Chapter 28
Shen Shuyu frowned imperceptibly, but his brow quickly smoothed out because he discovered that Feng Xing seemed to know these people too.
He pretended to be puzzled and asked, “What’s wrong?”
Feng Xing snapped back to reality. He gave a couple of ‘ohs’ and said, “Nothing, it’s just that for a while, I kept seeing them wandering around our school gate.”
They must be looking for Wen Jiafei. However, Wen Jiafei had been going home with him at noon for tutoring recently, so the tutoring matter had been put on hold for now. But to sprint for a spot in the Survival War, Wen Jiafei spent every minute and second at school soaking in the training base, so it was normal they couldn’t block him.
But now that they had found the bar, it seemed Wen Jiafei’s situation was a bit precarious.
Shen Shuyu thought for a moment and said, “How about we follow them and see?”
Feng Xing said “Ah” and replied, “Let’s forget it. Better to avoid trouble.”
If he were alone, he might follow to see what was going on, since the base color of humanity is gossip. But today there was an extra Little Young Master. If he didn’t protect the Little Young Master well, his butt would definitely be beaten raw when he got back.
Shen Shuyu said, “Then if you don’t go, I’ll go look.”
Feng Xing said, “How about I go, and you wait here? I’ll see what the situation is and come back to tell you.”
Shen Shuyu understood his meaning this time. So he’s afraid I’ll have an accident. Thinking about it, last time he fell into the water at the Chi family banquet, he heard later that the Alpha who tried to induce his heat that night was sent by his family to a very arduous and remote place. One didn’t need a brain to know the various implications involved.
Shen Yisi really cherished him, this younger brother.
Shen Shuyu said, “Let’s go together. Don’t worry, I’ll definitely stand far away and just watch.”
Feng Xing was still thinking, but Shen Shuyu was already following those people forward. He muttered, “You be careful!”
The two sneakily followed the group of colorful hooligans to the back of the bar. There was hardly anyone at the entrance of this small alley on ordinary days. Feng Xing watched Shen Shuyu trying to rush forward and hurriedly pulled him back: “Don’t go, let’s just stay here.”
Shen Shuyu looked at them and could only nod.
He was very certain these people were here to block Wen Jiafei.
He and Feng Xing found cover to hide their bodies. The two squatted and watched them. When the group reached the back door, they surrounded it.
Feng Xing squatted for a while and persuaded again, “How about we leave? Those people don’t look like good guys.”
Shen Shuyu said, “Aren’t you curious?”
Of course Feng Xing was curious! But he was more afraid of Shen Shuyu’s impulsive decisions. The Little Young Master loved joining in the fun the most, but his ability to hold people back was top-tier.
Feng Xing still remembered when they were young. Because they were the same age, in the same school, and their parents both worked at Shen Group, Feng Xing unsurprisingly became Shen Shuyu’s sidekick. When they were little and didn’t understand much, he only remembered the Little Young Master on a whim wanted to go to an internet cafe to play the latest game. The two climbed the wall to get out of school. The result was that he got out, but the Little Young Master was still struggling to climb the wall. In the end, neither played the game because the Little Young Master’s climbing efforts attracted the teacher.
While his mind was wandering, he suddenly heard Shen Shuyu ask in a lowered voice, “Xingxing, is that person Wen Jiafei?”
Wen Jiafei?
Feng Xing looked up. Crap, it really is Wen Jiafei.
Wen Jiafei must have come out to throw away the trash, unexpected to be surrounded by them. It looked very ill-intentioned.
“Crap, so those people were blocking Wen Jiafei.” Feng Xing also lowered his voice. He had little interaction with Wen Jiafei at school; the only few times were when the Little Young Master wanted to bully him, and he acted as the lookout.
It was just that recently, the relationship between the Little Young Master and Wen Jiafei seemed to have eased a bit; after all, he was willing to be his tutor.
If it were usual, he could peacefully be a spectator, but he couldn’t quite gauge the Little Young Master’s attitude.
He couldn’t help turning his head to look. The Little Young Master was looking at that spot with a solemn expression.
Yellow Hair had been looking for Wen Jiafei for a full month. Ever since he was saved by a passerby that day, the more he thought about it, the angrier he got. He had intended to block him at school but never saw him. He checked places where he previously worked part-time but couldn’t find him either; the person seemed to have vanished into thin air. Having finally learned from someone else that he was working part-time at the bar today, they rushed over without stopping.
Yellow Hair crossed his arms and sneered, “Wen Jiafei, do you have a helper today?”
Wen Jiafei looked at them coldly. Because of tutoring Shen Shuyu, he was forced to quit many part-time jobs. He kept the bar job, but the manager would only call him over when it was busy.
He didn’t expect to run into them as soon as he arrived today.
Wen Jiafei naturally hadn’t forgotten the loss he suffered at their hands before. His gaze was cold as he looked at them. Originally, he thought it better to avoid trouble, but now it seemed there was no need for him to keep enduring. After all, some people just loved coming up to ask for a beating.
Yellow Hair felt his scalp tingle under that sharp gaze, but he didn’t forget the humiliating words spoken by the two Omegas he fancied when they left him upon seeing Wen Jiafei.
Last time was an accident, letting this kid be saved. But today, he insisted on cutting Wen Jiafei’s face to shreds! A disabled Alpha deserves to compete with him?!
Shen Shuyu and Feng Xing were behind them, so they naturally saw some small movements clearly.
The person to Yellow Hair’s right had his hands behind his back, but he was holding a gleaming knife. Wen Jiafei definitely couldn’t beat that.
Shen Shuyu asked, “I’ll go help him.”
Feng Xing said, “Little Young Master, give it a rest.”
Shen Shuyu said, “He counts as my teacher anyway, and our classmate. Letting him be bullied like this, isn’t it a bit not good?”
Feng Xing looked at him in shock. Such friendly remarks were even more terrifying than Shen Shuyu saying thank you to him just now!
But seeing Shen Shuyu eager to try, he hurriedly grabbed him. What a joke—if Shen Shuyu went, it would be the two of them getting beaten up.
Thinking it over, those hooligans, apart from Yellow Hair and the knife guy, were all Betas. Moreover, the Alpha levels of Yellow Hair and Knife Brother weren’t high. His odds of winning were quite large.
Feng Xing said, “Shuyu, you stay here. I’ll go; don’t run around.”
Shen Shuyu pursed his lips. “Okay.”
It truly wasn’t a good time to expose himself. Feng Xing was a top-tier Alpha, and his combat class grades had always been good. Dealing with a few crude hooligans shouldn’t be a big problem.
Feng Xing gave him a few more instructions, then stood up preparing to walk over and help Wen Jiafei out of the predicament. But unexpectedly, just as he took one step, he saw the back door of the bar open again.
Another person wearing the same uniform as Wen Jiafei walked out.
The faint light hit his face, enough for everyone to see clearly.
Shen Shuyu looked at the person who popped out in shock. What is going on?
Why is Shen Xili here too?!
