us, so you’re moving locations to increase the difficulty.”

Black Robe hummed. “You’re quite clever.”

Shen Xili and the others were indeed about to arrive, and they were bringing quite a few people. It seemed he wouldn’t have an easy time tonight.

As Shen Shuyu stepped out of the spatial vortex, he realized they were on the beach.

Shen Shuyu looked at Black Robe. “If you push me down, I can swim. It’ll be enough to last until my brother and the others arrive.”

But Black Robe threw a punch without hesitation, aiming straight for the bridge of Shen Shuyu’s nose. Shen Shuyu tilted his head to dodge, and immediately after, a cold, gleaming knife lunged at him.

Shen Shuyu hurriedly backed up two steps. “Are you sick? We start fighting after one sentence? And don’t you think you’re being a bit of a bully? I have nothing, and you actually have a knife.”

Black Robe toyed with the combat knife in his hand. “Too much talk.”

The combat knife was tossed out, stabbing straight into the sand by Shen Shuyu’s feet. Shen Shuyu was about to bend down to pick it up, but Black Robe’s other knife lunged even faster. This time, he couldn’t dodge in time and reached out to pull up the combat knife to block.

Black Robe revealed a grim smile. “You’ve got some skill.”

Shen Shuyu’s expression also became serious. He raised an eyebrow slightly. “Thanks for the compliment.”

Neither of their combat knives was very long, but the sound of them clashing was exceptionally clear in the silent, boundless seaside.

Finally, Shen Shuyu managed to kick Black Robe away. He panted as he looked at the Black Robe who had been kicked to the ground.

Although Black Robe fought fiercely, his strikes would either tear Shuyu’s clothes, miss entirely, or hit the knife.

It seemed he didn’t truly want his life. It was as if he was intentionally putting on a fight.

Could it be to warm up his body?

Black Robe clutched his chest and stood up. Shen Shuyu said, “Since you don’t want to kill me and I don’t want to kill you, can we stop for a moment?”

As soon as Shen Shuyu finished speaking, a bright light shone between the two of them.

Both Shen Shuyu and Black Robe turned to look. The place where they had just been resting was now filled with people, and more were sliding down from both sides.

Shen Xili and Shen Yisi had arrived!

Shen Shuyu’s eyes lit up. However, before he could rejoice, Black Robe, who was closest to him, suddenly said, “Who said I don’t want to kill you?”

With that, he lunged again. This time, the knife fell even faster, appearing as though he truly intended to kill.

Shen Shuyu barely dodged twice, but he missed one strike. Black Robe cut his left arm directly, and blood immediately gushed out, dripping down the lines of his arm.

Shen Shuyu hissed and glanced down. Ignoring everything else, his right hand gripping the knife subconsciously stabbed toward Black Robe.

The blade tore through the fabric of the clothes and entered the skin. Shen Shuyu froze in that instant; even the pain in his arm seemed to vanish.

He had stabbed Black Robe in the heart.

By the time he regained his senses and wanted to pull the knife out, Black Robe proactively used Shuyu’s force to take a step forward, letting the knife sink deeper into his chest.

Shen Shuyu let go of the knife and just stared at Black Robe. His ears began to ring.

Black Robe had his back to the sea. He could see everyone coming from all directions. His gaze lingered somewhere for a moment before quickly moving back to Shen Shuyu, who stood opposite him with a dazed expression.

Black Robe thought: He looks capable, but in reality, he’s never killed anyone.

His lips moved slightly: “Thanks.”

Before Shen Shuyu could react, he heard a thud. Black Robe fell into the freezing seawater. Coincidentally, a wave crashed over, sweeping his body away. Shen Shuyu subconsciously reached out to grab him, but he was first caught by the people rushing over.

“Xiao Yu? Xiao Yu? Are you okay?”

Was it Shen Yisi?

He anxiously pulled Shen Shuyu into his arms. Shen Shuyu opened his mouth. “Brother, he…”

He wanted to lift a finger to point at the sea, but his mind became dizzy for no reason. In the next second, he fainted in Shen Yisi’s arms.

The surface of the sea was calm now, as if everything just now had been Shen Shuyu’s hallucination.
