I Became a Heartthrob After Transmigrating into an ABO World chapter 2

Chapter 2

Shen Shuyu lay at home for nearly three days, transitioning from initial shock and confusion to numbness, and finally to calm acceptance. Amidst these complex emotions, he finally waited out his heat period.

According to the system, the original host’s heat was induced by an Alpha at the academy who had gone into a violent Rut. While the original host was trying to return to find inhibitors, he accidentally lost his footing and fell into the water. The pool was shallow, but Omegas are extremely fragile during their heat, so he drowned.

After hearing the full story, Shen Shuyu was at a loss for words. Are Omegas really this weak?

He was an orphan and had been raised rough since childhood. He looked scholarly and weak, but his body actually possessed great strength. Hearing the system say this, he couldn’t help but ask:【So now that I’ve become an Omega, will I be this weak too?】

The system responded in his mind:【No, Host. You remain very formidable!】

Shen Shuyu stood before the mirror, carefully examining his face, and asked,【Does this Shen Shuyu look the same as me?】

The system answered:【It is your face. The Master Mind has already replaced the face in the memories of the people in the novel world. Please rest assured, Host!】

Shen Shuyu looked at himself in the mirror and nodded:【I see.】

He had assumed the Shen Shuyu in the book just happened to look exactly like him.

Shen Shuyu stretched his body as he walked out. He had stayed in this luxurious bedroom for three days. Every meal was delivered by a dedicated housekeeper, and when Shen Yisi returned in the evenings, he would occasionally bring him small desserts. He felt he had gained some weight over these past few days.

Shen Shuyu changed his clothes. The system had told him on the first day that the plot hadn’t officially started yet. Before it began, he had no restrictions and could familiarize himself with life here.

After lying down for three days, it was indeed time to go out for a stroll.

He went downstairs, and the housekeeper appeared out of nowhere, holding a thick document bag in her hand.

She smiled and said, “Young Master, are you preparing to go out?”

Shen Shuyu nodded. “It’s too stuffy at home; I’m going out for a walk.”

His gaze fell on the document bag in her hand. “Is that…?”

The housekeeper said, “These are documents the Eldest Young Master needs. He left early today and forgot to take them. I was just preparing to send them to him.”

Shen Shuyu took the document bag. “I’ll go.”

The housekeeper smiled. “Alright. Please be careful, and remember never to take off the inhibitor patch on the back of your neck.”

The housekeeper was a Beta. In this world, Betas couldn’t smell pheromones and didn’t have heat periods; to him, they seemed like the normal people.

Shen Shuyu raised his hand and touched the center of his back neck. There was something similar to a bandage sticker pasted there. This was what they called an inhibitor patch. In case of heat or unstable conditions, pasting it on would block the Omega’s and Alpha’s pheromones, acting as simple insurance for the glands.

He hummed in acknowledgment. “I know.”

Shen Shuyu took the document bag and went out. Standing at the gate of the villa, he took a deep breath of fresh air, then squinted slightly to look up at the sky. From time to time, aircrafts with flashing lights flew overhead.

This was the most common means of transport in this world, as convenient as cars on the ground.

Shen Shuyu wanted to call a “Fly-taxi” to see what it felt like, but after thinking about it, he obediently walked to the main road and hailed a car. It was better to familiarize himself with the scenery on the ground first; he could try the flying taxi next time.

Relying on the original host’s memory, Shen Shuyu got in the car and gave an address. The driver quickly took him to the destination.

Entering the company, Shen Yisi’s secretary guided him to the office, saying Shen Yisi was in a meeting and asking him to rest for a while.

Shen Shuyu wandered around the office once, finding it boring and uninteresting. After telling the secretary, he left.

He walked out of the Shen Group building and slowly walked along the road to the right.

Shen Yisi had told him on the first day he arrived that he had asked for leave from the academy for him, and he could go back to school on Monday.

As he walked, he observed his surroundings. This book world wasn’t much different from his own, except for some awe-inspiring high technology.

The Shen Group was located in the city center, so he reached the bustling commercial street after just a few steps. The commercial street was also more or less the same. He strolled slowly, but as he walked, the system, which had been quiet in his mind, suddenly gave a beep of reminder:【Master~ I detected information on the Protagonist Team! I haven’t detected specifically who it is, do you want to go take a look?】

The Protagonist Team!

Shen Shuyu became interested:【Of course I want to go see!】

The book only had written descriptions of the Protagonist Team. Although he had seen the Protagonist Gong, Chi Yanxun, and… Wen Jiafei in the original host’s memories…

It wasn’t as good as seeing it for himself.

Shen Shuyu made up his mind and followed the system’s prompts to a very remote place. It looked like the back door of some shop; several large dumpsters were full of trash, smelling terrible.

Shen Shuyu subconsciously slowed his breathing because he heard the sound of fighting coming from the innermost alley.

He slowed his pace and walked over, quietly poking half his head out to look. Sure enough, at the mouth of the alley, several people with bright hair colors were surrounding a man in a black shirt.

The man was surrounded in the center by a group of slouching hoodlums. He was very dirty; his black clothes and pants were covered in dust and footprints, and his exposed arms were bruised. It seemed he was outnumbered.

The man was looking down at this moment, so Shen Shuyu couldn’t see his face and couldn’t confirm who he was.

Just as he was hesitating whether to go out and help, he heard a “Yellow Hair” inside speak in a hoodlum tone: “A gland-disabled Alpha. Only this face of yours is worth looking at. How about this: if you serve us brothers well today, I’ll let you go.”

Shen Shuyu keenly caught a few words.

Disabled Alpha.

No way!

The only disabled Alpha in the book, isn’t that the final big villain, Wen Jiafei?!

The one being beaten up is Wen Jiafei?!

Shen Shuyu was shocked. He hadn’t even figured out how to handle Wen Jiafei’s “blackening” arc yet, but he unexpectedly ran into him on his first day out!

In the narrow alley, Yellow Hair rudely pushed Wen Jiafei. Then he squatted down, grabbed Wen Jiafei’s hair, and forced his face up. The moment he met his gaze, he paused for a second, but the vicious movement of his hands didn’t stop.

A shard of smashed glass was pressed against his face. With a little force, a small cut was made, and beads of blood rushed out, dripping down his cheek onto the ground.

Wen Jiafei’s breathing didn’t even change; he just stared at him dead on.

Yellow Hair felt a bit creeped out being stared at like that, but then he thought: He’s just a crippled Alpha, and I drugged him. There’s nothing to be afraid of.

Besides, he had found this kid unpleasant for a long time. Both Omegas he liked had a crush on him. Now that he was in his hands, he had to entertain him properly.

Yellow Hair was just about to increase the force of his hand when the sound of faint footsteps came from behind him. The next second, a whistle sounded from his rear: “Hey, Yellow Hair.”

Yellow Hair hated people calling him Yellow Hair the most. He let go of Wen Jiafei’s hair, stood up, and turned around, wanting to see who was so suicidal.

A very slender man walked slowly in from the alley entrance. The man was wearing a hat and a mask, his right hand casually swinging a long stick.

Seeing Yellow Hair looking at him, the man chuckled lightly. “So many of you beating up one personβ€”if word gets out, isn’t that a bit dishonorable?”
